Competition Details-

The competition will be run over three days, and will comprise 8 rounds:
Friday 18th April 3 Rounds
Saturday 19th April 3 Rounds
Sunday 20th April 2 Rounds

Scenarios from the rule-book will be used and there will be a few others thrown in. Armies are to be no more than 2000 points, and back of the book armies and special characters cannot be used.

The following categories will be used to determine the National Champion.
Generalship 53.33%    160
Sportsmanship 30%     90
Painting  13.33%        40
Army List   3.33%       10

Each of the Categories will be scored as per the following:
Generalship:
The 3000 point Victory points chart and conditions (p.198) will be used with the following points awarded:
Winner/Loser
Draw: 10/10
Minor Victory: 13/7
Solid Victory: 17/3
Massacre: 20/0

160 points will be the maximum Generalship points.

Sportsmanship:
In each game you will award each opponent 1-5 points for Sportmanship as per the chart which will be handed out on day1.
You will also aware each opponent 1-5 points for style of play, army theme & composition.
In addition after round 8 you will vote for your most sporting opponent, the 5 players with the most points will be awarded the following:
Most votes 10
2nd most  5
3rd most  4
4th most  3
5th most  2
In  the event that two or more people are tied they will add the points together and divide them equally. (i.e. two people get most sporting they will divide 15 points and get 7.5 each).

90 points will be the maximum for Sportsmanship points.

Painting:
Each player will be judged over the tournament by the umpire, who will award points according to the following:
Has the player put an honest effort into painting the army?   5 points
Is every model in the army fully painted with at least 3 colours?   5 points
Is every model based appropriately in a pleasing fashion (painted, flocked etc..)? 5 points
Has highlighting and shading been used throughout the entire army?  5 points
Does the army look cohesive? i.e, consistent colour scheme, unit markings etc..? 5 points
Have any conversions been used in the army and if so, do they look appropriate? 5 points

Additionally during the tournament each player will asked to choose which they think the best painted army from all WHFB participants is, the ones with the most votes will be awarded bonus points as per the following:
Most votes 10
2nd most  5
3rd most  4
4th most  3
5th most  2

40 points will be the maximum of Painting points.

Army Lists:
10 Points will be awarded if all of the following is met:
Army List in by 11th April
No mistakes in Army List
Army List is well presented, ie readable, well set out etc…
Armies must be in word, excel format or normal email.

10 points will be the maximum for Army List points.

Terrain:
People are required to bring their own terrain, terrain will be set up as per follows:
6 X4 table split into six sections of 2x2 (three each on opposite sides), tables in rulebook then used to generate terrain as per race. Nominate which section and place according to a random role in that section, players alternately place.

Rule Books:
The latest edition of any Official GW Army List published up to 1 March 2003 can be used. The same applies to the latest rulings in GW Chronicles or White Dwarf.
