"This was actually incredibly
funny, especially after I just spent the last half hour blinking
in horror at the other "writing" at FanFiction.net.
Please keep writing. You have the potential to be the last, best
hope for fanfiction.net! - Grace ()"
It's that bad nowadays?
*blinks* No, I know plenty of good authors on ff.n, really.
"hahaha. Have you seen all of
those in actual fics? If you did, I think you're reading a few
too many NC-17. If you just made them up, then good job, your
mind's as sick as mine is. And I'm still laughing about Dudlely
in the leather thong. - twitteringpig, who is too lazy to sign
in. ([email protected])"
Well, I'm 17, I'm allowed to
read NC-17... okay, so I read those kind of fics before I turned
17, but anyway... Yeah, I have read most of them. Like
about 95% of them. What do you do when you are in desperate need
of the next HP book and it's over a year left? You read
fanfiction...
"It's true that a lot of that
happens in the fanfic world. But what I don't understand is why
are you flaming everyone with the "rape is bad",
especally when it's obvious that YOU've read several NC17 fics to
come to this conclusion. If you don't like it, (nither do I) then
don't read. - Indiana jones ()"
I didn't flame all rape fics.
I said that rape is a horrible thing. You should
talk about it, you should remember that it
exists, but you shouldn't take it lightly. I
read rape fics, and other, because they make me feel. That is the
point of writing, to make people feel something.
I have read a couple of really good rape fics, that I recommend
(Filios by Keieru, The Sickness by Ailei, Corpus Delecti by
Khirsah, to name a few), but I hate it when people ignore how
deeply an action like rape affects both victim and rapist. I hate
when the author seems to believe that being raped is something
the victim can just shake off in a matter of days. I can't stand
it when the author doesn't take the affects seriously. Only then.
Um... and when Snape's the rapist. I hate that... but that's
because of the way I look at him and believe him to be, now, I'm
sure he was capable of it when he was a DE.
"I loved it, in fact it was
true, I do find Snape/Dubledore a turn-on. And I think when 2
guys do get wild it is really hot. This is sooooooo going on my
favorites - Vlawn~ Lordess of Magic~ (Signed Review)"
I like the idea of two guys
too (people, stop staring at me, you know I'm a slashaholic), but
Dumbledore is 150! Snape is 35! There are limits, and they should
be drawn when the age difference is around 100! I don't know. The
thought of Dumbledore having a sexlife at all makes me a bit
nervous...
"Where did you find all this
out by reading the fics? Well, I'm not going to spaz out because
of it, but I just wanted to know where these thought came across
your mind came from? How did you learn these AND WHAT KIND OF
FIC'S DID YOU READ TO FIGURE THIS ONE OUT?! - Leo (Signed
Review)"
Ummm... everything from G to
NC-17, all genres, from all kind of authors, from different
places on the net. I read fics when I have nothing better to do,
and since I'm lacking things to do a lot...
"*amused* This is soo true.
Of course, this makes it hard to write an HP fic now without one
cliche...I'm scared. *snickers* Anyhoo, will go. Ja! - Missa
Jakuson (Signed Review)"
It's easier than you think,
all you really have to do is keep the characters from the extreme
and balance them somewhere in the middle. Or keep them in
character if you are not looking to explore them further... :)
"uhhuh. Yep. Actually, I have
read teenage pregnancies, and many stories that u say are
nonexistant. Try actually reading the whole section. - Soror
Caelum (Signed Review)"
You mean you have read ALL
thousand upon thousand fics here? And I thought I had no life. If
you, however, would mind guiding me to these fics, preferably the
well written ones, I would be happy to read them.
"You do bring up a lot of
good points. Mainly the superficial Cho one, I can't understand
why everyone hates her for not using Harry. I've also pondered
how Hagrid could ever have a relationship with a human woman.
Although I wonder how he could be half giant in the first place,
I hope his parents had a really good shrinking spell. - TicTac
()"
Well, since his dad was the
human I don't think there was that much of a trouble. The
giantess might even have had an easy birth :)
"Yah, we could spell out the
words, but why? Internet shorthand is very useful, especially to
those of us who can't spell worth a crap. Anyway, good fic! D/H
RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweet Like A Chica Cherry Cola - Antares
Altair ()"
In chatrooms it's acceptable
to short down words, but not when you are writing a story. It
just makes it hard to read and confusing, plus it looks horrible.
There's always spellcheck.
