Favorite Opening Theme

1. Kikoutei Densetsu: This has the most beautiful animation in the entire YST series. I love the part where the Troopers are running alongside the cherry blossom petals. It features scenes of the Troopers summoning their armors and a battle between Mukara and Ryo wearing Shiroi Kikoutei. I enjoyed the scene of Naria walking over and when she turns to her side, her hair flows in the wind; images of the four Troopers go by her one by one.

2. 1st season: The animation is pretty good, granted it was the first season of YST. I enjoyed the scenes of the Troopers fighting against the Masho. The part where Rekka no Ryo is fighting through a group of youja soldiers with tears in his eyes was touching. My favorite part of it is the ending where Ryo drops Rekka Ken and he turns to see the Troopers, Nasty, and Jun smiling at him.

3. 2nd season: Eh, it's okay I guess. I do like how they feature each of the Troopers in their own environment (Seiji in the forest, Shu in the desert, Shin in the water, etc.) The part where the Troopers take off their helmets and throw them in the air is pretty cool too.

I'm not too fond of how Sunrise tends to "recycle" images from the OT and ET (ending themes) and use them in the TV series. One of the reasons that Kikoutei Densetsu is my favorite is because of the new animation. Well, except for the parts of the Troopers changing into their armors and a view of Naria's eyes but everything else is new!

Favorite Ending Theme

1. Message: You're probably thinking: "Wait a minute you freak! The Troopers aren't even IN this ending!" But *I* happen to like the ending. I love how "Tsukamaeteite" plays as the credits roll through out the ending. It's a beautiful song and I love the images of Suzunagi's life before her untimely death.

2. 2nd season: One of my favorite YST songs plays through the ending theme, "Be Free." It shows Ryo dressed in a suit and going up in a glass elevator. While on the elevator ride he sees something outside and he smiles as he sees his friends riding in a balloon, all of them dressed up for his party. It is very sweet in my opinion.
