In a matter of hours, the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri will be filled to the very rafters with fans, eagerly anticipating the six year anniversary edition of Friday Night Fever. For the superstars, its a night that has been a long time coming. What they will do later on will not only thrill the masses, but it will elevate their careers to a whole new level. For one of those stars, its pretty much do or die. For this star, this night means more to her than any in her professional career. If she doesnt prove herself tonight, sooner or later, she is going to snap. There comes a point when you get sick and tired of hearing everyone say that youre not worth a damn, that youll never amount to anything here and that you dont stand a chance. After a while of hearing that kind of talk, it drives you to prove your critics wrong. It drives you to perform at your very best. But most of all, it drives you to go out and silence your biggest critic once and for all. In the case of Faith DeLuca, the match she will take part in tonight against Jason Talbot will be the turning point in her GDW career. If she is going to finally overcome the obstacle known as Jason Talbot and claim the Fever TV title, shes going to have to pull out all the stops. Who knows? After tonight, the world may bear witness to a new side of Faith. Tonight, she is determined to make a name for herself. It all starts with one Jason Talbot.
The locker room is silent, perhaps the only silent corner of the usually hectic backstage area. Inside, we see only a couple of lamps light, making for a somewhat intimate setting. Standing in the corner, going through some stretches to loosen up her muscles before her match, is none other than Faith DeLuca. The first thing to take notice of, other than her focused expression, is her attire. Gone is the sparkly pink and black attire she normally wears. Instead, she is wearing a pair of black leather pants and a matching black halter top. As she stretches her arms above her head, she speaks out in a low tone.
{The Full Bodied Italian Faith DeLuca}The more things happen, the more they stay the same. It seems like no matter where I go or no matter who I talk to, they are quick to point out my track record here in the GDW, more specifically against you, Jason Talbot. Do you have ANY idea how sick and tired I am of hearing people tell me that I dont stand a chance against you? Do you know what hearing that line of crap week in and week out does to ones psyche? It sucks, let me tell you. But the more that I sat and thought about what everyone, yourself included, has spouted off about, the more amused I became. If the critics would only see what I see, if they would only see you for what you really and truly are, Talbot. You are nothing more than a fraud, a paper champion if you will. You walk around here, acting as if you are Gods gift to professional wrestling. Your whole attitude about this contest is eventually going to lead to your downfall. Ive said it time and time again, but since you are so thick headed, Ill say it again. The cardinal rule of this business is to NEVER, and I emphasize NEVER underestimate your opponent. They could end up and pulling one over on you, which is what I fully intend on doing later tonight.
{The Full Bodied Italian Faith DeLuca} Talbot, Im ready for you. Im eady for whatever you could possibly throw at me. Im ready to take you to the limits and back again. Do you think Im going to let a little thing like scaffolding get in the way of what is rightfully mine? HELL no! Do you think for one second that I am scared of heights, like you seem to have embedded in your peabrain? Absolutely not. Ive been around worse matches than this one, so its really going to be fun to participate in. Well, its going to be fun for me, anyway. It will give me great pleasure throwing you from the scaffolding, watching you smash into things on your way down. But the icing on the cake Talbot, will be when the referee raises MY hand in victory and awards me MY title. I am going to make you regret the day you started to doubt me. I am going to make you regret the day you set foot in the GDW. And if Im really lucky, I am going to make you regret the day you were born. This is my time to shine, Jason, not yours. You and the rest of the Illumnati are going to crumble before the worlds eyes. Face it, Jason. Youre history, washed up, done, caput, finished. This thing weve had going to a while now.it ends tonight. I want you to look at yourself in the mirror, then look at your precious title. I want you to look long and hard because after tonight, neither will be the same.
Faith lets out a small laugh as she goes about her stretches, seemingly more focused and determined than ever to not only win the match, but to possibly end the career of Jason Talbot.
