Most allergies involve abnormal and symptom-producing reactions of the immume system. We all know what it feels like to have some sort of allergy. Some of us even more then others. Everyone in the world has allergies, and some people don't even know they do. Nothing seems to bother them. They are the lucky ones. Now, for the rest of us, lets talk about some allergies. Allergies can be as small as a nat bite that bump up all the way to difficulty in breathing to death, caused by a wasp bite or eating something. Some allergies we can not control, but some we can. If we try to control some of the allergies we can, then our bodies will control some througth our autoamune system. Some of the allergies we just normally can not control. The diet of both humans and our pets play a bigger role in our allergy problem then you can ever imagine. Environmental allergens are the ones we can not control. They range from pollens to insect bites. |

Your pets can be allergic to alot more food products then what are named above. It is also not uncommon to become allergic to a product after being exposed to it over a period of time. Here is a very old saying I'm sure you have heard before, "YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT" this holds true for both you and your pets. Would you eat or feed your children any products or chemicals that are not 100% safe? SEE INGREDIENTS PAGE Even food products and ingredients that you feel, or were told are safe could be causing a allergy problem with you or your pets. Heres one: YEAST. There is a common misconception to supplementing cats and dogs with brewer's yeast, thinking it will protect them from fleas. There is NO scientific proof that it even helps with the fight against fleas. What it will offen do however, is cause skin allergies. When we talk about pet food ingredients, the word by-product is almost always present. Most processed foods, even some of the so called premium foods contain by-products. What are by-products, Read the next page on pet food ingredients. |

If you have taken your pet to the veterinarian's office serveral times for the same symptoms like, itching; chewing; licking; body odor; ear problems or other health problems, they normally give your pet a shot and/or pills. Do the symptoms appear to go away for awhile, but seem to come back after the medication has been completed or discontinued? Then the cause could very well be a food allergy. Don't bother trying to talk to most vets about this problem. WHY - YOU ASK? Most vets get about fifteen hours of small animal nutritional education in vet school. Pet food manufactures pay the schools to allow their technicians to teach the vets about pet nutrition and what do you think they are going to teach them. Exactly what the pet food company wants to teach them! |
