What you need to do to be a Registered Staff Member For NASA Bay Young Marines:

Complete Volunteer Registered Adult Application (VRAA)

All adults must complete VRAA and have it approved by Unit Commanding Officer and National Executive Director before working directly with Young Marines
All applicants must read the certification statement on page 3, print and sign their name, and date on the appropriate lines.
The acting unit commander must sign and date as the Unit CO.
Attach a 2-1/2 inch by 2-1/2 inch original color photo (head shot) in the box on the lower right of page 2.

Attach three (3) Letters of Character Reference, the letters must include:
     1. An Organizational or Personal Letterhead
     2. The date letter was signed
     3. The reference's daytime telephone number.
     4. Relationship with the applicant (i.e., pastor, supervisor, co-worker, personal friend, etc.).
     5. The reference's original signature.
     6. A check for $20.00 made out to NASA Bay Young Marines

If the applicant is a veteran or serving on active, reserve, or guard duty, the applicant must furnish the following:
1) Active Duty, Reserve-a copy of Military ID Card front and back. This is in addition to the original photo that must be placed on the lower right of page 2.
2) Veterans-a copy of Discharge from Military Service or copy of DD Form 214 or National/State Guard Equivalent.

       Give all paperwork to the unit Adjutant with a check for $20.00 (this      is for our yearly registration and insurance) made out to the unit.
       Please expect 3-4 weeks for approval from the National Young      Marine Head Quarters in Washington D.C.
       Please read the Youth Protection Act forms provided with your      packet or down load from your unit

This is a must know for our program: Start reading the Registered Adult Manual (R.A.M.) You can find this by going to www.YoungMarines.com then clicking on the Adult Leaders Link (in the left column), then clicking on Training and Education link. You will find the RAM half way down the page.
