Once again the Beanies were short of players (apparently the snow was good on the weekend!) but again the Beanies pulled together and dominated the game from kickoff. Natasha put a long ball through from the backline, Kristen ran onto it and scored in 7mins into the game. Kristen scored again 15mins later to put the Beanies ahead 2-0. In the second half Nat went into goals to give Kathy a run on the field - Kathy acknowledged this gesture by scoring the Beanies third goal. The Beanies defence with Georgia, Deb, Katrina & Tash was unbreakable, denying Manly Vale a look at the goal. The midfield and our sole striker worked extremely hard attacking the ball and pressuring Manly Vale's goalie.
A really great game and with all the girls playing superbly despite being short of players, playing in the heat and in a complete dust bowl!
The Ladies team is now progressing through to the semi-finals in a very tight, competitive and high quality competition. Well done to the whole team and Peter our coach!
