| Disclaimer: I do not know/own anything or one connected to NASCAR. This is a work of fiction loosely based on a reality show; any resemblance to actual events is purely coincidence. Angel owns the characters of Jodi, Dan, and all other unrecognized characters, and the storyline. She looked off to the west and watched the sun set behind the distant mountains. The air was starting to cool. She was glad she had her grandmas shawl to keep her warm. She glanced down to see the fading sun reflect off her charm bracelet. Too bad her feet werent as lucky. Her toes were cramped in a new pair of high heels and the cold ground was causing them to go numb. She shuffled around a bit and let out a soft sigh. This drew the attention of the entire crew. She felt the blush in her cheeks. Nervous? Dan asked. Nervous? Nah. What do I have to be nervous about? Im just standing here waiting the arrival of my soul mate. Isnt that how the promos go? She smirks and shuffles her feet some more, Just wish this was the start of spring rather than winter. Well your bachelors couldnt do spring. Winter is the only time they have available. Youve mentioned that before. Just who are these guys anyway? Why dont you turn around and watch who they are. The first car is coming up now. Dan steps away from Jodi. The camera crew gets into position to capture her expression when the identities are revealed. Jodi takes a deep breath and reminds herself even though shes here to find the man of her life, she isnt gonna get her hopes up. She thought about her last book, and her heroines reference to dating being like a race. Sometimes you take the checkers; sometimes you get a top five, and sometimes you DNF. Lately, Jodi was racking up more DNFs than any other finishes. She sighs again thinking about not having a race to watch for 3 long months. She prayed that at least one of these men knew what racing was all about and more to the point what NASCAR was. The first car pulls up and the driver opens the door. This is it, thinks Jodi, Surely outta 25 eligible men I can find one that I wanna be with. The first bachelor sets out. He smiles and walks up to her. Jodis eyes go wide and her jaw drops. Jodi, may I introduce you to your first bachelor. Kasey Kahne. Dan says in his official host voice. Hi Jodi. Im looking forward to getting to know you. Kasey, blushing, shakes her hand and smiles shyly. He moves on into the house. Jodi watches him walk through the door and is totally shocked. Uh, Jodi. Jodi, may I introduce your next bachelor? Greg Biffle. Martin Truex. Robby Gordon. Shane Hmiel. Jimmie Johnson. Brendan Gaughan. Elliott Sadler. Jon Wood. Kurt Busch. Tony Stewart. Brian Vickers Casey Mears. David Stremme. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Larry Foyt. Billy Parker. Paul Menard. Jeff Gordon. Steve Park. Kyle Busch. Carl Edwards. Jamie McMurray. Johnny Sauter. Casey Atwood. Jodis head was swimming by the time all twenty five bachelor/drivers were introduced to her. If she wasnt nervous 2 hours ago before this all started, she sure was now. She would be spending the next 3 weeks with 25 of the hottest and most eligible men of NASCAR. Nervous? Dan smirked at her this time. Dan, to quote Larry Mac. Driver, reach up and pull those belts tight one last time cuz were about to go green! NEXT HOME |
