It was Gohan's turn to check in on Katsumi. She hasn't been back to work since Roy's death. Gohan thought that it would be a good idea to stop and get some food before checking on Katsumi. He knows how much she likes Chinese food, so he stopped at one of her favorite restaurants. Having gotten supper for the night, Gohan rushed off to Katsumi's apartment. This was to prevent the food from getting cold. Before he could knock on the door, Katsumi said, �It�s unlocked Gohan. I see you've got some food with you. Don't just stand there, the food will get cold.� Puzzled by what had just happened, he opened the door.
�Hi, Katsumi,� said Gohan, �how did you know I was here and had brought food?� Katsumi chuckling, replied, �I saw you as you walked up the sidewalk.� Feeling a little embarrassed, Gohan said, �I guess that makes sence.� Then he gave Katsumi her portion of the food and then he sat down across from her. Not saying much, Katsumi was enjoying her food, but she had a sad expression on he face, Gohan asked, �What's wrong? You haven't said three words since I sat down.� Katsumi sadly said, �I'm sorry. Lately I've been thinking about Roy.� Taking a drink of soda, Gohan looked at Katsumi and replied, �I can understand what you are going through. Roy was my best friend and was a great partner.� Seeming to have been cheered up a bit, Katsumi smiled and said, �Gohan, thank you. You two were more like brothers than friends.� As Katsumi was talking, Gohan was smiling and agreed about them being like brothers, his pager started going off. Gohan grabbed his pager and saw that it was work. Wondering what he was needed for, Gohan asked, �Can I use your phone? I need to see what they need back at the precinct.� Katsumi told Gohan to use her cell phone. Gohan went into the next room and called the precinct.
After calling, Gohan went back and told Katsumi that he had to leave but would be back after he was done. Wondering why he was in such a hurry, Katsumi asked, �You seem worried. What was the call about?� Knowing how Katsumi is concerning the Lucifer Hawk, Gohan said, �I will only tell you if you promise me you will stay here.� Katsumi agreed but appeared that she was not being truthfully, Gohan said, �There has been a sighting of a class three in downtown.� Katsumi exclaimed, �Are you crazy! You can't do this on your own!� Gohan halfway expecting that answer, He told her about his secrete. Gohan is also part Lucifer Hawk like Katsumi and Rally. Katsumi, with a surprised look on her face said, �Why didn't you tell me sooner.� Gohan thought for awhile and simply replied, �I didn't want you to think I was going to get you to open Nemesis. You see that Ganossa is, um well my brother. He is pure Lucifer Hawk where my mother was the human part of the equation.� Katsumi looked and Gohan with a puzzled look on her face and asked, �If he is your brother can you really kill him? I know it is hard to kill your own kind, but your own flesh and blood.� Gohan understood what she was getting at but he couldn't answer her with an honest answer. He simply said, �The brother I once loved and admired is no longer here. Ganossa might be my brother by blood but he no longer loves the earth. He just wants to merge both planets creating a true hell on earth.� Gohan took Katsumi's hand and asked her to stay here until he came back. Katsumi asked, �Gohan, why are you so concerned about me? I have never seen you this concerned before.� Gohan replied in a loving voice, �A week before Roy's death, he asked me to take care of you if anything was to happen to him. I just don't want to you to get hurt or even worse. I also couldn't live with myself if I couldn't protect you. I'd better be on my way.� Katsumi began to cry. Gohan stopped and turned around, looking into the eyes of Katsumi, and he said, �Don't cry. I guess it would be a big help if you came along. Plus we could help protect each other, ok.� Katsumi, wiping a tear from her face, started to smile and said, �Thank you Gohan. I promise I won't let you down. I'm glad that you were the one Roy wanted to protect me. Your secrete will be safe with me.� Gohan nodded and they left in Katsumi's car.
On the way to the scene of the Lucifer Hawk sighting, Katsumi and Gohan discussed what being part Lucifer Hawk has done to them mentally. Gohan said, �I don't consider myself a Lucifer Hawk. I am as much a human as the next guy. The only difference between the two is, the dark powers I have.� Katsumi shook her head in agreement. She seemed different, today was the first time she had smiled since Roy's death. It was a good sign because it showed she was starting to move on. Then suddenly, Katsumi asked, �Do you like Yuki?� Gohan slammed on the brakes and quickly looked at Katsumi and replied, �WHAT! Why are you asking me this? If you must know, I do but she is more like a sister.� Katsumi laughed and said, �Its ok. She likes you. You are all she takes about anymore. I think you two would make a good couple.� Gohan embarrassed and blushing, he said, �I guess you are right. I enjoy being around Yuki but with my secrete, I am afraid that I might cause her to get hurt.� Katsumi was puzzled but she also understood Gohan's situation. She said, �I believe that you can protect her, so why don't you ask Yuki out on a date.� Gohan started to think, he also began to drive again. He finely replied, �I have a great idea. I'm gonna ask if she wants to go to dinner after our shifts are done. I also would like you to come along to meet someone you already know.� Katsumi questioned Gohan's idea. She asked, �Someone I know?� What Katsumi didn't know was that Roy's personality and mind was transferred into a new advanced megadyne, called a third type, which is a cyborg body that is capable of a human feelings, emotions, and actions. Gohan has kept it secrete because Roy was the first to be used in the new megadyne and was not sure if it would be a success. Knowing she would not stop asking who it is, Gohan told her, �That person is Roy. I know it sounds strange, but they were able to transfer his mind into a new megadyne. The first time I was him I was shocked but also glad. The reason I waited to tell you is everyone wanted to make sure the transfer was a total success.� Shocked herself, Katsumi replied, �Why did they chose him for this experiment?� Gohan told her he had signed a waiver before his death that said they could use him in any experiment that could help improve the department. Katsumi shook her head as if she understood why and said, �We need to hurry. The battle might be out of hand for Nami, Kiddy, Yuki, Lum Chang, and Lebia.� Gohan replied, �You're right. Let's rock and roll.� Gohan slamed the car into high gear and pealed rubber as he accelerated.
As the car went around the next bend, Gohan and Katsumi could see the explosions from the battle. Gohan said, �Get ready, we are close to the battle field.� Katsumi nodded in agreement. Once the car stopped, Katsumi and Gohan jumped out of the car. Everyone was surprised to see Katsumi and said, �Great to see you back. Now lets send this demon to hell where it belongs.� Off in the distance Ganossa was watching. He didn't interfere with the battle but Ganossa relayed a mental message to the Lucifer Hawk to get the key. The Lucifer Hawk stated after Katsumi. Before it moved three feet, Gohan jumped in front of it and said, �There is no way that you are going to open Nemesis. Katsumi will never go down that path again. Now you are going to die.� Being an overachiever, Lum Chang was the one who tried to take on the Lucifer Hawk. She charged it and was struck hard getting knocked out early in the battle. Lum Chang was run to a local hospital to rest and recover. He looked over towards the others and said, �Quickly throw me the rail gun. I can handle him with one shot.� Lebia asked, �Are you sure you can handle the recoil?� Gohan nodded yes and she tossed him the rail gun. The Lucifer Hawk said, �I am going to kill everyone here then take Katsumi Liqueur.� Gohan said in a cocky tone, �Don't make me laugh. You're the one that�s going to die that you are.� Gohan stated to use his dark power, but he was doing it to where no one could tell. He pulled the trigger on the gun, firing a massive magnetic charge at the Lucifer Hawk. When it hit, the Lucifer Hawk was turned into a mound of gew. Everyone, especially Yuki, was happy that this battle was over. Gohan said, �Thanks, but you are the real heroes here. Anyway how�s Lum Chang?� Yuki said, �She received a slight cut on her right arm. She also sustained a minor concussion.� Gohan replied, �That�s good to know. She needs to try and be a team player. I have good news, I think Katsumi is ready to come back to the AMP, but I will leave that decision to Chief Mana.� Everyone smiled to that news. Gohan said, �I will come by the station to give my report. I will see all of you there ok.� Seeing that the AMP was getting stronger again, Ganossa left thinking, enjoy this victory now for it will be your last. Before leaving the battle field, Yuki pulled Gohan to the side to tell him that she was off shift now and was going to the coffee shop. Gohan told her that as soon as he gives his report, he will stop in to say hi.
Gohan and Katsumi stayed behind at the battle field. Katsumi asked, �Have all of the Lucifer Hawks been looking for me?� Gohan replied, �No. This was the first one that was after you. It seemed to know you were here. The only thing that I can figure out about it is Ganossa was near by and relayed a mental message to it.� Fearing that was the truth Gohan and Katsumi took off for the AMP headquarters. Gohan told Katsumi, �I am going to ask Mana and Rally if I can become the first male member of the AMP. I am tired of all the corruption in the Mobile Division 1. It will also give me more time around Yuki.� Katsumi laughed and said, �It's about time. You would be a great addition to the team. I will put in a good word for you.� Gohan was glad that he had someone supporting his choice. Gohan asked, �Do you want to go to the department to tell them you are ready to return?� Katsumi gave a firm yes. They soon arrived at the AMP headquarters. They were meet by Director Cheyenne and Chief Isozaki. Mana and Rally were glad to see Katsumi and said by Friday she can officially go back to work. Rally told Gohan, �Follow Chief Isozaki.� He followed her to the meeting room where he gave his report, �I arrived at the Liqueur residence a little after five pm. Shortly after I got page about a Lucifer Hawk sighting. I decided that Katsumi would be safer with me so I brought her along. Once at the battle field, the Lucifer Hawk focused on Katsumi. Lum Chang charged it only to be knocked out with a concussion. She is now resting in a nearby hospital. I then asked for someone to toss me a rail gun, which Lebia then threw to me. I secretly charged the weapons ammunition. When I fired it, the shell made direct contact, turning the Lucifer Hawk to a pile of gew.� Mana said, �Good report, but what do you mean by you powered up the ammunition.� Gohan said, �Please keep it a secrete, I am part Lucifer Hawk, my brother is Ganossa and my great-grandfather is the same as Katsumi's. That is why I volunteered to protect her.� Mana said, �I see. I overheard you telling Katsumi that you want to transfer to the AMP. With what you just told me, there will be no problem transferring. I suggest that you go talk to Rally now.� Gohan said, �Thank you, chief, you will not be sorry.�
Gohan started going toward Rally's office then remembers he doesn't know where it is. Gohan asked Kiddy, �Where is Rally's office?� Kiddy said, �What do you want with Rally?� Gohan told her about what he wants to do. Kiddy took him up to the floor where her office is and said, �Rally's office is room 123 and it has a nameplate on the outside of it.� Gohan thanked Kiddy for the assistance. He knocked on the door and Rally said, �Come in. I've been expecting you.� Katsumi was there when he opened the door. Gohan said, �I would like to transfer to the AMP. The Mobile Division has gotten to corrupt and I am ready for a change.� Rally said, �Katsumi told me that already. What I want to know is, are you really the younger brother of Ganossa?� Gohan shook his head yes. He hoped she wouldn't ask but Gohan was ready if she did. Rally continued, �I thought as much. I could tell from your eyes. I will accept your transfer to the AMP. I have something that will help you from now on.� Gohan told Katsumi, �Please go home, I might be her a while.� Katsumi agreed to go home. Rally had Gohan follow her to the weapon room. Gohan asked, �What is it you are going after?� Rally said, �It is the Mesume sword. It can be powered up by the user. Depending on how much energy is channeled into the blade, depends on how strong an attack can be inflicted. The only downside is the user is drained after each attack, but you can get to where you can strengthen your powers so you aren�t drained as much. You can also summon the sword no matter where you are.� Gohan said, �Thank you. I will use this to prevent Ganossa from merging the two worlds.� Rally told Gohan that he starts at the AMP Monday, so he should get as much rest a possible. Gohan left the station and headed to Yuki's coffee shop.
Gohan opened the door to the coffee shop. Yuki had everything ready for when he got there. Gohan said, �I told you I would drop by.� Yuki smiled and said, �I knew you would show up. You never say something you don't mean.� Gohan laughed, agreeing with her. He decided to tell her the news first, �Yuki, I am going to be working for the AMP starting Monday. I am finally going to leave the corrupt Mobile Division. It is also giving me more time to hang around you.� Gohan paused and then asked, �If you aren�t busy, do you want to go out to dinner Friday? I have already have reservations at the new restaurant in town. Katsumi and Roy would be coming to.� Yuki thought and replied, �That would be great. I�ve heard the food there is excellent. Plus, it sounds like fun.� Gohan breathed a sigh of relief. He didn�t expect it to have been so easy. Gohan then said, �It is going to be a long week until then though. I�m glad you guys have welcomed me like this. I haven�t had friends like you since high school.� Yuki replied, �You must have been lonely when you first moved here. I remember the first time I was in this town. Rally was the one who took me in.� Gohan said, �Yuki, something appears to be smoking.� Yuki turned around to see smoke rolling out of the kitchen. She exclaimed, �Oh no! I forgot about the pork. I hope it�s not too bad.� Gohan laughed and said, �Let me help, I don�t mind if the food is burnt. The fire doesn�t seem to have done too much damage. I will help repaint the areas affected by the smoke and fire.� Yuki replied, �That�s ok, but it�s my fault this happened. I was too focused on you and forgot all about what I was cooking.� Gohan smiled and said, �Don�t worry about it. These things happen. It could have happened even if I wasn�t here and you might not have noticed it until it was too late.� Yuki started to cry. Gohan asked, �What�s wrong? Was it something I said? If so I am sorry.� He reached over to Yuki and wiped a tear from her face. She replied, �No, you didn�t say something wrong. I just didn�t know you cared that much.� He told her not to worry, and that he will always be there to protect her. Across the street on a rooftop, Ganossa had seen the whole thing. He though to himself, enjoy your life while you can brother, you will not live to see Friday. Ganossa is plotting a plan to destroy Gohan, this is to where he can get Katsumi without a fight. Ganossa saw that Gohan was getting ready to leave the caf�, so he disappeared into the night. As Gohan went out the door, he said, �I will come by here tomorrow after my new training is done. Don�t work too hard tomorrow.� Yuki waived to him as he left and though, Gohan is such a nice guy, it is great to know that he is on our side though.
Gohan was on his way home when he ran into Katsumi and Roy. Gohan said, �Hi Katsumi. Roy. How has your night been? Oh by the way, I start working for the AMP Monday. Tomorrow is by first training day.� Roy replied, �Our nights been great. That�s good to know that you are transferring to the AMP, but what type of training are you going to start?� Katsumi said, �Yea, what type of training anyway?� Gohan said, �I�m not sure. I think it is going to be training on how to use this.� He showed them the Mesume. Katsumi asked, �What sword is that? Can it be used like Grosspelina?� Gohan replied, �All I know is that the user can channel his energy into the blade. The more energy transferred into the blade means a stronger attack but the user is drained severely. The good news is, the more you use it the less you are drained.� Roy said, �Sounds interesting. I hope you can use it to help stop the Lucifer Hawk.� Gohan replied, �I agree Roy. Where were you two heading?� They told Gohan they were headed home. Gohan decided to go with them for a while. They were being followed by a class 1 Lucifer Hawk. Once it reviled itself, it said, �I am here for Katsumi Liqueur.� Roy jumped in front of Katsumi. Gohan said, �We will not let you near her. We will die before she goes with you.� Roy looked Gohan and said, �Are you crazy!?� Gohan assured Roy that he knew what he was doing. The Lucifer Hark responded, �How noble. I am going to kill you. Prepare to die!!!� Katsumi looked at the Mesume and noticed that it was glowing. She realized what Gohan was doing and said, �Roy get down now!� As soon as he hit the ground, Gohan has unsheathed the Mesume, slicing the Lucifer Hawk into, once the blade was on the other side, the demon exploded, sending it�s body parts everywhere. Gohan fell to hi knees. Katsumi and Roy rushed up to him and asked, �Are you ok? That was incredible.� Gohan replied, �This sword does take it out of you, but that was awesome.� He then passed out. Roy checked him and said, �Looks like he over did it. We need to get him somewhere so he can rest.� Katsumi said, �I have an extra bed at my place. Lets take him there.� Roy agreed. Katsumi got Gohan into the bed and had Roy go to Gohan�s apartment to get him a change of clothes. Two hours had past, Roy was back, He went in to check on Gohan. Katsumi said, �He is resting peacefully. You should get some sleep too.� Roy asked, �What about you? You need to get some rest too.� Katsumi replied, �I will be fine. I want to make sure he is going to be ok, that�s all.� Roy finally agreed to go get some rest. Katsumi called Rally to tell her what Gohan had done. Rally told Katsumi that she would pick him up in the morning. It was now 6:30 in the morning and Katsumi had fallen asleep. Gohan woke up and saw where he was. When he got out of the bed, Katsumi woke up and said, �Don�t scare us like that!� Gohan looked at her and replied, �What did I do. The last thing I remember is using the Mesume to defeat a Lucifer Hawk.� Katsumi told him that he passed out from overexerting himself. She also told him that Rally was coming to pick him up today. Gohan asked if he could tale a shower. Katsumi said, �Yes, and Roy got you a change of clothes.� Gohan replied, �Thank you. I guess I wasn�t ready to use the Mesume.� He got ready and changed. Rally picked him up to go to his first training session at 7:30 am.
The ride had been quiet until Gohan asked, �Did I do the right thing?� Rally replied, �You were acting against a threat. You probably didn�t have another choice.� Gohan thought awhile and replied, �I guess your right. Does the Mesume always cause the user to pass out?� Rally replied, �No, you used too much energy. That is why I want you to be trained in how to use it. Mana is going to be in charge of your training.� Gohan replied, �That�s good to know. It felt great to use the sword. It almost felt like an extension of my body.� Rally laughed and said, �That is not a surprise. It the user and Mesume are one the same wavelength, it becomes an extension of your body and it increases the attack even more. I am now certain you are the true master of the sword. The last one that mastered that sword was Ganossa, who is your brother and my father.� Gohan was shocked. He asked, �Ganossa is your father? I didn�t know he had been married.� Rally replied, �It was long ago, the father I knew died when he made the deal with Nemesis.� Gohan said, �So he is a human. Then that makes me human too, am I right.� Rally replied, �No, your mother was in love with a category 4 Lucifer Hawk. This was after Ganossa�s father had died trying to stop Gregory Liqueur. The sorcerer�s guild killed his father. This is what caused him to become a Lucifer Hawk.� Gohan said, �I think I understand. When his father died, mother found a category 4 that she loved. That is my father. Ganossa made a deal with Nemesis when he found out they influenced the sorcerer�s guild. He is doing this to get back at everyone that has betrayed him. Ganossa found a category 4 which he loved the first time the gates were opened, which is where you get the blood of a Lucifer Hawk.� Rally replied, �Yes, I think that sums everything up. This has been an endless cycle. Gregory Liqueur was trick by the sorcerer�s guild over 100 years ago, Gigelf 25 years ago, and now they are trying to use Katsumi.� Gohan said, �That is not going to happen. I will not allow this cycle to go on. I too have the Liqueur blood, so it is my duty to stop the cycle.� Rally said, �You are related to the Liqueur�s? I thought there was a resemblance.� Gohan told her that their great-grandfathers were the same. They had reached the station, Gohan said, �That is also why I care so much about Katsumi, and thank you for taking care of Yuki when she first got here.� Rally said, �I will check on you late today. Then we can talk more about our pasts.� Gohan got out of the car and waived as Rally drove out of sight.
Gohan opened the door to the building and Chief Isozaki was there to greet him. She said, �Good morning Gohan. The first thing I am going to teach you is how to summon the sword.� Gohan asked, �I don�t care what order I learn things in. What do you want me to call you?� Mana thought and replied, �You can call me instructor, chief, Mana, or Chief Isozaki. Just remember not to overdue your training. You also might need to leave to assist on a call.� Gohan nodded and got ready for his training. Mana asked Gohan to follow her to the training room. The first part of training is the most vital. If Gohan couldn�t learn how to summon the sword, he could end up having to take it everywhere. The summoning does not drain the user but it can cause bodily harm if not performed correctly. The Mesume is the opposite of the demon sword Median. Once they reached the training area, Mana said, �Gohan, put the sword in this medal crate.� Gohan replied, �What good is that going to do? I can�t use the sword if it is in that crate.� Mana stared at Gohan and replied, �This is how you are going to learn how to summon the sword. The crate is made from titanium, which means that the only way to get the sword out is by summoning it or opening the crate.� Gohan put his hand on his forehead and started to laugh. He said, �I forgot that I could summon it. I guess I should try to focus my attention here.� Mana agreed and then they began Gohan�s training. Gohan was struggling with summoning Mesume, but every time he got closer to succeeding in summoning it. Mana thought of something that might motivate Gohan to where he could succeed in summoning the Mesume. She said, �Damn it Gohan, you aren�t trying hard enough. Do you want to let Yuki down? If you would stop trying half assed, you might be able to succeed.� Having pissed Gohan off, He replied in anger, �I will never let Yuki down! I will not fail! And I am not only trying half assed!� He then started summoning the Mesume, �Mesume, sword of light, hear my call, come to me, become one with me.� Gohan raised his right hand into the air and the next thing he knew was, he was holding the Mesume. Mana was able to give him the extra incentive he needed to summon the sword. She said, �Good, lesson one is now over. I�m sorry about what I said. It was all in attempt to get you to focus on the sword, and it seemed to work.� Gohan replied, �Damn it Chief! I was pissed over nothing. Thanks though. I thought that sword was never going to come to me.� Mana kept apologizing. The next thing she wants to do is teach him how much energy to use now. She said, �Gohan, I am going to now teach you how much energy you can use at your current strength.� Gohan asked, �Could we take some time to get something to eat?� Mana looked at her watch, it was now 12:15pm. She replied, �Sure, lets meet back here at 12:45. I am just going to grab something from the food court here, I suggest you do the same.� Gohan agreed. They returned to the training room to continue training.
Now that Gohan has learned how to summon the sword, the next thing he needs to learn is how much energy he can send into the blade. Mana said, �Gohan, I want you to start charging the blade. I will tell you went to stop.� Gohan summoned the sword, and started to slowly charge the blade. The blade started to glow blue. Mana said, �Good. Now increase the power.� Gohan added some more energy. The blade changed to a darker blue, then it started to glow a pinkish red. Mana said, �Gohan, this is the most energy that you can use right now. If you used anymore energy, you would probably pass out. Remember the color of the blade for reference. By Monday, you should be able to get the blade all the way to red, but that is only if you work with it every day.� Gohan asked, �Isn�t going from here to red only a little energy?� Mana replied, �It seems that way at first, but that is more energy than Grosspelina can produce at its maximum.� Gohan replied, �I guess I will have to trust you.� Mana said, �Now strike the crate the sword was in. That is the only way to discharge the sword.� Gohan nodded and charged the crate as if it was a Lucifer Hawk. He then jumped into the air and thruster the Mesume forward into the crate. The crate came apart and where the sword struck it, it had melted. Gohan looked at Mana, exhausted from the attack, he said, �This is the power of the Mesume. I never have seen anything as powerful. The only thing is, I am worn out.� Mana replied, �Yes, the sword is awesome. And you are tired because of the energy you used. That is all for today�s training. We will work on your sword fighting skills tomorrow.� Gohan replied, �Thanks for being a great instructor. I promise I will be here tomorrow early in the morning.� Mana said, �No problem. The director will be here to pick you up in a half an hour.� Mana left Gohan and he laid down on the floor from exhaustion. Rally arrived on time and went in to get Gohan. Rally saw him on the floor and said, �Come on lazy. We need to get you home.� Gohan looked up and replied, �Ok, but first I want to get something to eat.� Rally agreed and said, �That would be good. We can finally tell each other about our past.� Gohan was getting up from the floor. They went to the parking garage and left in Rally�s car.
They arrived at Gohan�s favorite restaurant, the Golden Skillet. The restaurant serves all kinds of food and has a bar like that at Ryan�s. Fortunately, Rally had already made reservations. Rally started by asking, �What was Ganossa like before he left you and the rest of your family? He left me alone with mother when I was only five.� Gohan replied, �I don�t remember much. I was only two or three at the time. What mother said when I asked about him was, he was such a nice man. He loved everyone, I don�t know what happened between now and then.� They sat there talking for hours. Gohan finally asked, �Why did you start the AMP?� Rally replied, �I guess it was about twenty years ago when Rosa and I were being chased and called witches. From that day on I knew that I was going to protect those who hated us. I figured it was the least I could do after what father had done.� Gohan looked at Rally and said, �I see. It is hard to live knowing that one of your family members is destroying the world you love. I just wish there was a way to get the Ganossa we once knew back.� Rally said, �There is one way, one of us must die by his hand. That is why we must stop him.� Gohan replied, �I can�t let him kill either one of us. We have so much to do and have too many people to leave behind.� Rally started to say, �You are right.� But before she could finish, Mana called Rally and said, �Director, there has been a third attraction. I have sent the team there to check it out.� Rally replied, �Understood. I will take Gohan there.� Gohan asked, �Do you think I am ready for this? I did just finish training.� Rally replied, �You will be fine, the sword can be used more than once in a day.� Gohan was relieved. They quickly finished eating and left for the abandon construction yard.
They arrived at the construction yard in a few minutes. When Rally and Gohan arrived, the other AMP members were already fighting the Lucifer Hark. Gohan said, �Rally, I will take it from here. You need to get far away from this place.� Rally replied, �But you might need my help.� Gohan smirked and said, �No buts, trust me with this. I have the others here to help me, and I am here to help them.� Rally finally agreed to leave, but she was only going to return with Mana to give air support. Gohan rushed to the center of the battlefield and asked, �What�s our situation?� Lebia answered, �To tell you the truth, we have been struggling with the Lucifer Hawk. I have never seen so much power from one of these demons.� Katsumi added, �Even Grosspelina has no effect on it. I think we have met our match this time.� Gohan thinking quickly asked, �Yuki, can you provide Katsumi and I a barrier long enough so we could get near the demon?� Yuki replied, �I will try. If it looks like the barrier is going to fail, get out of there as quickly as possible, ok.� Sounding concerned, Gohan said, �Trust me. I want to try something.� Yuki nodded and created a psychic barrier around them. Gohan asked Katsumi, �Are you ready?� Katsumi had a puzzled look on her face but said yes. Gohan then said, �Place your hands on the Mesume between mine. I want you to release some of your energy into the blade.� Katsumi looked at Gohan and said, �I see what you are doing. You want to use both of our powers on this Lucifer Hawk.� Gohan replied, �Exactly. I figured since I can�t get that much of a charge on my own, I would have you help me.� The blade started to glow red just from Katsumi�s energy. Gohan told her that was enough energy, he then started to use his energy. The blade went from the blood red, to a brilliant white and it has what looks like lightning running down the blade. Gohan said, �Lets move in. I hope this works.� Katsumi looked at him like he was crazy, but she understood this might be the only way to defeat the Lucifer Hawk. They were now within striking distance and Gohan said, �Swing from left to right, OK.� Katsumi nodded. The Lucifer Hawk said, �How stupid. You are now both going to die.� Gohan laughed, �You are the one that is going to die, that you are.� The Lucifer Hawk plunged towards them but before he hit them, Gohan and Katsumi struck the final blow with the Mesume. The Lucifer Hawk blew into thousands of pieces when the blade struck, showering the whole town. Gohan said, �Damn! That was some kind of attack. You okay Katsumi?� She said, �I�m fine except for being tired.� Gohan thanked her helping and trusting him. Yuki said, �Looks like you didn�t need the barrier, but its always better safe than sorry.� Gohan nodded. Then the director and chief showed up. Rally said, �What happened? Where is the Lucifer Hawk?� Gohan replied, �Gone, blown up. Thanks to the help of Yuki and Katsumi anyway.� Mana asked, �How did you do it?� Gohan said, �Simple. Yuki created a barrier around Katsumi and myself while we charged the Mesume. Then we went towards the Lucifer Hawk and struck it down as it lunged towards us.� Mana said, �I see. You have mastered a hard technique. Very few people can use the Mesume�s dual slash.� Gohan said, �That�s good to know but we all need to rest now.� Rally said, �Everyone, you fought well. Apparently, there is a new type of Lucifer Hawk. We will be expecting more attacks by then, so everyone can take the rest of the day off.� Everyone thanked the director. They all went different directions except for Gohan, Yuki, and Katsumi. They went to Katsumi�s apartment to make sure she was going to be ok.
As they got to Katsumi�s apartment, Yuki stopped because she sensed a strong power near them. Gohan asked, �What is it? Are we being followed?� Yuki replied, �I don�t know. I just felt a great power. It was only a brief second but I haven�t sensed that much power in a long time.� Gohan suggested the Yuki and he stayed the night with Katsumi to watch over her. Katsumi said, �That is not necessary, but thank you.� Gohan replied, �We will stay here anyway. Its getting late and it would take us too long to get to our places.� Katsumi agreed. Yuki said, �We will take shifts watching the place. I think every four hours will be good.� Gohan nodded and volunteered to work the first watch. Katsumi and Yuki went into the apartment and were quickly asleep. Gohan sat down outside the door and thought to himself, �what was that Yuki sensed. I wonder if I should tell Katsumi that we are related? That could be bad right now considering my brother, Ganossa killed Roy.� Some time had passed, it was quiet, too quiet for Gohan so he decided to go into the apartment. He sat down on the couch and looked at his watch. He still had about an hour left to watch over the apartment. Gohan decided to check the rooms with Katsumi and Yuki in them. He first checked on Yuki. Gohan opened the door and there she was sleeping soundly. He thought to himself, �She is even cute when she sleeps. Yuki has to be the nicest person I have meet other than Rally. I wonder what she is dreaming about.� Gohan closed the door quietly behind him. He then went to check on Katsumi. When he opened the door, Gohan heard �Who�s there?� Gohan replied, �Don�t worry Katsumi, it�s just me.� She replied, �Hello Gohan. What are you doing anyway?� Gohan said, �It was quiet outside so I decided to check on you two in here.� Katsumi then asked, �Why did you two insist on watching over me?� Gohan replied, �One is the Lucifer Hawks are after you again. Two, is you are like family to both Yuki and me.� He didn�t tell her the truth about himself. Katsumi replied, �You are like family to me. Yuki is like the sister I never had while you are like a brother and father at the same time.� Gohan though a minute and replied, �I try my best to protect you. I know that Gigelf would be proud of you. And I gave Roy a promise, I never make promises that I won�t keep.� Katsumi said, �But Roy can protect me now. I do agree that father would be proud but what about when I was possessed by Median?� Gohan replied, �I told you that I made a promise to protect you and Gigelf would look at the incident with Median as a mistake but he made one himself. Both of you fought to undue the wrongs you did that is why.� Katsumi said, �I guess you are right, and there is now way to get you to change your mind.� Gohan started to reply when the door opened. Yuki had gotten up and heard voices coming out of Katsumi�s room. Yuki asked, �Gohan, what are you doing inside?� He replied, �Things outside were quiet and I didn�t have anything to do. I came in and checked on both of you and Katsumi was awake so we had a conversation.� Yuki replied, �Ok, It�s my turn to watch anyway. You two need to get some rest before morning.� Both nodded in agreement. Gohan said, �See you in the morning and don�t be afraid to wake me if you think you need my help.� Yuki replied, �Don�t worry. I will ask for help if I need it. Good night and see you in the morning.� Gohan went to the room where Yuki had been to get some rest. Katsumi was able to go right to sleep when Gohan and Yuki left her room. A few minutes after Yuki�s shift started, she sensed a great power approaching. They had been watched by Ganossa since they left the construction yard. He decided that it was time to make his move. Yuki went into Gohan�s room and said, �I just sensed a great power moving this way.� Gohan was just starting to fall asleep, but his response was, �Ganossa. I guess it is time to face him.� Yuki knew what he meant, but she did not want to tell Gohan that she already knew he was Ganossa�s brother. Yuki said, �Be careful, you might not be strong enough to fight him.� Gohan replied, �I know that but I must try. He wasn�t always like this. Ganossa has a family of his own, and I will try to bring him back to them.� Yuki asked, �What family is that?� Gohan answered, �The Cheyenne family. He is the father of Rally and Rosa.� Yuki replied, �I never knew. Please be careful for the director�s sake. Try not to kill him unless there is no other way.� Gohan wasn�t surprised that Yuki didn�t want him to kill Ganossa since Rally was like a mother to her. Yuki feels that the Cheyenne�s are her only family. Gohan said, �Don�t worry. Killing him is my last resort. Besides he is just a human.� Gohan requested the Yuki stay here and watch Katsumi. She didn�t argue. Gohan walked over to Yuki and hugged her and whispered, �I love you.� Yuki started to cry from joy and worry. Gohan wiped a tear from her cheek and said, �Don�t worry I will come back.� He left the apartment to face his destiny.
As soon as Gohan got outside the apartment, he ran into Ganossa. Ganossa said, �Well if it isn�t my little brother. You have been a pain in the ass. I came here to kill you then take the key.� Gohan replied, �You will never get Katsumi, ever. I plan on cleaning the streets with you. But we will not fight here.� Ganossa asked, �Where do you want to fight?� Gohan answered, �The place it all began, the airport.� Ganossa scratched his head in confusion. He then replied, �Very well. Don�t keep me waiting.� Ganossa then diapered like he always does. Gohan then went back into the apartment and asked, �Yuki, please contact Rally and tell her the Ganossa and I are going to fight at the old abandon airport.� Yuki replied, �I will. Do you want anyone else to go?� He replied, �No, I just want her to know that the last battle may be starting tonight.� Yuki agreed and contacted Rally and told her about the situation. Gohan then left quickly to get to the airport. He didn�t see Ganossa but he could sense that he was near. He said, �Come out and show yourself. Hiding is showing that you are nothing but a coward.� Gohan went on and on trying to bring Ganossa out from hiding. Gohan added, �Have you forgotten about you daughter, Rally? You planed to use Rosa to kill both of them. You make me sick.� Ganossa had heard enough. He showed himself and said, �Human emotion makes me sick, especially love. I could care less if Rally survives. As for you brother I have other plans.� Gohan laughed, �You are pathetic. I could have killed you three times by now. I am trying to bring you back to us. We will forgive you for what you have done.� Ganossa replied, �Lies, all lies. You just want me dead. I am going to kill you, take Katsumi Liqueur, and then destroy the city.� Gohan said, �I guess I have no choice. I will beat some sense back into you. Lets have a duel of swordsmen.� Ganossa replied, �You must want to die. No one has ever beaten me in a duel, but I will accept you challenge.� Gohan realized that he had left the Mesume at Katsumi�s apartment, he just hoped that he could summon the sword on the first try. Gohan started to focus his mind and chanted, �Mesume, sword of light, hear my call, come to me, become one with me.� The sword appeared in Gohan�s hand. Ganossa saw him summon the sword and said, �Well brother, seems the sword of light recognizes you as its master. I never figured that you would be the one to inherit it. But it will be no match for the sword of darkness, Annihilation.� Gohan replied, �What a worthless name of a sword. Did you come up with that one yourself?� Ganossa said, �You impatient fool. I will take no mercy on you.� Gohan laughed, �You are stupid Ganossa. I have never heard such threats before. Go ahead and attack if you want to taste the ground.� Ganossa laughed, �Ha. Who�s original now? You watch too much TV if you use quotes like that.� Off in the distance they could here, �Stop it right now. I want to talk to him, Gohan.� Rally had come to stop Gohan and Ganossa�s fight. Ganossa said, �Good, we now have an audience.� He then used his ability to create a barrier to prevent Rally from moving. Rally said, �Why are you doing this? Please don�t kill him Gohan.� Gohan replied, �It is my destiny and don�t worry I will not kill him if that is at all possible. Now let her go you ass hole.� Ganossa said, �Did I make you angry. She will be joining you soon enough.� Gohan replied, �You are nothing but a murderer and a jackass. I cannot let you hurt anyone else. Especially, my cousin, Katsumi.� Ganossa said, �Then it is true, we are from the Liqueur bloodline. That would explain our powers.� Gohan replied, �That�s right. That means that it is our duty to protect this planet. Your father was killed by people from Nemesis. Gigelf had nothing to do with his death.� Ganossa didn�t believe Gohan at all. Ganossa said, �If that is true, then why did Gigelf open the gates of Nemesis in the past.� Gohan replied, �Their family has been tricked for thousands of years. Katsumi and I are the only two that can prevent this from happening again.� Ganossa said, �All lies. He wanted to destroy this planet, and I am going to finish the job.� Gohan replied, �That�s not true. Once Gigelf realized that he had been tricked, he gave his life protecting the planet.� Gohan finally decided that he had to use force to make Ganossa realize that what he was saying was true. Gohan said, �Rally, I have no choice but to attack him.� Rally replied, �Please be careful. I don�t want to see either one of you killed.� Gohan answered, �Like I said before, that is only a last resort.� Ganossa laughed, �You are pathetic brother. I will kill you without even thinking twice while you don�t want to kill me. Then why have you killed your other brethren?� Gohan replied, �I had no other choice. It was kill them or have thousands of innocent killed.� Gohan had enough of Ganossa�s arguing, so he decided to charge towards him. Gohan slashed at Ganossa but he had teleported himself behind Gohan. Ganossa said, �That�s good brother. Despise me, hate me, and kill me.� Gohan turned around and said, �Why don�t we fight like men?� Ganossa replied, �Please, don�t compare me to those humans. But I do agree that a good fight would be fun.� Gohan and Ganossa drew their swords and prepared themselves for the battle ahead of them.
Gohan said, �Ready to begin?� Ganossa replied, �More than ready. I should have killed you when I had the chance.� Those were the last words of aggression that came from Ganossa. Gohan raised his sword and sturdied it with a two handed stance. Ganossa was impressed that Gohan had already learned so much with the sword. Ganossa then proceeded to raise his sword one-handed. He was always trying to outdo his opponents. He gave Gohan the opportunity to make the first move. It was a lightning fast move but Ganossa was ready for anything. The two swords connected, sending sparks everywhere, and created a deafening boom that could be heard all over Tokyo. Back at Katsumi�s apartment, Yuki had one of her visions, she screamed, �No Gohan don�t do it!� Her vision was of Gohan striking a fatal blow to Ganossa. Katsumi heard Yuki and got up and asked, �What�s wrong?� Yuki replied, �It was one of my visions. Gohan is going to kill Ganossa.� Katsumi said, �You let him go alone? Why didn�t you get me up.� Yuki replied, �He told me to contact Rally. He didn�t want anyone there because of what might happen.� Katsumi said, �We have to go there now. You do know where they are don�t you?� Yuki replied, �Yes. You are right we must go help him.� The left for the old airport, but by the time they got there it was too late. Gohan was striking the final blow. As Ganossa fell to the ground, he reverted back to his original state. His barrier had fallen and Rally rushed out to him. Gohan was holding him in his arms when Ganossa said, �You have sure grown Gohan. I am proud of you brother.� Gohan replied, �Don�t talk, save your strength. We will do all that we can to save you.� Rally was glad to see hi back to normal but also sad knowing he probably wouldn�t live. Ganossa said, �Rally I am sorry for everything I put you through. Can you ever forgive me.� Rally replied, �I can. Even though you tried to kill me I still loved you. I just want you to live. Yuki, Katsumi, please call for an ambulance.� They did without hesitating. Gohan asked, �What were you going to do once the gates of Nemesis were open?� Ganossa replied, �I don�t know. That is when my deal would have been up.� He started to lose consciousness. Gohan reached down to check his pulse and said, �Stay awake, don�t leave us.� He regained consciousness long enough to ask, �Gohan, I want you to take care of Rally for me.� Gohan replied, �Why me. You will be fine.� As he said that Ganossa finally slipped away. Clinching his cold, dead body, Gohan yelled, �Nooooo!� And then he started crying. Soon after Rally did the same. They then hugged each other and decided to give him a proper burial.
Everyone from the AMP along with Roy gathered at the cemetery to say their goodbyes to Ganossa. Gohan started by saying, �I�m glad you were all able to come here today. This is a sad day along with a joyous day. Ganossa, my brother and Rally�s father, is dead, but in his last moments, he seemed to be normal. The good thing is, there is no one trying to open the gates of Nemesis now. Farewell my brother.� Rally then said, �Although he tried to kill me, I still loved him and hoped for the day that he would come back to us. He could have been a great father. Ganossa always seemed to have a soft side even though he was possessed by evil. I will always think of you as my father and never as the enemy. Goodbye, until we meet again.� Gohan looked at everyone else and asked, �Do any of you have anything to add?� No one really did, but Katsumi said, �I never knew the kinder Ganossa, but I have forgiven him for what he had done. I am sorry that there wasn�t a way to save him for Rally and Gohan. At least they were there to say their goodbyes when he took his last breath. He even apologized for everything. I will remember him for those last moments.� They then took the coffin and put it in the ground. Nami said, �Today we put a family member in the ground. May the spirits guide you on your journey.� Even though Ganossa had tried to kill the members of the AMP, they all forgave him, knowing that he was possessed by Nemesis. Once the coffin was in the ground, Gohan and Rally started to cry. Yuki knew it was tough to lose a loved one. She said, �I think we need to do something to try and cheer up Gohan and Rally.� Gohan replied, �Don�t worry Yuki, we will be fine in a few minuets. I just want to be alone for a while.� Gohan left into the darkness of the night to clear his head.
Gohan had been walking for about an hour. He decided to check Yuki�s coffee shop to see if she was there. As luck would have it she expected him to come by. Before he could open the door, Yuki was there and said, �I was expecting you to come here. It�s going to be tough these next few days.� Gohan replied, �That may be true, but as long as you are here it will be much easier. I just wish I could have gotten to know him better.� Yuki looked at Gohan and said, �This week has been hard. Finding out that Ganossa was Rally�s father, and your brother. Also trying to decide what to wear Friday.� Gohan replied, �It was one of the worst weeks I�ve ever had. For Friday, wear something informal and that you can be comfortable in. I know what would make me feel better, how about a cup of your best coffee?� Yuki said, �Sure, it�s been a while since I�ve made coffee for you. I just can�t wait until Friday.� Gohan replied, �Neither can I. It is going to be a fun night. First dinner then a movie, what could be better?� Yuki said, �Your right and here�s the coffee you asked for.� Gohan replied, �Thanks, tastes good like always.� As they were sitting there talking, someone opened the door and knocked next to the door and said, �You here Gohan?� Gohan replied, �Is that you Katsumi?� Katsumi answered, �Good guess. How did you know it was me?� Gohan replied, �Simple, I remember voices as well as faces.� Katsumi and Yuki laughed. Gohan asked, �Why are you looking for me?� Katsumi answered, �I just wanted to make sure you were alright. What are you two talking about anyway?� Yuki answered, �About Friday. I didn�t want to come overdressed.� Katsumi replied, �I almost forgot about Friday. Thanks for reminding me.� Gohan said, �Before you ask, just wear something casual and comfortable.� Katsumi thanked Gohan for clearing things up about Friday. The three sat around talking about their week. It was well after one in the morning before the left for their home, well Yuki and Katsumi went to their homes while Gohan went back to the hotel.
End Part One
Before Gohan learned that he was a Lucifer Hawk, the only thing he wanted to do was live a normal life. One day he found out the truth, he too was part Lucifer Hawk like Katsumi and Rally. Gohan had feared this truth but he understood that he has an obligation to prevent the two worlds, Nemesis and Earth, from merging into one. Now knowing the truth, Gohan vowed to protect the ones he loved, especially Yuki. Yuki had been like a sister to him but he also loved her much deeper than he showed. She did not know this, which was good for the time being. The strange thing is, Yuki has the same feelings towards Gohan. The first time Gohan told Yuki was after his first shift of watching Katsumi. The thing about their first date was it was a double date. The other couple was Roy, who is now more machine than man, and Katsumi. As usual, the dinner was interrupted by a call for them to report to the sighting of a class 3 Lucifer Hawk. This was going to be the first time that Roy, Gohan, Katsumi, and Yuki fought a Lucifer Hawk.
Once on the scene, Nami along with Kiddy, were fighting the Lucifer Hawk on the ground while Lebia and Rally were providing air support. As usual, the battle was causing damage to the buildings, fortunately no one has been killed. Gohan and Katsumi asked the others to leave the area. Roy and Yuki first refused. With Gohan�s quick thinking, he said, �Roy, you and Yuki need to get out of here. Between Katsumi and myself, we have enough power to destroy the entire town. So please take Yuki as fare as you can from this place. I will call you as soon as we are done.� Roy replied, �Are you crazy!? You need our help even if you two have that much power.� Gohan yelled, �GET OUT OF HERE! IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO YOU OR YUKI, I COULDN�T LIVE WITH MYSELF! So please leave here as quickly as possible.� Figuring that arguing with Gohan was a lost cause, Roy took of with Yuki. As they were leaving, Yuki yelled out to Gohan, �YOU better come back alive! I still haven�t fixed you my favorite coffee. I also love you to much to lose you now.� Pausing where he stood, Gohan started to smile and turned to Yuki and waved and said, �Don�t worry. I will come back, but if I don�t, I love you more than anyone I have ever loved before.� As Roy and Yuki drove out of sight, Yuki stated to cry and yelled to Gohan, �GOHAN!� To comfort her Roy looked at Yuki and told her that it will be alright, and that Gohan has made it out of worse situations. Yuki said, �Thank you. I know you are trying to comfort me. I guess you are right about Gohan, he is very tuff but gentle at the same time. Lets get out of here.� As they got farther away they could see explosions in the mirrors. These explosions were being cause by the clash of the Lucifer Hawk and the combined powers of Katsumi and Gohan. They are only using half of their strength to give the others the chance to escape.
Now that everyone is a safe distance away form the battlefield, Katsumi and Gohan will be able to use all of their powers. Knowing that everyone is now a safe distance away, Gohan asked, �Are you ready to send this scum back to Hell where it belongs?� Katsumi gave a firm nod of the head and began to search for the Lucifer Hawk�s weak point. While she did this Gohan found an area that would be perfect for bracing for the attack. Katsumi had found the weak point and relayed the information to Gohan, �It�s weak point is in the back of the head. If we can get around to it�s back, we should be able to easily defeat it.� Gohan replied, �That is going to be easier said than done. One of us needs to distract it while the other on prepares to attack.� Katsumi nods a firm yes and said, �I will distract it long enough so you can focus your whole attack on it�s back.� Gohan was quick to ask, �Are you sure? I will do it, unless you are sure you can hold him off long enough.� Katsumi laughed, �I�m glad you are that concerned for me. I am sure that I can buy you the time you need to take him down. Just remember I�m here to help. If I see that you can�t do it on your own I can help because we can combined our powers to destroy this thing.� Remembering the first time they combined their powers, Gohan nodded and simply said, �Let�s rock and roll!� To distract the Lucifer Hawk, Katsumi darted in front of it saying, �If you want to merge both worlds you will need me. You will never be able to trick me again. Now you are going to die!� Gohan held his forehead and thought to himself, she could have thought about what she was going to say a little more but it should give me the time I need. The Lucifer Hawk replied, �You stupid fool. I don�t want to merge the worlds, I was sent to find and kill you, Katsumi Liqueur.� Gohan said, �Run Katsumi. It was a trap.� Before he was able to finish, the Lucifer Hawk grabbed Katsumi and was strangling her. With his quick thinking, Gohan did the only thing he could. He called forth his sword, the Mesume, and started sending his powers through the blade. It started to glow a dark blood red. Gohan said to the Lucifer Hawk, �Let her go if you want to live. I will destroy you like I did Ganossa.� The Lucifer Hawk responded, �Why should I listen to a measly human? There is no way you killed Ganossa. Since you want to die so much I will kill you before Miss Liqueur.� Gohan thought to himself that this was one arrogant shit. Gohan replied, in a cocky voice, �It is you who is going to die that you are. Katsumi, stay out of this unless I start getting overpowered.� Katsumi agreed but knew she may have to help Gohan defeat the Lucifer Hawk. Gohan charged towards the Lucifer Hawk, and when he went to strike it, it vanished. Gohan quickly jumped backwards and said, �Show yourself, you spineless coward.� The Lucifer Hawk reappeared and said, �You must really want to die. I will make sure that it is a quick and painless death.� Gohan looked at the Lucifer Hawk and laughed. He started to charge the Mesume�s blade even more. The blade started to glow even more and it also appeared to have lightning running through it. This time, instead of charging directly at the Lucifer Hawk, Gohan charge it and then he transported behind the Lucifer Hawk. Katsumi thought to herself, he is very powerful but also very gentle and I am glad he is like that. With his sword raised, Gohan said, �Now you are going to die.� This caused the Lucifer Hawk to turn around but it was too late because the blade of the sword had split the Lucifer Hawk into two bloody piles of demon flesh. The flesh turned to dust and blew away. Gohan, drained from the attack, asked �Katsumi, are you ok? Could you call to tell Roy and Yuki that we are fine and the situation is normal?� Katsumi looked at Gohan and said, �You look like you are hurt. Are you going to be ok?� Gohan explained that he was drained from the attack and would be fine in an hour or so. Katsumi understood and then called to let Roy, Yuki, Mobile Division 1, and the AMPD telling them that the situation was normal and that they would give the report as soon as they got to the station.
Once Gohan and Katsumi got back to the station, the first ones there to congratulate their victory was Rally, followed closely by Roy and Yuki. Gohan gave Yuki a hug and told her, �I will see you later. It might take some time for me to give my report.� Yuki replied, �That�s fine. As long as you are safe that is all that matters. I�m getting off in about fifteen minutes and I will be going to open the coffee shop.� Gohan nodded and said he would stop by when he was done. Roy came up to Gohan and thanked him for protecting Katsumi. Gohan reminded him about their promise, even though Roy is alive Gohan will be protecting Katsumi. Gohan and Katsumi headed up to the meeting room where they gave their report to Chief Mana. Gohan started, �It appears that the Lucifer Hawk is out to destroy Katsumi. I don�t understand why, because she is the only one who can open Nemesis for them.� Mana though long and hard and replied, �It does sound suspicious but it is possible that they have found someone else that could be the Key to Nemesis.� Katsumi was puzzled and asked, �Who could it be? I don�t know anyone who has that ability other than myself.� Gohan said, �That�s true but there is one more thing that you need to know about me. Your great-grandfather is also my great-grandfather. This makes us cousins and would explain some of my powers.� Being shocked, Katsumi replied, �Why did you wait to tell me.� Gohan wanted Mana to explain and she did, �He didn�t want you to know that you were related to Ganossa. He also didn�t want to risk loosing your friendship. I knew that you would eventually find out. I kept it a secrete because when you weren�t ready to know the truth when you first met Gohan. Why do you think he volunteered to keep an eye on you until you returned to work?� Katsumi replied, �I understand now. You kept this secrete knowing that he also has the power to open Nemesis. Gohan has been like a brother to me and I would never lose trust in him. I just wish you guys wouldn�t keep these things secrete.� Scratching her head, Katsumi gave her part of the report, �I distracted the Lucifer Hawk while Gohan powered up the Mesume. Once it was powered up he charged towards the Lucifer Hawk only for it to disappear. Gohan was able to coax it out of hiding. He then proceeded to charge the sword even more. Gohan than charged the Lucifer Hawk again only to get half way there then teleport behind the Lucifer Hawk. Having gotten behind it, Gohan struck the Lucifer Hawk down. The remains of it turned to dust and vanished.� Gohan added, �The Lucifer Hawk was easily struck down but I was severely drained after the attack.� The chief said, �Good report. Both of you can take the rest of the day off, unless you are needed.� Both of then replied at the same time, �Thank you, Chief Mana.� All three laughed and went on to do their business. Gohan was quick to apologize for not telling Katsumi the whole truth. Katsumi said, �Don�t worry about it. It was for my protection along with yours. Anyway don�t you have some place to be?� Gohan said, �Yes, I was going to head their now. I�ll tell you what, here is some money, take yourself and Roy out to dinner and a movie. I will catch you guys tomorrow morning.� Katsumi told Gohan thank you and left to see what movie Roy wanted to see. Shortly after, Gohan headed to Yuki�s coffee shop.
When Gohan got to the coffee shop, Yuki was in the back doing some cleaning, so she couldn�t hear him enter. Gohan sat down at the counter and said, �Where�s that coffee you owe me.� Yuki looked around the corner at Gohan and said, �Good to see you again. Give me a minute and you can have all the coffee you want.� Gohan laughed, and thought to himself, she never quits working hard. Once she was done cleaning, Yuki started brewing her favorite coffee and asked, �How did the report go?� Gohan told her everything, but with her psychic powers she already knew he was related to the Liqueurs. Yuki told Gohan, �I knew you were related to Katsumi. This is one reason I like you so much. Everyone in her family has fought the Lucifer Hawks.� Gohan, puzzled, asked, �Do you also know I am the younger brother of Ganossa.� She nodded and told him yes but she also said, �You are nothing like him. You have the heart of a human. Not only that, you are gentle unless fighting a Lucifer Hawk.� Not having heard the door, Kiddy had heard everything. Gohan turned around when he heard footsteps and said, �How long have you been there, Kiddy?� Kiddy responded, �Long enough. I don�t care if you are a half bread. You still have human compassion, and that is all that matters. Am I not right Yuki?� Yuki turning red from embarrassment and agreed. Yuki gathered her composure and asked, �What brings you here?� Kiddy told them, �I think Lebia has found a way to close the gate between Nemesis and earth once and for all.� Gohan looked at Kiddy and said, �That�s great, but do we have the technology to follow through with the plan.� Slamming her fist into the wall, Kiddy said, �We might have that technology available to us in about ten years.� Yuki had finished the coffee and gave Gohan, Kiddy, and herself a cup. Gohan told Yuki, �This is the best coffee I have ever tasted. I just wish there was a way to speed up the process for closing Nemesis.� Yuki began blushing again and agreed with Gohan. Kiddy said, �I�m going to leave you two alone. I was supposed to tell you that we are having a meeting to discuss this more tomorrow so show up to work a half hour early.� Gohan and Yuki looked at each other and then looked at Kiddy. Gohan said, �We will make sure that Katsumi and Roy know about the meeting.� Kiddy laughed and said, �I almost forgot about them. Thanks for reminding me. See you two in the morning.� Kiddy left the coffee shop and went strait home. Gohan looked at Yuki and said, �I don�t have a place to stay tonight, do you mind if I sleep on your couch tonight. Yuki smiled and replied, �That�s fine but no karaoke from you or me, ok?� Gohan nodded in agreement. He was puzzled and asked, �Why are you the one that brought up the karaoke? I really don�t care if we sing or not but it could always be fun.� Yuki thought for a while and said, �I don�t know. I didn�t think of you as the type to try karaoke.� Gohan laughed and replied, �I�ll try anything once, you should know that. Anyway it�s getting late, we should get rested up for tomorrow.� Yuki agreed and they left the coffee shop holding hands.
On the way to Yuki�s home, Gohan remembered that Katsumi didn�t know about the meeting. Gohan asked Yuki, �Do you have a cell phone to where I can tell Katsumi about tomorrows meeting?� Yuki handed him the phone. Gohan first called Katsumi�s apartment, she wasn�t home but he left a message on her answering machine, �Katsumi, we have a meeting early tomorrow morning. It is to discuss a way to close Nemesis forever. See you there, Gohan.� Then he called her pager with a similar text message. Gohan said, �Thanks Yuki, lets just hope that she gets one of the messages.� Yuki agreed and asked Gohan, �Why didn�t you tell her that you two were related? I know you had you reasons but I want to know.� Gohan though for awhile, then answered, �I didn�t want her to know that she was related to Ganossa. I was also afraid that something bad would happen to her if she knew the whole truth. I know now that Katsumi understands what it is to be a Lucifer Hawk and human at the same time.� Yuki nodded and replied, �I understand the trouble that comes with having powers. It is how we use the powers that matters. Everyone has the ability to use their powers for good but not everyone chooses to follow the light. Those are the people like Ganossa.� Gohan stopped and said, �That�s true, but something made him change. I remember in the past that he was very loving. In Ganossa�s last moments he seemed to be the brother I had always loved. His last words were, I�m sorry and don�t make the mistake I did Gohan.� Yuki said, �Sorry about bring that up. I never knew what he said. Ganossa seemed to change before his death.� Gohan told her not to worry about it, it was done and in the past and there is nothing they could do to bring him back. Gohan had an idea. He asked Yuki, �Would you like to go visit Lum Chang? It�s been a while since we�ve seen her.� Yuki thought that was an excellent idea. They first stopped at a flower shop to get flowers. Fortunately, the hospital is a block away from Yuki�s home so they could have a good visit with Lum Chang and still have a good nights sleep.
When Gohan and Yuki got to the hospital, they asked, �What room is Lum Chang in?� The attendant at the desk replied, �She has just been moved to room 105. I�m surprised you are here to see her. She hasn�t had any visitors since her stay started.� Gohan looked at Yuki and said, �That�s really not a surprise. Lum Chang was always a little boss, but she is still a member of the team.� Gohan and Yuki made it down to Lum�s room. When they opened the door, Lum Chang said, �Leave me alone. I�ve had enough tests run on me to last me a year.� Realizing that the people coming into the room weren�t doctors, Lum Chang said, �Sorry, they have been running test on me every hour. I�m glad someone is here to visit me.� She saw that it was Gohan and Yuki, these were the last two people she thought would come visit her. Yuki said, �You have as much energy as ever. Looks like you might be out of here in a week.� Gohan added, �Here are some flowers. We thought you might want something to liven up the room.� Lum Chang was very surprised but she was also happy. She said, �Thank You. Why are you here anyway?� Gohan and Yuki thought for a minute. Then the both started to say, �Because, you are an important member of the team.� Gohan then said, �We also think you need to try and cooperate more. You can�t do us any good if you get killed or injured.� Lum Chang was quick to respond, �I have thought about that before. It has been my nature to jump into things without thinking. I will try to be more of a team played from now on.� Yuki smiled and said, �That�s great. We are really going to need you if we are going to close the gates of Nemesis.� Gohan added, �We have a meeting to talk about it tomorrow. The only problem is, the technology needed is about ten years down the road.� Lum Chang started to fall asleep. Gohan looked at Yuki and said, �We should get some rest ourselves. We can check on her in the morning before going to the meeting.� Yuki agreed, and they left the hospital and a few minutes later arrived at Yuki�s home.
Once they arrived, Yuki said, �I�ll make some coffee before we go to bed.� Gohan said, �Won�t that keep us up late? It�s ok with me though, I�m really not tired right now.� Yuki laughed, she always has a cup of coffee before going to bed. She told Gohan, �I enjoy my bedtime coffee, and it really doesn�t keep me up any later than normal.� Gohan nodded and agreed to have the coffee. They finished up their coffee, and Yuki said, �You don�t need to sleep on the couch, I do have a guest room you know.� Gohan looked at Yuki and replied, �I didn�t know or I would have asked to sleep there instead, and thank you for allowing me to sleep here tonight. I will have to find my own place soon.� Yuki looked at Gohan and took his hand and said, �You can stay here until then.� He nodded in agreement. They then went to bed, well they tried anyway. Yuki was able to go right to sleep, but Gohan lying in the bed was thinking about a world without the need for the AMP. An hour had past and the door opened, it was Yuki. She asked, �Hey you awake.� Gohan replied, �Yes, I�ve had trouble going to sleep lately. What are you doing here?� Yuki replied, �I couldn�t go back to sleep, and I wanted someone to talk to.� Gohan asked, �What do you want to talk about?� Yuki thought, and replied, �What is going to happen to us once Nemesis is closed off?� Gohan was surprised because he had been wondering the same thing. Gohan replied, �Yuki, I�m not sure. The AMP would no longer be needed to fight the Lucifer Hawk. I probably would end up back with Mobil Division 1. I have no plans of leaving this town. Too many of my memories are here, and I couldn�t leave you.� Yuki was not surprised by his response, then she said, �The AMP might not be broken up considering the Rally is head of the district. She would probably keep the AMP together to help with more sever crimes.� Gohan replied, �Let�s hope so, but this is going to be ten years down the road anyway. We have some time to figure out what to do if the AMP is dismantled. We need to try and get some sleep, tomorrow is going to be a long day.� Yuki agreed and said, �Good night.� Gohan said the same and was finally able to go right to sleep. When Gohan woke up Yuki was in the bed curled up next to him. He was so surprised he fell out of the bed onto the floor. Gohan said, in an embarrassed voice, �Yuki, what are you doing in my bed? I like you and all but this is just too fast for me!� Yuki quickly sat up and said, �Slow down, what are you talking about?� Gohan replied, �You were curled up next to me when I woke up, that�s what.� Yuki turned red and said, �Sorry, I must have walked in my sleep again. I have a bad habit of doing that.� Gohan had cooled of and said, �Sorry I acted like an ass. I just didn�t know what to say. Lets try not to do that again.� Yuki agreed. Yuki then said, �What time is it anyway?� Gohan looked at his watch and said, �6:30, we have plenty of time to visit Lum Chang and still make it to the meeting.� Yuki said, �I�m gonna take a shower before we go. There is another bathroom downstairs that you can use.� Gohan replied, �Yea, I need to shave before we go. I guess I will see you downstairs when you are done.� They went of to the different bathrooms to get ready for today. Gohan thought to himself, that was a shock this morning, waking up with Yuki beside me. It was also very comforting. Maybe she is the one I�ve been looking for. Meanwhile, upstairs, Yuki was thinking, I hope I didn�t scare him to much. I guess Gohan was right in being upset, but he cooled of quickly. Maybe after work we could go see a movie. Gohan had been done for five minutes, when Yuki came down stairs. Gohan said, �We got about two hours before we need to be at work.� Yuki said, �Good, we can eat breakfast, see Lum Chang, and then go to work without a problem.� Gohan said, �I�m one step ahead of you, I already prepared us some breakfast. I hope you like bacon and eggs, but I was hoping you would do the coffee.� Yuki was surprised, she replied, �I love bacon and eggs. Of course I will brew the coffee. You should know that by now.� They finished eating, which still left them with an hour and a half until they had to be at work, then headed to the hospital to check on Lum Chang.
They went to the hospital and checked in, but when they got to Lum�s room, it was empty. Gohan went to the desk and asked, �What happened to Lum Chang? She isn�t in her room.� The attendant replied, �She left after you two did yesterday. She was mumbling something about a meeting.� Gohan said, �Should have know. That�s just like her. Thanks for the help.� The attendant replied, �No problem.� Gohan returned back to Lum�s room and said, �Yuki, Lum Chang left the hospital last night after we left. The attendant said that she was mumbling about a meeting. Lets just hope she is going to make it to the station ok.� Yuki replied, �Maybe she will be alright. She is very strong. Now what are we going to do since she wasn�t here?� Gohan thought for a moment and then answered, �I guess we could go to work early or we could go watch a few minutes of TV.� Yuki said, �Lets go to work early, there are some things I want to get done before the meeting.� Gohan replied, �Then it�s settled. Time to go to work.� They headed towards the front door, where they meet Rally. Gohan asked, �What are you doing here? Lum Chang left here last night after we visited her. The attendant said she was mumbling about a meeting.� Rally replied, �I was coming her to pick her up, but it looks like she already knew she needed to come to the meeting. Hopefully, Lum will be at the meeting.� Gohan agreed, and said, �Yuki and I were about to head toward the station. I guess we will see you there.� Rally replied, �I will see you then. So see you two later.� Gohan and Yuki left for the station. Rally then went in and asked the attendant, �Did Lum seem ok?� The attendant replied, �Yes, she was fine and even seemed ready to be released.� Rally said, �I see, thank you and goodbye for now.� Rally then left for the station and passed Yuki and Gohan halfway there.
As Yuki and Gohan walked along they talked about Lum Chang. Gohan said, �I hope she is alright. Knowing Lum, she was probably like, I need to get out of here. It�s too cramped in here.� Yuki replied, �That defiantly sounds like something she would say. I believe that Lum was ready to be released and us just telling her about the meeting gave her a reason to leave the hospital.� Gohan had an idea to call the station. When he called, Gohan asked if Lum Chang was there. Lebia was the one who answered the phone. Gohan said, �Lebia, I want to know if Lum Chang is there.� Lebia replied, �She has been here for about an hour. She keeps asking when the meeting is going to start. I was surprised that she was here and knew about the meeting.� Gohan said, �Well, that is Yuki and my fault. Last night we visited her and told here about the meeting. When we went to visit her this morning she was gone. The attendant said Lum left mumbling about a meeting. Yuki and I will be there soon and thank you for the report.� Lebia replied, �No problem, it�s part of my job. See you soon.� Gohan turned towards Yuki and said, �Good news, Lum Chang is already at the station. She seems to be just fine. I know that makes me feel better.� Yuki replied, �That sure is a relief. I�m glad that she is ok.� Gohan then said, �Looks like we made it in time. Lets go in and try and talk some sense into Lum.� Yuki nodded as they opened the door.
As soon as they walked through the door, they ran into Lum Chang. Gohan said, �It�s good to see that you are alright. When we went to check on you this morning and you weren�t there, we got really worried. I was afraid it was the worst possible.� Yuki added, �Besides, Rally had come to pick you up. She was surprised you left and also worried.� Lum Chang replied, �You mean that you were worried about me? I didn�t think you cared about me that much.� Gohan said, �Like I said before, you are a valuable teammate, and you are an important person. I know it is tough for you not to rush into things before thinking, but please think before you act.� Yuki added, �Not only that but you actually help liven this place up.� Lum replied, �You really think so? I guess you were telling me the truth earlier. I will start listening to what you tell me.� Gohan said, �Good. The first thing we need to do is include you in my training. I know you think your skills are good enough now, but it helps to have all the experience you can.� Lum replied, �You really think I need training don�t you? You might be right about that. I have never trained or worked hard for anything before. So, when does our training start?� Gohan said, �Don�t ask me. Talk to Mana about that. I expect that the training that I was doing will start back after today�s meeting.� Lum asked, �What type of training is it anyway?� Gohan answered, �For me, it is training on how to properly use the Mesume. For you it might be on how to use your powers and possibly on battle strategy.� Yuki said, �It�s almost time for the meeting to start, you two can talk more later.� They both agreed. Then the three of them headed to the meeting room where they would wait for the meeting to start.
They opened the door to the meeting room, and headed towards their seats. The seats were arranged in order of seniority except for Gohan, whose seat was next to the directors. Director Rally walked in and said, �Hello everyone. I have called this meeting because we have information that tells us that we can permanently close of Nemesis.� Gohan asked, �How is that possible? The gates closed but there are small openings all over the world.� Rally replied, �I will let Lebia explain in more detail.� Before Lebia could say anything, Yuki sensed a strong power. Rally and Gohan looked at her and asked, �What is it Yuki?� Yuki replied, �I just sensed a strong power.� Katsumi asked, �Is it Lucifer Hawk?� Yuki answered, �Yes, but I don�t sense any malice in it. It is giving me the feeling I get when I am around you, Gohan, and Rally.� Rally said, �I see. Perhaps someone else despises their dark past. We will worry about that later, our focus needs to be the meeting at hand.� Gohan replied, �Rally�s right. Since the Lucifer Hawk seems to have no malice, we should focus on the meeting.� The power that Yuki sensed was nether human nor Lucifer Hawk. It was the ghost of Ganossa. His spirit was stopping by to check on Rally and Gohan. Ganossa�s spirit when he died was traumatized and was not able to peacefully leave Rally behind. The spirit is now going to follow Rally until it can find peace. Lebia got up and said, �Could someone please dim the lights? Gohan is right about there being openings to Nemesis all around the world. This is one of the reasons it is going to take so long to close. If you would look at the first slide, you will see something that looks like an electron disrupter. It works by creating a energy field around the opening, and once that field is touched by a Lucifer Hawk, it turns the Lucifer Hawk basically into a cork.� Katsumi asked, �Couldn�t the Lucifer Hawk be removed from the hole?� Lebia replied, �Yes, but if you would look at the second slide, you will see that we would create a magical barrier around the Lucifer Hawk. That barrier is only dangerous to Lucifer Hawks. Any that touch it become part of the wall.� Gohan asked, �How do we know that the barrier won�t break?� Lebia replied, �That is what we are trying to find out. It is being tested and if all goes well, it should be ready for use in about three to six years.� Kiddy said, �That�s fine and dandy, but what are we to do until then?� Gohan replied, �What do you think? We will have to fight the Lucifer Hawk until then.� Rally said, �That is true, and this ends the meeting. I expect everyone to be here in the morning until then you are free to do whatever you please.� As everyone left the meeting, Lum Chang chased after Gohan to talk more about the training she would endure.
Once Lum caught up to Gohan and Yuki, she said, �I thought we were going to talk more about my training.� Gohan replied, �Sorry it slipped my mind. What do you want to know?� Lum said, �Will this training really help me become a better fighter?� Gohan answered, �Not only that, but you will learn more about your powers and how to master Jeezo.� Lum asked, �When will the training start? I am really eager to learn more.� Gohan said, �Yuki, go home on your own tonight. I am going to start with the basics tonight with Lum.� Yuki replied, �Don�t overdo it ok.� Gohan said, �Don�t worry, I just think she needs to know about the power inside her. Well see you in the morning.� Yuki replied, �Goodnight and see you later.� They hugged each other and then went in different ways. Gohan said, �I am going to let Chief Isozaki know that you are going to start training with us.� Lum Chang asked, �Is that really necessary?� Gohan answered, �Yes, I just didn�t want to surprise her tomorrow when you show up, that�s all.� Lum guessed Gohan was right. They both went to Mana�s office. Gohan knocked on the door and Mana said, �It�s open� Lum and Gohan walked in. Mana said, �Hello Gohan, Lum Chang. Is there something you need?� Gohan replied, �I have convinced Lum that she needs to train like I have been. She is going to show up tomorrow for training.� Mana said, �That is a great idea. How were you able to get her to agree?� Lum said, �He told me that I needed training and need to show more self control.� Gohan replied, �That�s about it.� Mana said, �I see. Well I�m glad that you are going to join us. I will see you two early tomorrow, so go and get some sleep.� They nodded even though Gohan was going to explain to Lum about her powers. They left the office for Lum�s room since she was still living at the station, they didn�t have far to go.
After Lum Chang and Gohan entered the room, Gohan pulled up a chair and said, �I am going to explain the type of power you have.� Lum asked, �What good will that do.� Gohan answered, �It is going to show you your potential. I know it sounds trivial, but after I learned I was part Lucifer Hawk, I wanted to know how to control this power to help people. Do you understand?� Lum replied, �I guess, but you know I have no Lucifer Hawk in me.� Gohan said, �Yes, I know that. Most of your power comes from the Wong family. Your grandfather is one of last living sorcerers. So it is no surprise that you are able to use the Jeezo. He was the last one that mastered it but he has gotten to old to fight, so he chose you to fight for him.� Lum asked, �Is that true and how do you know so much?� Gohan answered, �I learned it from Rally. She was the one who gave me guidance after I found out I was part Lucifer Hawk. Rally was the one who helped me get a job working with the mobile division.� Lum said, �So you are telling me that Rally told all that to you, but why?� Gohan replied, �She knew that a day would come that I would be training you, but she didn�t expect it to be this soon.� Lum said, �You were eventually going to train me? Why did you wait to tell me?� Gohan answered, �Two reasons, one was I needed time to learn more about my powers first. Two is I wanted you to grow up a little and learn that each member is important to the team. I now see that you have matured enough to go through training.� Lum looked flustered at that comment. Although she didn�t want to admit it, she had never thought of herself as a team player. Gohan�s words made her think that being part of a team was important. Gohan said, �Hey, you going to say something?� Lum said, �Sorry, I was just thinking about what you said. I guess it�s time to start acting like a team player.� Gohan said, �Good, you have passed the first lesson before we even started training.� Lum was confused and said, �You mean that the first thing I was going to do for training is admit that I need to be a team player?� Gohan replied, �No, just saying that you will become a team player is all. Besides, there a few people I would want backing me up, and you are one of them because your heart is pure.� Lum was still confused, �What is that supposed to mean?� Gohan answered, �If you sense danger, you are not afraid to jump into battle. And about your pure heart, I see that your intentions are always true.� Lum said, �I never thought of it that way before.� Gohan looked at his watch and saw it was getting late. He said, �Lum, we need to get some sleep so we are at our peak tomorrow. Meet me in front in the morning and I will show you to the training area.� Gohan started to leave, before he got out the door, Lum said, �Thank you and goodnight.� Gohan turned around and said, �See you in the morning and goodnight.� He left the room and headed for another one of the crew�s quarters since it was so late.
As Gohan walked into the room, he thought to himself, its been a long time since I�ve slept here. I guess it was going to happen again but I didn�t expect it to be now. He looked around and saw a TV in the corner. He decided to see if anything was on worth watching. The first channel he changed to had his favorite anime series, Samurai X. The next thing he heard was a voice saying, �That was always your favorite show.� Gohan looked around but no one was there. Gohan said, �Get out of my mind whoever you are.� The next thing he saw was the ghost of Ganossa in the room. Gohan said, �I thought you died!!� Ganossa replied, �I did. But there is some unfinished business I need to see through.� Gohan asked, �What business is that?� Ganossa answered, �Since I am no longer bound by Nemesis, I figured that helping close the gates would be the right thing to do after all the pain and suffering that I have caused.� Gohan replied, �I will have to trust you. It was good seeing you again. How long are you going to hang around here?� Ganossa said, �I will be watching all of you until the day comes that you need my help. Until then this is goodbye.� With that said, he vanished just the same as he appeared. Gohan then started thinking that he was seeing things because he was so tired. He decided that it would be better if he went to sleep rather than watching TV. He was quickly asleep.
By the time morning came, Gohan had forgotten about the visitor he had the night before. Remembering the He had told Lum Chang that she was to meet him in front, Gohan got dressed and headed out of the room. He didn�t even take two steps and heard, �Took you long enough.� Gohan turned around and there stood Lum. He asked, �How long have you been waiting?� Lum answered, �About an hour.� Gohan said, �I guess you were anxious to start training. I really can�t blame you. Have you taken time to get loosened up?� Lum replied, �You should know me by now, I always loosen up in the mornings.� Gohan said, �I forgot about that. Anyway, we need to head to the training room.� Lum said, �I know where it is, you really don�t need to show me where it is.� Gohan replied, �The training room you are thinking of is a different training room. The one we are going to be using only a few people know about. It is located twenty feet below the surface.� Lum asked, �Why is it so deep?� Gohan answered, �Simple, that was the best way to damper the sounds from that room.� Lum said, �Then its like a sound proof training room.� Gohan replied, �Exactly. It was created for Katsumi and I to train without disturbing anyone, but it could be used by anyone.� Gohan then started towards the elevator. Lum asked, �Where are you going? There isn�t an elevator that way.� The elevator to that training room is actually behind the vending machines. Gohan said, �There is a hidden elevator over here.� He punched the numbers on the machine and it slid out of the way, revealing the elevator. Lum was surprised and she said, �Wow! I didn�t know this was here.� Gohan replied, �I�m not surprised, most people don�t know about this. Do me one favor, keep this a secrete.� Lum�s response was, �Not to worry, my lips are sealed.� Gohan said, �Good. Lets not keep Mana waiting any longer.� They entered the elevator and headed down to the secrete training room.
Once the elevator stopped, Lum and Gohan entered the training room. Lum was looking around in amazement because of how large the room is. Lum said, �This place is amazing.� Gohan laughed and said, �What, this is just the entrance, the training room is even better than this.� Lum replied, �You mean that this is not the training room.� Gohan answered, �No, this is just the entrance along with a place to rest after training.� Lum was so surprised that a facility existed like this that she didn�t know about. The then entered the training room. Gohan looked around and said, �Forgive the mess. I hadn�t had time to clean it up since the last time I was hear.� Lum replied, �Don�t worry. Having obstacles around while training gives it more the feel of real life situations.� Gohan said, �That is true but it does not simulate the combat we face.� They heard a voice, �Are you two going to stand around all day or are you going to train?� Gohan said, �Sorry, Chief. I was just explaining some things to Lum Chang that�s all.� Mana replied, �I know that, but it could have waited.� Gohan said, �Your right. What shall we start with?� Mana said, �Summon Mesume and then power it up.� Gohan had mastered the summoning of the sword, but was still building his strength to power up the sword. As he started to power the blade, Mana said, �Stop, that is as far as you can go now.� Gohan asked, �What do you mean? I haven�t even started raising the power.� Mana replied, �That isn�t possible. If that is true, you have mastered the sword in one week.� Gohan said, �The me strike down a target, and then we will know if I have mastered the sword.� Mana replied, �Very well. Lum you need to come up here for the time being.� Lum answered, �You don�t have to tell me twice.� Gohan said, �Let�s go for battle program 2.� Mana asked, �Are you sure?� Gohan answered, �I don�t think it will be a problem.� Lum looked at Mana and said, �He seems serious and I can agree with him. He seems to be improving every second.� Mana replied, �Perhaps you are right. Gohan don�t strain yourself.� Gohan nodded. Mana went into the control room and started the program that Gohan asked for. As soon as the program started, Gohan went for the first target. His movements were almost to fast to be seem. Lum looked at Mana and asked, �Has he always been that quick?� Mana answered, �No, I have never seen anything or anyone that fast.� Gohan struck the target with precision and speed, by the time he was done with that target he was waiting for the next one to appear. He was able to finish the run in twenty five seconds. When Gohan finished, Mana asked, �How do you feel?� Gohan answered, �I feel like I did before we started.� Mana replied, �This means that your training is complete. I will now leave Lum Chang�s training in your hands.� Gohan said, �Yes mam. I will not let you down.� Mana replied, �I expect you to ask for help if you need it. And Lum do what he asks you to do.� Lum said, �Don�t worry. He has already taught me some things.� Mana replied, �Good to hear and good luck.� Mana left them to train. Lum asked, �Gohan, where should we start.� Gohan answered, �I really don�t know. I think the best way to start is simple sword battle. I had planned on this so I had Mana put some fencing equipment down here.� Lum replied, �Sounds like you looked ahead for when this was going to happen. Anyway, where is the gear?� Gohan said, �In the lockers in the control room. The changing rooms are also there.� Gohan and Lum went to the control room to get changed and ready for the first day of training.
Gohan was the first one out after changing. He started to wonder what was taking Lum so long. He went to the other changing room and knocked on the door. Gohan asked, �Are you changed yet?� Lum replied, �Yes, but I look like a dork.� Gohan laughed and said, �Don�t worry about it, the padding is just for protection and isn�t made for style.� Lum replied, �Do you promise not to laugh when you see me.� Gohan said, �I won�t. I remember the first time I wore this gear.� Lum finally came out from the changing room. Gohan looked at her and said, �It doesn�t look that bad. Actually, it makes you look cuter than normal.� Lum replied, �You serious. I guess you�re right.� Gohan said, �See I told you it wasn�t that bad.� Lum asked, �Will we be using the helmets?� Gohan answered, �No, there isn�t going to be any shoots to the head. Do you understand?� Lum replied, �Yes sir.� Gohan said, �Just call me Gohan or instructor. I really don�t feel like a sir.� Lum then asked, �What is the next lesson going to be?� Gohan answered, �How about tactics and how to find the enemies openings during an attack.� Lum replied, �Sounds good.� Gohan said, �I am going to come at you and you tell me where I am left open for an attack.� Lum asked, �You aren�t going to hit me are you?� Gohan answered, �No, I will not strike you. So don�t worry about it.� Lum readied herself for the attack. The first attack was a head on strike. Lum said, �There is no area open for attack.� Gohan said, �Think about it, no attack is perfect. They all leave the attacker open to some kind of attack.� Lum thought about it and the said, �You need to attack after dodging the attack.� Gohan said, �Correct. You use the speed of the attacker against him.� Next Gohan went with the attack from overhead. Lum said, �The attacker is open at the legs. If you take out either leg the attacker will not be able to fight back.� Gohan replied, �Very observant. And the attack to the legs will only stop human�s but only slow down the Lucifer Hawk. So always remember that.� Next Gohan went for the diagonal attack. Lum said, �The attacker is open from the bottom. Although you might not land a blow you can block their attack.� Gohan replied, �That is correct, but there is also a chance you could get hurt blocking the attack so be careful.� Finally Gohan attacked horizontally. Lum said, �The attackers weak side is opposite of the way they are attacking. It is possible to dodge the attack, then to attack from behind.� Gohan replied, �Correct, it�s a slim margin but it can be an attack that is easily countered. I was surprised that you were able to locate the weak points so easily. Why do you struggle in a real battle?� Lum answered, �I don�t think before entering a fight. I just want to end it as quick as possible.� Gohan said, �From now on I want you to think before entering into a fight.� Lum responded, �Ok.� Gohan said, �Let�s take a break, and when we start back we can have a fight.� Lum�s response was, �Break for what? I am ready to go right now.� Gohan answered, �To get something to eat. There is some food in the other room.� Lum said, �Great, I was starting to get hungry.� The made their way back through to the other room, where Gohan got the food. Once they finished eating, the went back into the main training room.
They entered the training room and Gohan asked, �Are you ready to begin?� Lum answered, �Ready and excited.� Gohan replied, �Good. Be prepared because I�m not going to hold anything back.� Lum said, �Fine, I wont hold back either.� Gohan said, �Good, this could get interesting. One more thing to remember, in battle never let you emotions take over. It will cause you to make a fatal mistake. Battles are usually won or lost because of emotions.� Lum responded, �Got it. Lets begin.� Gohan said, �Be warned that the blades won�t cut but still hurt when you get hit. Now begin.� Gohan made the first move. Lum was able to block the attack. Gohan said, �Looks like you are using strategy. Keep it up.� Lum started to attack Gohan�s legs but he saw it and countered but doing a back flip out of the way. Gohan said, �Also remember that some enemies are going to be more agile than others.� Lum replied, �Got it.� Gohan then charged at Lum starting a horizontal attack. When Lum tried to block it, she missed and Gohan landed a blow on Lum�s legs knocking her down. Lum said, �That hurt.� Gohan replied, �I told you it would. Let me help you get up. What happened, you were doing fine till then.� Lum answered, �I had a laps in concentration.� Gohan said, �At least you know what you did. I think that is enough training for one day.� Lum replied, �Good, I was starting to get tired.� Gohan said, �I can tell. You are free to do whatever you want until tomorrow. I expect you to meet me in front in the morning for day 2 of training.� Lum replied, �I will be here early in the morning.� They got changed and went in different directions.
Gohan decided to go tell Rally of their progress. As he was heading towards Rally�s office, Nami stopped him and said, �Yuki wanted me to tell you that she is going to be at the coffee shop this afternoon.� Gohan replied, �Thanks, I will head there after I give a report to Rally. And try not to work to hard.� She said, �A lot of people tell me that, I guess I do have tendency to push myself to much. Good luck with the report.� Gohan replied, �Thanks. See you later.� Gohan reached Rally�s office and knocked on the door. Rally said, �It�s open.� Gohan opened the door and Rally said, �Hello Gohan, how did today�s training go?� Gohan replied, �Surprisingly well. Lum was quick on her feet, she was also able to find the week point of the attack quickly. Only if she could be as focused in a real battle. I think if she could, she would make the AMP that much stronger.� Rally said, �That�s good to here. Perhaps in time she will learn to control herself more. And when that day comes, the AMP will be officially the strongest police division in the fight against the Lucifer Hawk.� Gohan replied, �I hope that you are right. I don�t want to push her too far, so please don�t tell her about this meeting.� Rally replied, �Understood, I too understand the situation.� AS Gohan was leaving her office he said, �Remember our promise.� She reiterated that she would keep her promise. Rally thought to herself that Gohan seems to be able to control Lum better than anyone else, and at this rate he might be able to keep her calm on the battle field. Then Rally called Chief Isozaki into her office. When Mana got there she asked, �What to you want to tell me?� Rally answered, �From now on, make sure that Gohan and Lum have the same assignments. He seems to be able to control her aggression. And what ever you do, don�t tell her why she is assigned with Gohan.� Mana replied, �Understood.�
As Gohan was walking from Rally�s office, he remembered that he promised to go see Yuki when he finished his report. He rushed to the main office, where everyone had a work station. To his surprise, Yuki was not there. Gohan asked, �Where�s Yuki?� Nami stopped cleaning and answered, �She told my, to tell you that she was leaving early to go open her coffee shop.� Gohan then asked, �Is that all?� Nami thought about it then answered, �No, but I think she wants you to stop by.� Gohan replied, �I was planning on going there anyway.� Lebia then said, �If you hurry you can catch up with her.� Gohan said, �Thanks you two, I�m going to try and catch her before she gets too far.� As Gohan was leaving he heard Katsumi saying, �Wait up, I want to go to.� Gohan replied, �Sorry, but I want to talk to Yuki in private.� Katsumi said, �I see, well it sounds important, so I guess I will catch you two later, and Gohan good luck.� Gohan replied, �I don�t know what that means but thanks.� He then took off after Yuki. It didn�t take him long to catch up to her. Gohan said, �Wait up!� Yuki turned around and replied, �Hi, Gohan. I�m glad you came after me.� Yuki then asked, �How did it go?� Gohan answered, �It went remarkably well. At this rate her training will be done in two weeks.� Yuki replied, �That�s good to know. Lum is going to be a big part of the team once her training is finished.� As they walked on, they continued to discuss how Lum�s training went.
The farther they walked the more Gohan�s stomach began to churn from nervousness. Gohan finally said, �The reason I came after you was to ask you a question.� Yuki stopped and looked at him and asked, �So, what do you want to ask?� Gohan answered, �I�ve been thinking about this for some time. It seems that every time I have wanted to ask you this, I always seem to struggle with how I want to ask.� Yuki said, �That didn�t answer what I asked.� Gohan replied, �I know, but like I said before I have problems with what I want to ask you.� Yuki said, �That�s ok. Maybe between here and the coffee shop you will be able to ask me what you want.� Gohan thought to himself, I really blew it that time. At least I got farther than I have in the past. Yuki also started thinking to herself. I wish he would go ahead and ask me. I know he is worried about my answer but there is no one else I want to be with. Yuki already knows what Gohan is going to ask because of one of her visions. The more Gohan thought about it the worse he felt. He finally said, �I guess this will have to wait a little longer.� Yuki replied, �Take as long as you think necessary. I want you to be happy with the way you ask.� They continued walking and Gohan didn�t say anything, at least not until they got to the coffee shop.
Once they were inside the coffee shop, Yuki said, �Gohan, you sure have been quiet.� Gohan replied, �I know, its because I was thinking of how to ask you my question.� Yuki, with a smile said, �Like I said before take as much time as you want. Eventually the right words will come to you like they always do.� Gohan said, �Thanks. You�re right as always. This is something I don�t want to screw up, so I guess I will take more time to contemplate the question.� That was the last they mentioned Gohan�s question that night, but they were not done talking. Gohan said, �Why don�t you make a cup of your best coffee.� Yuki replied, �I already have it started. I figured you would want some since you came with me.� Gohan said, �You seem to be getting to know me pretty good.� Yuki replied, �I should considering that we have been together almost a year now.�
