E-Mail Cassandra and Jessy!
Welcome to my homepage.  Right now this is all experimental so if you really would like to know more about Cassy and I, I would suggest visting The North American Spotted Draft Horse Homepage
If you scroll down to NASDHA's youth group you will find more information about the breed, Cassy, other youth, and how to get involved!
Take Me Higher which is Cassy's registered name has proven to be true in more than one occasion.  Cassandra and I represent the Spotted Draft Assoc. for the youth.  Not only do we represent it but we started the movement summer 2001.  We are still in the process of getting more members so please if you do have any interest in finding out more information on the breed e-mail me and get involved.  I use Cassandra for many things even though she is only a yearling.  Cassy gives riding lessons, pulls a cart, pulls logs, gives pony rides, is used for showing, and loves to trail ride.  NASDHA has a quarterly magazine called the Spotlight that Cassy and I feature a youth column in either written by myself or something a fellow youth draft lover has written about there draft experiences.  Whether you are a spot owner or not you are welcome in our club.  The only requirements are that you love drafts, and you are a youth!
Please understand we are still very much under construction!

Update: Cassy will be three years old Jan 1st along with every other horse in the United States!  This is nothing special, but what is unique about this whole situation is Cassy will be turning three standing 16.0 hands tall!  She is so beautiful to watch gallop out in the field next to her best friend and stall mate, a 34 inch tall miniature mule.  Cassy takes 1/2 as many strides to reach her destination as her 14.3 hand buddy Shadow (AQHA) does.  Her tail drags the ground and her mane flows over her shoulders.  Not to mention you could carpet our entire house with her winter coat.  I had to splurge and buy her a real tailbag this winter since my little hand sewn ones just were not holding up any longer.  Cassy is still the laziest horse in the state of Michigan as she has decided lifting her tail any higher than absolutely nessecary is a waist of energy!  Her tailbag is soiled beyond repair but at least this year her tail won't be a poopsicle!
