As the girls congregated before the match, there was a slight panic - not only were we missing our coach but we were missing 6 players!! A few urgent phone calls confirmed that we would only have 10 players to play CC Strikers in a game that could cost us third position...

But despite being short of players and a coach this week, the Beanies pulled together and played their own game, dominating the game from kickoff.

With Lee on her own up the front, all that was needed was a long through ball combined with Lee's speed to score in the first 10 mins. The Beanies then sat back and enjoyed the rest of the game.

For the whole second half we were attacking their goal, but we just couldn't get the ball in the back of the net.. The Strikers goalie had a fantastic game, denying the Beanies another goal that we so deserved. Kathy in goals for Narrabeen barely touched the ball as Strikers hardly got a look at our goal. A good game and with all the girls playing extremely well despite being short of players.

The Ladies Team is now in 3rd position, two points behind second placed Seaforth with one game to go!
