I'm glad the punk rock thing is dying, because it is stupid. As I've said before, music is a choice of preference, but listening to certain music to be cool is just gay. Gay, gay, and don't think you're cool for it. When the fad phases out, what the hell are you going to do? Listen to Britney Spears? What the hell are you people thinking?

Back to rap. There are three main components of music, and this is from the educated point of view: lyrics, melody, and rhythm. White people music focuses more on melody, while black music focuses more on rhythm. Either way, it's music. If you don't like it, too damn bad. Other people do. Your music is not superior to somebody else's. Just because you have to listen to certain music to fit in with someone doesn't mean your music is better. Rap isn't that bad. Sure there are a lot of shitty raps, but there are a lot of shitty songs from any genre of music.
