Nate's Books is a small, privately owned bookstore part of a struggling strip mall. The store is only a few years old, and was left to Nate when his father (Nate Sr.) died suddenly. Nate Sr. had huge plans for his little bookstore. He loved books like they were his source of life and energy (though reality brought that to a screeching halt). | ||||||||||||||||||
Nate Jr.doesn't share in his father's dream or his love of books. He took ownership of the bookstore because he thought it was the right thing to do, but he runs the place like a corporation instead of the intimate setting Nate Sr. valued. Nate's corporate cheer and "can do" attitude is something the employees take in stride. |
