One of the wildest and best up-and-comers in the northeast. "The Raging Beast" Bryan Wenzel has worked with the best in wrestling and is only gaining momentum.
WENZEL: I would describe myself as a 6ft. 252lb."loosecannon." LOL. People say I remind them of Rhyno which is a big compliment in my book.

STEIN: How did you get into wrestling? What motivates you to stay?
WENZEL: It's actually a long story. I wrestled in high school and I took part in some amateur wrestling camps. Well the head instructor was one half of the former WWF tag team "The Executioners." When my amatuer days were over, I enrolled at FDU to play football. I was home one weekend to see my alma mater (Butler HS) play football and who did I see in the stands scouting? None other than Mr. Executioner himself. I asked him about getting a tryout or connection into the pro wrestling business and he said he would be wrestling at Wallkill Valley HS in NJ. He said he would introduce me to some people there. So that Friday night I hiked up to WVHS to see my first ever indy wrestling show. It was a lot different that I expected but it was something special. I was introduced to Gino Caruso who ran the East Coast Professional Wrestling school and I was hooked. I started training on October 3rd 1998 and I debuted on February 26th 1999. The thing that keeps me motivated to stay is the love for wrestling and my desire to make it one day. I am not a quitter and I will not leave this business until I have reached my goals. Mark my words!

STEIN: What would you say to someone looking to get into wrestling?
WENZEL: I would definatly tell them to get properly trained and go to a "pro" wrestling school. Its worth it in the long haul. There are some really good schools out there especially WXW's Wild Samoan Training center . I would also tell them to come into this business with RESPECT for everyone! We already have too many "Chiefs" and not enough "Indians."
--------
STEIN: You've gone through a lot of recent changes in personna - from a Moondog to just Wenzel. What prompted the change? What would you like people to know about the new you?
WENZEL: It's true I have changed alot in the last 6 months. Its seems like everyone asks why I changed. Well its simple. Its the year 2002 and I cant be running around acting like a damn dog barking all the time. I was truly sick of acting like that. I am legit crazy at times and hot headed. So I might as well be myself. So when people see me in the ring they know thats actually how I am . What you see is what you get. I do have another side of me that is like a madman hence the name..."The Raging Beast" Bryan Wenzel. Its a shoot, no more games, no more acting, Im just a 22 year old who like to beat the shizity out people. Try and control me lol.
--------
STEIN: You and former co-Moondog Molsoon now have a heated rivalry. What caused you both to come to blows?
WENZEL: Well actually I have a ton of respect for that man. We had a great team that could have made it somewhere ,maybe Japan but we could have done something in this business. It just seemed like we hit a dead end and we had some conflicts that were not resolved. I dont think we were ever given the respect we deserved. Its now a matchup to see who the "Top Dog" really is.
--------
STEIN: You've held titles in promotions throughout PA and NJ and have worked literally from sea to sea (New Jersey and Hawaii). Where have been some of your favorite places to work? Who have you had some of your best matches with?
WENZEL: Well I have been fortunate enough to have traveled a little bit (especially to Hawaii!). I would have to say that WXW is my home now but I really enjoy working with all the indy promotions on the East Coast. Every promotion offers something a little different from the next one. I have had some really good matches with the likes of Ace Darling, Judas Young, Inferno, Crowbar,The Hit Squad, LowKi,Supreme Lee Great,Don Montoya,The Samoans, the list go's on and on.
--------
STEIN: Outside of yourself, who do you think is some of the best independent talent around?
WENZEL: Everyone I just mentioned above with out a doubt and there is a lot of good talent on the indys from coast to coast. I will be honest I think there are a lot of good lightheavyweights but I dont think there are many good heavyweights out there. I would like to think I am one of the better big men.
--------
STEIN: What do you think of wrestling in the NJ/PA area?
WENZEL: It's very crowded with indy talent and promotions. It seems like everyone is running a show and its hard to stand out unless you have people really backing you. I hope my crew at the WXW shows becomes my cult following and Beast-a-Mania spreads like wildfire LOL!! Overall I think the NJ and PA area has some of the best talent in the business!
--------
STEIN: What one thing would you change in wrestling today?
WENZEL: Thats simple. I would get rid of all the politics in the business. It shouldnt be about who you know,it should be about how good you are! In football and baseball the best make it.....in this business the best are sometimes overlooked. Its a shame.
--------
STEIN: What are some of your immediate plans? Any long-term goals?
WENZEL: Well this summer I would like to tour Japan and maybe a little of Canada and the rest of the US of A. I would like to keep getting better and develop my new style...."Break da Back style!" Everyone has the stiff kick and shoot wrestling style....well me and IK have "Break da Back!" I [also] just to keep improving and get back on track...get some damn respect. Seriously though I wanna make it to the WWF in the future and prove all the doubters wrong and do it for myself!
--------
STEIN: If you could ask anyone in wrestling one question, who and what would it be?
WENZEL: Hmmmmmmm. Im not really sure. Maybe I would ask George Steele what made his tongue green. Was it a lollipop? Was it bubblegum? Was it that he stole Mist from the Great Muta? Or was it just green paint? Its a mystery of the universe.
--------
STEIN: Anything else you'd like to add.
WENZEL: Yeah THANK YOU to all my fans and supporters! Wrestlers would be nothing without the fans. My time will come, I just have to be patient and let it happen. One day you will see me in the WWF or in some van down by the river. I am gonna give it my all!! Remeber to check out WWW.WENZELWRESTLING.COM and support indy wrestling.
