Rusty was in a good mood on Saturday. As he walked through the garage area, someone called his name for him to come by the fence we were standing behind to sign autographs, and he looked at us and raised his arm, gesturing "one moment" with hand. He walked into his Featherlite garage trailer. We thought Rusty was leading us on. He wouldn't be back. About 5 minutes later, he came out of his trailer, looked over at us, and pointed to a gate. He started walking toward it - we all walked/ran very quickly to meet him. Sure enough, he came out and mingled with us fans for a while, signing for everyone (though there was only about 5 or 6 of us there!). Then he headed for his coach in the parking lot. Thanks Rusty, for meeting us fans!

Here, the track worker let Rusty drive the cart back to the garage gate, where he skidded to a stop and almost took me out.
