Match: Round 11
Date: 22/06/03
Venue/Stadium: Grahams, Manly
Attendence: Approximately 100
Goals Scored: Dee Why A (25mins)
With some key changes in the positions on the field, the girls stood up to the challenge and played extremely well.

Dee Why A are a strong and physical team but the Beanies outwitted them with speed, ball control and some fancy moves (like the Van Basten and Beckenbauer cut)

Kristin hit a nice cross for it to be deflected by a Dee Why player and hit straight into the goal... It was definately going in anyway!!

Second half and our most gentle player Marday tackled a ball from Dee Why's toughest player (who was a policewoman). The policewoman came off second best and fell, twisting her ankle on the way. An ambulance was called as it was suspected that she broke her ankle and she was in alot of pain. Too much time had passed so the game was called off and declared "abandoned", so we'll have to replay the game again another week.

A shame because we were playing well and were ahead but we do hope that the policewomans ankle is OK and we'll all stay clear of Marday from now on!
