CONSTITUATION
Introduction:
The UFHL is a fantasy hockey league that uses Faceoff as a simulator. This leagues intent is to be a fun league, but still competitive enough so people stay interested.
Commisioner:
A. The commisioner may make any changes which he feels benefcial and necessary to the leagues successful operation. If highly critized league members and GM's will vote on the change in operation.
Schedule:
A. Each team will play 82 games (41 home, 41 road)
B. Each team will play 8 games against teams in their divison (32 games), 6 games against teams in the other division of their own conference (30 games), and each team will play 2 games against teams in teh other conference (20 games). 32 divisional games + 30 conference games + 20 opposite conference games = 82 games.
C. The seasons will be divided into quarters, or play periods.
Rosters:
A. Before the start of each season, every teams roster must be cut down to 32 players.
B. Each team must carry a minimum of 2 goalies and a max of 4 goalies.
C. Each team must have a minimum at each position, 12 forwards and 6 defense men.
Player Usage:
A. Any non-rookie forward who played over 10 games in the NHL, can play any amount of regular season or playoff games.
B. Rookies skaters who played over 15 games are able to play any amount of regular season or playoff games. Rookie skaters who played less than 15 games will not be able to be drafted. Rookie Goalies who played 5 NHL games are eligable to get drafted, any less than 5 then there are not able to be drafted. The goalie usuage rule aplies to the rookie goalies.
C. Forwards must play the position they are rated for in 5 on 5 only and in the other times they can play out of postion but will suffer rating losses.
D. Defense men can play ethier defensive position.
E. Goalies who played between 1-29 games can only play how many games they played in real life and they can not start a playoff game. Goalies who played between 30-59 games can play 60 regular season game and can start an unlimited amount of playoff games. Goalies who played from 60-82 games in real life can start 72 regular season games and can play any amount of games in the playoffs.
Method of Play:
A. Each weeks games will be played on every Saturday by the Commisioner or Vice-Commsioner. Teams will be required to submit new strats for their games preferably every week, if that can not be met than they must submit new starts no later than 2 weeks after the last starts where sent in. Strats should be sent to <[email protected]>.
Inagural Draft:
A. To get the UFHL league under way, we are required to do an ingural draft. In the first round of the draft will be the team roster selction round, where each GM will have to pick from a roster below (they can change the team roster after the draft has been complete), then from the chosen roster they must select 15 skaters and 1 goalie. The skaters can be in any arangement of forwards and defense men, but they can only select ONE goalie. Then from the left over players and the players on the teams that where not able to be chosen will go into a 16 round draft.
