A thousand miles

By Talmer Watts and Jean Flournoy

A thousand miles long

A thousand miles deep

You'll find the valley of my soul

Where my heart doth sow and reap

Shiny, black, coiled and cold

Tilled with a million spiders

In silence, in sacrifice, I was told

They weave a web so big, so strong, so bold.

Spiraling up then spiraling back down

On an axis of pain their anger well trained

They shatter hearts and leave broken destinies

Taken forcefully, now laying languidl, fears exposed.

Faith weighs heavy, much trouble, and much woe

Help moves like quicksand, your broken body in tow

Behind your mask splits a violent vertical scream

Creating dark voids upon your fleeing shadow it seems.

A thousand miles long, a thousand miles wide

You will find the labyrinth hidden deep inside

It is a place with no known path, no map or guide

Fading all remaining evidence of the illusion you once had.

A secret treasure of opportunity for you

When you rid your present beliefs,

Make straight a new runway....

..... your soul set free to fly.

Beyond definition...........

Tell me, what do you see?
