Chapter 34
Babe are you ready yet? I yelled to Shane who was standing in the bathroom fixing his hair. He walked out, wearing a pair of Docker Khakis and a white button down dress shirt. He had the sleeves rolled halfway up his arms. Finally I huffed, picking my purse up off the table. Shane didnt find my prodding as funny as I did haha he said sarcastically. I playfully smacked him on the butt and gave myself one more look in the mirror. Cmon Hmiel I said, walking out the door.
Tyler and Tiff were waiting down in the lobby for us. Tyler had the look of impatience spread across his face. Hey sorry we are late, you know how long it takes girls to get ready Shane said, noticing his brothers attitude. Uh NO! I said, rolling my eyes, shocked that Shane would even imply that it was my fault we were late. Ty, you live with him. You know the real reason we are late I said, mockingly. Tyler chuckled as we all headed towards the casino.
Shane quickly made his way to the craps table, something he had been talking about since before we left North Carolina. New Roller the dealer yelled, handing Shane the dice. Blow me I heard Shane say as I ordered a drink from the waitress. I turned and looked at him wide eyed. Shane smirked, seeing my expression as a result of his comment. He held up the dice and winked at me. Smirking, I blew on the dice and watched as Shane threw them across the table. Seven the dealer yelled. Im going to the slots I said, after Shane threw a few more winning rolls. He put on a pouty face a moved in to my ear. But you are my good luck charm he whined. I smiled and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek be good I said before walking off.
Tiff and I made our way across the casino and parked it in front of a pair of side by side slots. I set the bucket of quarters in between us and started to play. So how is everything with you and Tyler? I asked, realizing that I hadnt spoken to her in awhile. Everything is great! He has been so attentive to me. She said, smiling from ear to ear. I chuckled when she turned the tables What about you and Shane? she asked, her grin turning into a sly smirk. We are good; this weekend should be good for us. Away from all of the court stuff ya know? I asked rhetorically. Tiff nodded and bit her bottom lip, something I had learned she did often when she had something on her mind. What is it? I asked, pulling the lever on the slot. Nothing she said, still chewing on her lip like a puppy with a tennis ball. Tiff I said, cocking my eyebrow. Nothing, I just was going to ask you if you think he is the one? she asked, paying close attention to the slot machine. I dont know, it isnt really something I have thought about I answered.
I thought about the last 3 months, everything between Shane and I had been going perfect. I smirked at the thought of everything he had done to make up for the whole Beth situation. You really love him dont you? Tiff asked, snapping me out of my daze. I nodded, lowering my head so she wouldnt see me blush. Oh and by the way. I dont believe that you havent thought about it. But anyways, if he asked you what would you say? she asked. If who asked what? Shane asked, walking up behind us. Nothing I quickly answered, slipping another quarter in the slot. Tiff and I laughed as the boys looks turned to ones of confusion. Shane took the seat next to me and placed his hand on my thigh. Yall about ready to cash out? he asked. I nodded Let me finish up these credits I answered.

Tiff and I waited as the guys cashed out their chips. We parted ways with Tyler and Tiff in the lobby and said our goodbyes. Shane had to race the next day and we both needed sleep.
Grabbing my hand, Shane and I walked through the lobby towards the elevators. Shane hit the button for our floor and walked back over to where I was standing. He stood behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, I intertwined my fingers with his and he rested his head on my shoulder. Did you have fun tonight? he asked, his breath sending chills down my spine. I nodded yeah I had a lot of fun I answered. I sighed, my head still flooded with the words that Tiff had asked me earlier. Was I really ready to settle down with Shane? I asked myself. The elevator door opened with a ding, snapping me out of my daze.
Shane grabbed my hand and gave me a devilish smirk. He pulled me into the elevator and pushed me up against the wall. Smiling he pulled my arms up above my head and started feathering kisses down my neck. I let out a slight moan as his lips continued sending chills through my body. Shane huffed when he felt the elevator stop. The door opened and a random couple walked inside. They hit the button for the floor right above Shane and I. I straightened myself cautiously as not to hint at the scene that had just taken place.
The elevator seemed like it took forever, even though our room was only on the 5th floor. The elevator halted and the doors opened. We walked into the hall and towards our room. I dug around in my purse for the key card to the room. Shanes hands trailing all around my body as his lips again attached to my neck. I quickly unlocked the door and pushed it open. Shane grabbed my waist and hurled me over his shoulder in a cave man like fashion. Hmiel! I squealed as he walked into the room. Shane only chuckled as he tossed me playfully on the bed. He walked across the bed on his knees, finally making his way over to me. He leaned down and pressed his lips softly to mine. Baby I love you so much he whispered before he trailed kisses down my neck. Shane reached up and turned off the light, pulling his shirt off before he made his way back down to me. |
