Pointless Sisters

I was told to get an interview of a old woman who was a songwriter back in the 50's.  How was I to know it would turn out to be a tale of misery. Ethel, a 76 year old Siamese twin used her creative mind to turn wine into vinegar in every situation encountered.

Tink, the other twin is a rotund pathetic whiner made it her quest to be the worlds most dedicated fan. Yes, Tink was Ehtel's best and only fan.

What was unusual about these Siamese twins is that they became attached when Ethel was 45  years of age and baby Tink 35 years of age. It is quite a site. Joined at the buttocks they watch each others back.

They protect each other from themselves with such failure one would say "if failure was gold they would be rich."

Ethel now old and sick saw everyone but herself as the cause of her demise. No one was safe from her scorn of defeat. All were to blame. Especially her two now grown children.

You see it was by Ethels reasoning  that it was because they were born  Ethel did not become a super famous star, thus preluding the children from any sort of redemption  from her....ever.

Any attempt to love her induced a cecity to her inefficiency and bad behavior. She never once acknowledged her own misprision

If Ethel talked it was only satisfy her deep need to complain, and complain she did. Tinker her psittaceous twin always took notes.

I asked Ethel what she thought of life. And   working up a panjandrum tone she replied ," life has a colorful  cast but I can't figure out the plot"

She was cold indeed, her motto was "Patience is counting down without blasting off"

When I asked Tinker what life was to her she said, "To live is so depressing, it leave little time for anything else"

*******

The motto of the story is

Resentment is one burden that is incompatible with your success.
