Yesterday we went to the North Carolina Zoo with our friends, Greg and Tara. It was about an hour drive from our house. The drive there wasn't without incident though, as Joshua must have decided he wanted to ride with Greg, because he opened his door while we were on the freeway. Yikes! The child lock is now permanently in place. The weather was perfect! We had a great time. Joshua loves the zoo. He got to see gorillas, zebras, giraffes, kangaroos, and a new favorite, the sea lions. He wore all four adults out over the course of the day.
Then Josh had another momentous experience: he got to see Star Wars for the first time. We watched the DVD over at Greg's house. All in all it was a great day.
Next week we're looking forward to Grandma and Grandpa Sumsion coming to visit. And then if we're lucky, we'll also find out what kind of baby we're having (the boy kind or the girl kind).
Last night we decided to have some brownies and milk while we watched tv. Nathan brought me my brownie and milk and then went to get his. I took a sip of the milk and thought I was going to vomit. (There's just nothing like sour milk when you're pregnant!) When he came back into the room I told him the milk had gone off. He looked at me. Looked at the milk. Looked at me again and said "Really?" and then took a drink. One word.... DUH!!!! I guess he just couldn't help it and had to find out for himself. By the gagging, choking, and nasty look on his face it was obvious that he agreed. Moral of the story, listen to your wife!
