I have been doing a little bit of research in regards to the disclaimers for posting stories within the group and within the website. I am taking the liberty of changing the rules of posting a little bit, because as the owner of the website and moderator of both the group and message board I do not want to be shut down because of legal issues, we've come way to far with this group to be shut down and frankly I don't have the money to go to court. So please bear with me and Mel I am sorry to have to do more rules than we originally discussed. As stated in the link (please view this link as well I found that it had a few interesting points and the authors research proves interesting) below it is within our best legal and ethical interests that we have proper disclaimers. I will be updating the rules on the website and posting them on here and the site and the rules that are already stated on the site will be revised. Please everyone try to have a disclaimer so that we can continue to enjoy each others fiction and friendships. I look forward to hearing and comments that you may have regarding this issue. Below are the changes to the rules.
4) DISCLAIMERS MUST STATE THE FOLLOWING:
a)MUST state ownership of all fictional characters
b)MUST state that the story is fictional and of your own creation
c)MUST state that you are in no way involved with the real characters in the story.
d)You MUST list the real characters that are used in the story at the beginning of each chapter.
Constructive Criticism are more then welcome and aloud, however, if you are found to be criticizing ANY members this will lead to an immediate disbandment from NASCAR FAN FICTION
