| Warrior - A close range fighter. Not a powerful magic user, most powerful when using axes, two-handed swords, or sword and shield combination. |

| Rogue - A distance fighter. Well rounded. Most powerful when using bows, though some sword and shield combinations work well for Rogues. |

| Sorcerer - An extremly powerful character, if used correctly. It is more difficuly to make a powerful Sorcerer than any of the other character classes, with their extremely low life. But their mana plus mana shield makes up for it. Sorcerers are best with staves, or a Dreamflange mace. |

| Griswold - Tristram's blacksmith, you will find yourself at his shop a great deal of the time while your in town |

| Adria - Tristram's witch, she sells books, scrolls, staves, ect. You'll see her often if your a Sorcerer |

| Deckard Cain - The town elder. He indentifies items, and gives you quests late in the game |

| Pepin - The town healer, use him to get free healing and buy potions. |
 |
| Wirt - The Peg-legged boy. He sells one item, different everytime you go to town. |
 |
| Wounded Townsman - He gives you the Butcher Quest, then dies. He's not in every game, he appears random in each game. |

| Gillian - Does nothing all that important |

| Farnam - The town drunk, it's just fun to talk to him. |

| Cow - Click multiple times for fun catch phrases! It's fun, they do nothing important. THERE IS NO SECRET COW LEVEL! |
