Explanation of Initial Assignment
All students in 7E completed the following assignment. The students who excelled with this assignment and who demonstrated positive behaviour during classes were asked to prepare and present a play based on one of their legends. They also were asked to participate in the development of this webpage as an enrichment project.
Antarctica Project

Your task is to create a legend about Antarctica. This must include the Great Spirit of Antarctica and one or more of the creatures that presently live there today. In your legend you need to draw the reader''s attention to the unique environment there. This would mean mention of such things as ice, high winds, cold water, frigid temperatures, snow all year round and the barren landscape. You may wish to explain why there are no Native people living there today.
The legend should include similes, metaphors, personification and descriptive words. Proper grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation are expected.
In addition to the legend, you are to construct a colorful title page.
