Black Oxide

Black Oxide Coating is a cost effective method of blackening the surface of many different metal substrates. Black Oxide Coatings do not effect the hardness or dimensional characteristics of the finished part. No metal is removed or deposited during the coating process, the substrate is converted chemically.

Black Oxide coatings are available for Cold Roll Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass, Copper and Zinc Die Cast. Corrosion resistance is gained through a supplemental preservative treatment utilizing oil or wax. Both barrel and rack processing are available.
