Alpha Delta Pi holds the distinction of being the first secret society in the world for college women.  We were founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, GA.  The original name of the sorority was the "Adelphean Society".  The word "Adelphean" is derived from the Greek word meaning sister.

Alpha Delta Pi membership is a lifetime experience, and with that comes the assurance that where ever you go you will find a Sister to share life's experiences.  This is why we say ... "Not just four years, but a lifetime."

Our mission statement ... Alpha Delta Pi is a way of life.  Our commitment to values and ethics, high academic standards and social responsibility creates an environment which encourages our members to work toward common goals, to assume leadership roles and to enjoy the benefits of lifetime commitment.

Alumnae associations provide the opportunity for alumnae to continue their association with other sisters after college though an organized group.  Associations are chartered in cities and communities throughout the Unied States and Canada.  Alumnae Associations provide educational programs and entertaining events for their members.  They also sponsor service projects and often work closely with nearby collegiate chapters.

Our Nashville Alumnae Association was chartered in 1952.  We have members from all over Middle Tennesse.  We hold monthly meetings from September through May.  If you are an ADPi alumnae in the Nashville area we would love to hear from you.  There are lots of ways to get involved ... check out our calendar of events!
