First heard on the critically acclaimed Double Life 12" single "Revolutions" (b/w "No Limitations and Regimens'") along side L*Roneous da' versifier this record made noise on the college radio charts (CMJ), and received numerous write-ups (Urb, Hip Hop Connection, etc..,). It didn't take long for the classic Street Reporters EP "America Undercover" to follow. With production by Paul Nice and an amazing reign on the charts of mp3, com, the Street Reporters received a lot of press. Gennessee's next release, "Definition of Nice", featured him with AG (DITC; Showbiz and AG), and Dj Babu (World Famous Beat Junkies) got continuous spins on the Wake Up Show, received a positive review in Vibe Magazine (March 2000 Issue), and was added to the play list of hundreds of mix-tapes worldwide. The single "So Now U A MC" followed. The song, featuring Gennessee trading verses with legendary Juice Crew member Masta Ace (produced by Paul Nice and The Creators), was released internationally on the Bad Magic label and further stretched the fan base of a man who tours in Europe one month of every year. The stage is set, Gennessee is ready. Gennessee has taken all of the necessary steps to secure a spot for himself in the world. Being one of the most sought after producers in The Bay Area, he has produced tracks for Too $hort, Mac Dre, Yukmouth, The Delinquents, The Federation, Messy Marv, The T.E.A.M., Turf Talk, Mistah F.A.B., Chino XL, San Quinn,Frank B(Missy Elliot Show) Mob Figaz, Charlie Hustle, Dubee, Vital, Prozack (Foreign Legion, Dreamworks), L*Roneous, Cozmo, Tha Riddla, and Chemistry, and has selected a crew of young talented musicians to form the Noble House.
