Date Nut Oat Bread
3 cups Rolled Oats Mix
8 ounces pitted dates
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Cut dates in half and put in bowl. Cover with the boiling water and mix well. Stir in sugar and let stand till lukewarm, then add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Put in a greased 9 X 5 X 3 inch loaf pan and bake in preheated 350* oven for 1 hour (or until done). Turn out and cool before slicing.
