Most of the minibuses in Africa are shipped over from Asia once the Asians are done with them. Thus, it isn't uncommon to see Chinese charactars on the side of your taxi. Only in Kampala, though, have the minibus taxis appropriated the Boston Public Transit "T" Logo.
