HIS NAMES:
St. Abou sefeen was born in 224 in a country called "ASKANTAS" in the roman Emperor.
They called him Filopateer which means "the one who loves God".
After becoming a soldier, God gave him power & couragement that made him loved by his bosses.
So they called him "MARQORIOS" which means the boss of soldiers
But y did they call him Abou Sefeen??
Abou Sefeen means the one who has 2 swords; he was called so after this story:
The Berbers attacked Rome and the king Dakios went to fight them but was shocked when he saw their great numbers... but our st. Marqorios assured the king that God would be with them & by His power they would win the fight, when the king left Abou sefeen an angle appeared to him (Abou sefeen) & gave him a sword from God & told him to fight the Berbers with it & not to forget the lord who helped him... So in his fight with the Berbers Abou sefeen had "sefeen" I mean 2 swords, his sword & God's sword & by them he could kill nearly all the Berbers' army... & from this time he was called Abou sefeen...

HIS MARTYRING:
Although the king loved Abou sefeen but when he knew that Abou sefeen was Christian he forgot all his victories & courage & remembered only that Marqorios his soldier refuses to pray for Rome's Gods...
& from that time the King Dakios (who hated the Christians & used to make them suffer a lot of traumas), this king started to let our saint taste different colors of traumas in which he used to stick to his lord Jesus & never to leave him, till the last min. of his life...
& On 4th of December 250, the king Dakios ordered Abou Sefeen to be killed by cutting his neck by the sword... he is now with his dear Jesus...
