Rules:  “in the grande manner”
Although these rules are relatively unknown they are an easy set to pick up.
Quick reference sheets will be provided as with order counters and casualty markers

Points ; 1500 points preferably to an order of battle or contact the umpire with a reasonable list. army points lists are available from the umpire

Troop availability : since these rules are based on a 1 to 20  figure ratio not many armies will be compatible, rebasing is an option, but for those who do not desire this an array of troops will be available for use. please contact the umpire for troop availability, first come first choice.

Players to provide their own terrain items and base cloth, plus dice (d6 & d10) and tape measures etc

Out of the 2000 points listing you have provided, the initial game shall be 1500 points, the removal of 250 points worth shall be random the other 250 points to be at the players discretion. The game will have objectives such as hills, villages etc with victory points accordingly. All losses and casualties will carry over into the next games although routers and retreats will be regained. Victory conditions will not be rated on casualties inflicted or recieved. The pool of reserves will be available for the subsequent battles, the quantity of reserves will depend on the perfomance in the previous battle, i.e. a winner is entitled to 150 points of reserves, a draw entitles you to 100 points and a loss to 50 points. Hopefully this will introduce another dimension into the game structure. To go full out might give a victory, but at a loss of vital reserves and a degree of caution will be evident as players try to inflict the casualties as well as obtain the objectives, without depleting their own force. Once the force pool of reserves has run out, that is it, no more available. This will mean a commander who constantly wins will eventually run out of troops long before a person who looses. This may sound unfair but no-one likes to lose and a good commander will deploy his toops and fight his battles with tomorrow in mind. Supplies will not be effected regardless of outcomes. Moral ratings of units will not be effected regardless of attrition, except, where units are combined to create a composite unit, in this case a medium between the two classes will occur i.e. first class combined with militia will become 2nd class etc. If no medium is possable the unit will become rated at its lower class i.e. 1st class with 2nd class will become 2nd class. The creation of composite units will be at the players discretion if you only want 3 coys of elite then fine. Captured equipment will not be available for use, these will simply come under casualties. The competition will other wise be based on the win, lose, draw system with a simple score system used to establish the overall winner etc.
