Hamburger Onion Buns
4 Cups All Purpose Master Mix
1 Package dry yeast
1 Cup warm water
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons onion flakes
shortening
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar and half the All Purpose Master Mix. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. (scraping sides and bottom of bowl frequently. (or 300 strokes by hand)
Add remaining Master mix and onion flakes. Blend well with a spoon.
Cover with cloth and let rise double. (about 30 minutes)
Stir down and beat 25 strokes. Drop by spoonfulls forming 12 mounds about 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. With floured fingers flatten the mounds into rounds about 1/2 inch thick. Let rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
Bake at 400* (preheated oven) 12 to 15 minutes till nice and brown.
Brush tops with shgortening while hot
Makes 1 dozen rolls
