The evening started slow as most evenings did. Asche was busy tinkering with a new defibrulator that mysteriously appeared and Erin was busy toting a stack of old case reports that directly caused her to run into the lobby desk and shower Asche with paper.
The wee bit of chaos ended in Erin admitting to Asche that the newly christened nurse was indeed studying up on psychology cases, hoping to find the key to treating a Union member who suffered memory lapses. Erin was hesitant to say who the Union member was, but Asche knew she spoke of Doc Hollidayy.
All this was forgotten when the Elliot Seven supercomputer alerted all staff that there was sniper (played by QuentariFB) taking random shots at the hospital. Several windows and several patients and Union staffers were injured and treated in the Hospital ER by Erin, Dr. Marshall Demoss and other Union nurses and medics.
Upstairs, Asche orchestrated the evacuation of the outer rooms and lounge areas. Patients were moved to interior rooms and so were hospital staffers.
On the street, the sniper continued to shoot at the hospital even after being shot in the chest himself by Aya, Shin's girlfriend. Derakk aided Aya and got off a few shots himself, but it seemed that after the initial injury, the sniper was holding the lucky cards. The shots missed, but the sniper also ran out of ammunition.
The sniper, in obvious pain from his wound, laughed with mouth open wide when Derakk asked him why he shot at the hospital. It was clear, even in the dark, the sniper could not answer for he had no tongue!
Derakk and Aya dragged the man to the hospital where the process of saving the man's life began. Whether he survived or not remains to be seen.
