At the Abyss, Harris and Cassey discuss his need for a job. Nearby Jack and Indigo chat, during which he gives Indigo reason to believe the dark rumors she's heard about him. Indigo heads for the dance floor, while Jack eyes Cassey as she leaves with Harris.
Aya, Derakk and Briell move into their chosen 'sniper' perches while they await Jarl and Shin to move into sight. Jarl expects Shin to threaten him verbally to flush out the demon who would move to protect Jarl. Instead Shin starts to shoot at Jarl in a couple of close misses. Jarl takes cover behind a car, worried that Shin will be too exposed to the demon this way. The demon arrives as expected and Jarl manuevers so that he is between Shin and the demon. The beast is confused when Jarl tells Shin to stay behind him. The demon's hesitation gives the snipers a chance to get a shot at the beast's eyes and one manages to find the target. Unfortunately, before the beast dies, it strikes out at Jarl, killing him as well.
