Nathan Hale LaCrosse Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, September 7th

Meeting called to order at 7 p.m. – in attendance – Ellen Hofman (Harkey), Glen Osborne, Dorothy Landeen (Root), Kim Allen (Arndt), Richard Strickland, Kelly Malone, Stan Boone

 

AGENDA

Raider Day

Stan reported that there were 5 or 6 interested boys who came by his table at Raider day and 3 girls. Stan will send out an e-mail to the interested potential players and inform them about a playerÕs meeting next week after school. Stan will talk with other coaches from Football and Cross Country about potential players.

 

Information packets

Kelly will put together information packets (time schedules, sign up forms, etc.) for Stan to pass out at the players meeting next week.

 

Car Wash:

Location- Stan talked with E. Davis and S. Mann from N.H. The faculty parking lot is available on September 23rd.

Hours-Discussion regarding conflict w/Husky game traffic. Agreement was reached for the car wash to run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Publicity-Kim will e-mail S. Mann (school secretary) about advertising the car wash in the daily bulletin. [email protected].

Kim will contact Liz Richards- cheerleader coach- about the possibility of having some cheerleaders holding signs for the car wash at the corners of 110th & Lake City, 30th & 110thand 35th & 110th.

Kim will bring 8-10 poster boards w/ Red & Blue markers- day of car wash. Players can design posters before the car wash begins.

Supplies- Stan will bring car wash supplies and hoses from the Lacrosse storage to faculty parking lot.

Ticket Pre-sale – Stan will print out numbered tickets with suggested donation of $5.00. Stan will give out pre-assigned and numbered tickets to each player with the goal for each player to sell 20 tickets. Stan will do this at the playerÕs meeting next week.

Agreement was reached by members to offer an incentive to the player who sells the most tickets. First Place - $50.00 gift certificate from Break-away Sports. Second Place – Pizza from Pagliacci Pizza. Kelly will pick up the gift certificates.

Donations-Top Pot Donuts have donated donuts in the past for fund raising in other sports. Kim will call Ginny Dickson at Top Pots to ask for a donation of donuts to sell at the car wash.

Other-Discussion re: selling remaining Lacrosse T-shirts at car wash.

 

Other Business:

Coach Recruitment – No new applicants since last week.

 

Development of next yearÕs budget discussed.

 

Player recruitment

Discussed incentive for the player who recruits the most players.

Early Registration- Discussion around financial incentive to sign-up early. Motion was passed by the board- early registration $175.00 until Oct. 15th. After Oct. 15th, registration will be $200.00.

Returned Athletic packets need to be returned to the Nathan Hale Athletic Secretary Ronnie Littlefield. She will keep a list of returned forms for each sport. Players will not be allowed to practice until all paperwork is  turned in.

 

Future Business:

The T-shirt order needs to be in by fall in order to have them ready for spring. Players and coaches should decide on the design.

Need to decide on the time for the parent meeting in the fall.

 

Next meeting will be Wednesday, October 4th, at 7 p.m. Kim will e-mail Stan about asking Sandy Mann if the faculty lounge is available for the meeting. If the lounge is not available, then the meeting will be at KimÕs residence.
