�Hey� Brian said as he opened the door. �I really don�t know how it is that you can talk me into almost anything!� Manda said laughing. Brian grabbed her by the waist and pushed her up against the wall. He covered her mouth with his, but Manda pushed him away �Bri, gimme a bit I have a headache and I just took some aspirin�. Brian agreed and started walking towards the couch, Mandy followed him. He sat down and pulled Mandy down onto his lap �Babe, i'm glad that we decided to try this relationship thing. I am really enjoying our time together� Brian said as he laid a soft kiss onto Mandy�s neck. Mandy looked down at Brian and looked into his eyes. She noticed how she happy he was, she softly brushed her hand across his cheek and kissed him on the lips. Brian put his hand on the back of her head to deepen the kiss but they were quickly interrupted when someone knocked on the door.
�Food�s here� Brian said as Manda stood up. Brian paid for the Pizza and went into the kitchen. He grabbed two paper plates and two cans of coke.
He placed the pizza box on the coffee table and handed Manda her drink.
They both grabbed a slice and settled into the couch. Brian hit the play button on the remote.

�I am stuffed� Mandy said as she laid her head in Brian�s lap �me too� Brian said, quietly stroking Amanda�s hair.

Amanda woke up and looked at the clock� 2 a.m. she thought to herself. She tried to roll back over and go to sleep but it was no use. Amanda gathered up her things and pulled out a slip of paper from her purse.
Brian,
Couldn�t sleep, needed to get work done anyways. Call me tomorrow

Once she was satisfied with what she wrote, she walked out the door and locked it behind her. The streets were almost empty, with the exception of the few cars coming home from the night before. Manda passed Jimmie�s house and noticed that all the lights were on. �Ill hafta ask Chandra what they were up to� she said, chuckling to herself.
Manda stopped at a red light and turned the radio up. �Who�s your daddy? Who�s your baby? Who�s your buddy?� she sang to herself. The light turned green and she hit the gas.

�Hello?� Brian said groggily into the phone. �Mr. Vickers?� the female voice on the other end of the phone asked. �Yeah� Brian answered looking at the clock. �2:45� he said to himself. �This is Dr. Morrow from Kindred Hospital. I am calling about Amanda Nichols. There has been an accident.� Brian sat up and looked at the bed next to him, until that moment he didn�t even realize that she wasn�t next to him. �Is she ok?� he managed to say, his voice just above a whisper. �When can you be here?� the doctor asked avoiding his question.
Brian hung up the phone and got dressed quickly. He was running out the door and noticed Manda�s note. He read it as he was slamming the door behind him. �God Mandy why couldn�t you just stay here?� he said aloud to himself, the tears running down his face.
