Bonner Runs Away With Final Race

Geoff Bonner would nail the pole with a 159.022mph effort clocked in at 30.924 seconds. He would be the only driver to crack the 159 mph barrier.
The first caution flag would come during the first circuit when the Maxwell car of John Agnew would get loose entering turn 3.
The restart would be short lived by another quick caution when Geoff Bonner would get loose exiting turn 4. With no place to go Scott Scrimgeour would nail the Bulls-eye machine in the driver door. Ralph Colford would take over the lead.
Things would get real racey on lap 14 when Bonner would make a move on Colford heading into turn 1. The two cars would touch sending the 90 machine loose allowing Colford's Hardees machine to regain the lead before exiting turn 2.
The third caution of the night would occur on lap 15 when Bonner would get loose off turn 4 and lose it again. This time the Valvoline car of Carman Schwartz would have no place to go nailing the Bulls-eye car again in the drivers side door.
On the restart of lap 18, race leader Colford would get a black flag for jumping the start. As the Hardees machine prepared to serve the penalty, John Agnew would lose it heading into turn 3 for the second time of the night. Although Colford would continue to try and serve the black flag, NASCAR would send the 29 machine to the garage for the on lap 23.
Carman Schwartz would take over the point position and lead the next nine laps before Scott Scrimgeour would begin to apply pressure and pass the Valvoline machine heading through turns 1 and 2.. 
Just a few laps later Scrimgeour would get his Skoal machine bent out of shape heading out of turn 2 allowing Mullin and Bonner to cruise by and assume the lead. By lap 34 Mullin would surrender the lead to the much faster fellow Ford driver Bonner. 
On lap 51 the leaders would make green flag pits stops. Scott Scrimgeour would get caught speeding removing him from the picture while Bonner would make a text book pit stop getting out of the pits long before the Havoline machine of Mullin.
With tires fading on the 28 car, Bonner would slip away to score the win with the help of lap driver Agnew. It would be Bonners second win in the series.
