The Centerfold Cat
Quincy is my 10 year old part Himalayan and part Chocolate Point Siamese. I think that he TRULY thinks he is a human and not a cat! He is spoiled rotten and gets away with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING he does :-)
I have had him since he was 3 weeks old, so I think that he thinks I am his Mommy <G> When he was little, I used to rock him to sleep while he would lay with his head on my shoulder. He would sleep for hours if you would let him. At nite, he knew that it was bedtime, because all I have to do is pick him up and he will immediatley lay his head on my shoulder and I carry him upstairs. He used to sleep with me all the time. He would "hog" my pillow completely! But I didn't mind and I still don't when HE decides to sleep in Mommy's bed. He has become VERY independent like most cats do. They take a message and "get back with you"! He loves to be petted (as most cats do), when you stop petting him, he will very gently bite you as to say "don't stop, I want more". When I have been gone for a few hours, he "comes alive" when I come home. He has to be right where I am and won't leave me alone til' I give him my full undivided attention. My husband says that while I am gone, he NEVER hardly sees him. He likes to lay on the back of my office chair while I am working on my computer and will stay there for hours. We had him neutered a couple years ago, so he has really gained weight. But that just means there is more of him to love <G> He weighs 16.3 lbs. He is like my "third" child. He gives me "hugs". When I pick him up, he will lay his head against my head. I feel so LUCKY that he is MINE!
This is what Quincy does most days....Especially when he is being the "Guard Cat" LOL
