1. Don't even bother applying if you don't intend to be active. You don't have to be in chat every second of the day or be turning out a story a month, but you should come chat sometimes or write occasional stories, preferably both.
2. Make sure to write a good profile. This means good spelling and grammar as well as good content. If your profile has bad grammar and spelling, you will not be accepted. For your information, dialogue shouldn't be in quotes, and actions should be enclosed in asterisks (ex. *action*). Your profile doesn't have to be a masterpiece, but try to give us a good idea of what your character is like. If you're not accepted, you will have up to two chances to rewrite your profile and apply again, but it'll be easier for you to just do a good job the first time.
3. Be nice and respectful of everybody else in the house. You don't have to like everyone, but at least try and pretend to (but hopefully you won't have to do that).
If we haven't scared you away (which shouldn't have happened; those aren't that bad), go and apply.
