Heyas everyone! Welcome to the great debate section of my Nasuti shrine. When RW/YST was first introduced, Nasuti/Mia was the only girl on the scene before Kayura showed up. Wow...A 9+ males and only two females. Why not us? Okay, okay, I'm just kidding with you all there...Anyways, let's go on. When the show first came one, she was immediately dubbed as one of the most hated female canon characters in all of American Anime history. There are many different reasons and some were quite silly. Basically, not many liked her because she played the female role and she was in the company of all those men. I like her and I'm here to warn you that these are my opinions and not to be taken so seriously that you decide to dedicate a whole page on your website (where you probably spent well over half on hour writing a novel and calling me names) about this. This is my opinions and I am not forcing them upon you. You are reading these at your own will. If you don't like it, fine. We all have our opinions right? If you want, please send me flames. I will be more then glad to post them up on this website for all to see. However, if you would like to send me a well-written and very thought out e-mail, I would love to read it and post it up on this website. Again...for the third time, these are my opinions and they are not to be taken to the heart. If you do not like Mia/Nasuti, I suggest you click the 'back' browser now. That sad, I hope you have taken into consideration everything that I have said. (I love flames, comments, criticisms, agreements, whatever. If you want to say something, send it here. Also, please don't steal my graphics. Remember, hell hath no fury like a women scorned.) With that said, onto the debate. Fashion One of the most controversial topic on hand that Anti-Nasuti/Mia people give is her clothing. Now, I admit that her clothing may not be top of the line. However, we must take into consideration the time that this show was created in. It was created back in April 30th, 1988 and then ran until March 4th, 1989. Don't give me all that stuff about how her style of fashion was different then the late eighties fashion because you don't know that. Unless you have lived in Japan during that time and was actually old enough to understand why people wore what they wore, then don't say anything. You can have an opinion however, it is right if you have facts to back it up. Your prerogative is your opinion and if you don't like her clothes, then that's fine. I don't mind it at all...at least she wasn't prancing around naked. That would've given the antis more reason to bash her so it's definitely good. ^_^;; Besides, I wouldn't be here if she pranced around the screen naked...gah! We got totally off subject...anyways. Everyone's sense of fashion is different. Outside appearances, really should matter. However, we as humans, are very vain and we all tend to look on the outside appearance rather then inside. Changing Of Clothes Okay, I tried finding the website that was an Anti-Mia shrine but it doesn't seem to exist anymore. I do remember that one of the things that was said about her was that she doesn't seem to change her clothing at all. There are many key factors we should take into consideration before agreeing with this statement. First of all...the dynasty attacked. If the Earth was getting attacked and people left and right were being taken as prisoners...would you actually think about changing instead of surviving? I don't think so. Of course, personal hygeine is important but *come* on guys, I'm trying to make a point here. Stick with me please...^_^;; Second, it's an anime. Have you ever seen an anime character change their clothing? Okay you have, but everyday? I think not. Besides, Mia/Nasuti had a wonderful assortment of clothing from the ski outfit she had on when she went to the mountain with Seiji/Sage or her movie clothing. I personally liked her marroon bathing suit. ^_^ Living Situations Well, this is another one of those questions. I believe people may think of her as a slut because she lives with five guys and it's never insinuated that she would be involved in any sexual congress with any of them however, there are those who like to think so and praise her for it...then there are those who use it to their advantage to put her down. I believe that there's probably nothing such as fornication going on however, there might be. You never know...and since you never know, we really don't have a case for those now do we? ^_^;; So I'm going to back off from this one...It does give a very nice story setting does it not? Heh... She lives in a house with five guys and you're telling me it never occurred to you that she's RIDING LIKE A HORSE?? Actually, the original phrase had much more spelling mistakes. I had to correct it for the sake of this site. (Don't tell me you expected me to show off someone's bad spelling and grammar skills?) She could be having sex with them but *come* on people. BE realistic. If she was having sex with all of them, she definitely wouldn't have acted the way she did in the show. We definitely would've seen more 'mushy' parts between her interaction with the guys. However, we did not. Hell, most of us write Mia/Ronin fanfics on assumptions we make from her interactions with the guys. Also, when a show is created, if there is romance, it is sure to be the center of the show. If it isn't the center of the show, then it's sure to be a large part of the show. I for one, have seen the show everytime Toonami replayed it. The show reveals absolutely *nothing* about her romance interests or their romance interests. If she were to act like a prostitute, then she would have also dressed *much* more differently. She wouldn't be wearing a large pink sweatshirt with a shirt underneath. She probably wouldn't have worn those long stockings with shorts or little platform shoes. Then again, a prostitute doesn't have to dress like a slut to be a prostitute. Another defense I'm going to use is that...do you actually think so low of the Ronins? Do you think they'd let someone treat them all like that? Use them for sex and then throw them aside for the next big thing? No. Mia and the Ronins have too much pride to do that to each other. Mia was willing to give up her life for the Ronins so many times. Remember when she and Sage went to find Kento but they were trapped by one of the warlords? Both of them jumped off the falls and landed in a cave. I can't remember the details but to get to the point, Mia was captured by the warlord and she was hanging in the middle of the waterfall. People, that's gotta be a few hundred TONS falling on her back. Try spraying yourself in the winter with water coming out at a fast speed. The author of the Anti-Mia statement sure as hell was confident that she was right. I'm saying she could be having sex with the guys...but it is NOT likely. We definitely would've seen evidence of it in the show. When Anubis was an Ancient, she got to spend a lot of time with him. [And I didn't.] ::facepalms:: Everytime I read this...I lose a few thousand brain cells. I can feel them dying off and that fact is sad alone, because your brain doesn't have a central nervous system. >_< Now, I don't think there's a defense I can come up with this except that first of all...they are cartoon. We are human. Actual humans. If you aren't getting the picture, then I can't help you. Now, for her spending a lot of time with him...*he* spent a lot of time with her. He was at her house so if he didn't want to be, he could've left. Also, Mia would've tried to go after the Ronin guys even if Anubis wasn't there to help. She knows how important they are to the world. She enjoys the company of an annoying kid and goes out of her way just to be with him. ô_o What crack were you smoking? Where does it say that she goes out of her way just to hang out with Yuli? First of all...what *normal* and *compassionate* human being would throw aside a *little* kid and tell them to go away? The fact that Mia devoted her time to taking care of Yuli and the Ronins speaks enough for itself. Now you come along and say that she goes out of her way just to hang out with Yuli. Maybe she does but I think it has more to do with wanting to protect Yuli rather then going out of her way to protect the little schmuck. Pedophilliac!! *How* so? >_< A pedophilliac is when you are aroused by a little kid. Mia never showed any romantic interests in Yuli. Just watch the show and there's your proof. Her hair is always perfect when she's attacked. [And mine isn't.] Neither is mine but I'm not moaning and groping about it. Besides, it's an unwritten rule that all Anime characters must have perfect hair. Look at Sage/Seiji...it resists gravity! (Everyone, "oh" and "ah".) She is broad-chested. [::looks down at herself and then at a picture of Mia:: DAMN YOU!] So what if she has bigger breasts than most females? If she wasn't, I guarantee you'd make fun of the fact that her chest isn't big. On another note, I didn't really wonder about how big Mia's/Nasuti's chest was until you brought it up. @_@ She dresses like she belongs to a beserk house. [The tights.] By 'beserk house', do you mean asylum? And what do wearing tights have anything with the mental stability [or instability] of a person? Her clothes do need work but they don't exactly scream "I'm insane!". No one can fucking kill her. No, but they did come close. The Ronins probably knew how important she was to them and the fact that she was an innocent is why they always protected her. They may have had feelings for her also so that might add to it. Then another thing is that she was their pillar. She helped them find the other Ronins when they needed help, she calmed Ryo down when he needed to be calmed down, she drew Sage out of his shell when he needed to be drawn out, she knew how to deal with Rowan's stubborness when she needed to, she gave Sai confidence when he needed it, and she helped Kento figure out things without insulting his intelligence. The Ronins always protected her which is why she never got killed and then when they weren't there, she had White Blaze to protect her. The Ancient's Staff and the Jewel of Life protected her and Yuli when they needed protection. She's much too significant to the show to die. Anubis impaled 14 people for her and he didn't for me! ::twitches:: Okay, I really didn't keep track but, whatever. Anubis gave Mia the Jewel Of Life and he didn't give one to me! [I will make sure you die slowly!] Anubis can't give anyone the Jewel Of Life. The Jewel of Life is its own entity. Nobody can chose who to give it to but the Jewel of Life itself. Anubis impaled people FOR her rather than HER! Why would he impale her in the first place? She degrades brunettes as a whole. ::looks down at her own locks and is reminded of joke:: What do you call a blonde with a brain transplant? Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck that was lame anyways... Well. I would've thought she was one of the FEW [but not the last] brunettes to make brunettes *look* good. She used her brains instead of her beauty to help the Ronins. She is easy................to get along with. [PUN INTENDED.] And you would know...how? Have you had personal experiences? Eewww...don't tell us about your sexual fantasies. Her last name is Koji and you have to spit it just to say it right. You're saying it wrong then. That or you have some kind of speaking deficiency. She is the only one that can drive. That's kind of weird. Not really. It's concluded that she got her license before she came to Japan where the legal driving age was 16. In Japan, the legal driving age is 18. Yes, she probably was driving illegally but I don't see how that can be held against her. Someone else who was driving illegally was Sage/Seiji. The Ronin's drage her everywhere, even though she gets in the way, and winds up getting captured, allowing the baddies to use her against them. First of all, if they didn't 'drag her everywhere', they'd be blind as bats. She knew more about them then they knew of each other and she knew more about the Dynasty then they did. She doesn't get in the way; in fact, she tries her darndest to stay out of the way but things don't always work out. "The best laid plans of men and mice often go awry." She's got a big butt, and she gets away with it. Why do you notice these things? First her breasts then her butt...Oi. -_- None of them work, how do you think they get the money to feed Kento? Can we say prostitute? The person definitely should've done her research. If she did, then she would've known that Mia and Grandfather Koji were very rich and well off. Her nice jeep and the large house in the woods speaks for themselves. Back then [and even now], only the ones who could afford to live in the mountains, lived there. Her house shouldn't be called a house either...more like mansion. And yes. She *did* have a job as an assistant. That plus her fortune that she has [and the money that went to her after her Grandfather died] definitely would've provided them without them having to lift a single finger. Besides, Kento doesn't eat as much as everyone thinks he does (I mean he does eat a lot but he's no glutton). It's a commonly mistaken stereotype.
