That's right, I said DUGONG!!! She's a real beauty and extremely cute. But also very shy. So the first time I was in the water with her, she whisked into a corner with only her tail fin sticking out. And she refused to come out. So there I was kneeling at the bottom of the enclosure, freezing to death for 2 & 1/2 hours, waiting for her to overcome her shyness.
Of course it was worth it in the end......... I was allowed to pat her and play with her.
Most of the time, I take photographs of weddings and other special occasions, so this was really quite a thrill to me...... I mean a Dugong isn't a creature you get to see everyday!
