Interview with  Elle Renne

Nassoro: What/who inspired you to be a model?

Ellen Renee: When I was 17, I took a friend to a casting/open call for models.  I was waiting in the back of the room and the scouts came up to me and told me that I was what they were looking for. Until that point I was interested in sports and rough stuff... I was a major tomboy growing up... (Two older brothers). I looked at myself in a different light after that and I went to a modeling convention.  At 17, I wasn’t a woman of a little girl so I was still finding my groove. After the Navy and the end of my marriage, I moved to south Florida and I always remembered the modeling so I persuade it.

Nassoro: How did you become a model, as a model do you think it is harder to be a model and trying to break into the industry?

Elle Renee:  By the grace of God I became a model by not accepting the turn downs and the no nos. I searched and never gave up. Every career you choose has a period in which you have to pay your dues.  It took years to get to the point where I am now and I still am not where I ultimately want to be.

Nassoro: How long have you been model for and what magazines/medium do you model for?

Elle Renee: I’ve been modeling for 3 years. I’ve been in Black means magazine in 2003.  I’ve done a lot of promotion work in Miami... I then started becoming my own agent and I started sending myself out to castings for commercials and print work. I found my own photographer and we published a calendar starring me for 2006.  I also did a TV pilot for Spike T.V. with Tony Little the fitness guy, and a commercial for his new energy drink called HYPERACTIV.  Friday the 21st of October I am going to be the lead ring girl in the Pay per View fight world wide televised.

Nassoro: What would you tell other inspiring model and what is the hardest thing about being a model?

Elle Renee: not taking any serious. Everyone is looking for something specific, so if someone said no then there is someone who will say yes. Be confidant, not arrogant. You will never get anywhere with that attitude. Believe in yourself. You have to believe in yourself wholeheartedly before someone else can. Love yourself. How can someone love you if you don’t love yourself? The hardest thing is to be able to do all those things and keep your head up.

Nassoro: what does modeling mean to you and if you had to define modeling, how would you define?

Elle Renee: Modeling to me is an avenue for more. I feel like a Female Jamie Foxx... If he was a woman I bet he would model too. I have a lot to give the world and I am using modeling as a stepping stone to get there. I am a total entertainer. My music career is important to me and it also is a stepping stone. My ultimate goal is to have my own TV show.

Nassoro: What is your philosophy behind modeling and what is your general philosophy in life?

Elle Renee: All things are possible through the grace of God. If you ask in the name of Jesus and believe that it is done, then it is so. Modeling is for strong willed people who are willing to work hard and be more than just a pretty face. To endure the trials of the "paying dues" process. Always try to reach for the moon and you just may end up in the stars.
