WELCOME
TO NARFE MEDFORD CHAPTER #134
The
NARFE National Office is located in Alexandria, VA. Each State has a NARFE State Federation. Both the National and the individual States
hold separate annual conventions. Each
chapter sends delegates to its State Federation Conventions.
Each
year the Chapter elects the following: President, Vice President, Treasurer,
Secretary, and two Executive Board Members At Large.
The
Executive Board considers the names of the volunteers for the Support Staff
positions and approves the appointment of the following Support Staff: Legislative,
Service, Program, Chaplain, Sunshine, Nominations, Alzheimer, Membership,
Publicity, Historian, and NARFE-PAC.
In
addition, we have the following volunteers: Editors, Greeters, and Newsletter
mailing processors.
Our
Chapter publishes a Chapter Newsletter ten months each year, September through
June. We do not publish in July or
August.
Our
Chapter Service Office is located in the Medford Senior Center at 510 E. Main St.,
OR 97504. The Chapter Service Office,
Virginia Dickason, will meet at the NARFE Service
Office with any current and/or retired Federal employee or the spouse by
appointment on any Wednesday at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The telephone help is always available. Call any time (541) 482-1591. If the Service Officer is unavailable, please
leave a message on the answering machine and your call will be returned.
We
hold a General Meeting (Luncheon Meeting) the third Tuesday of every month,
Sept. through June, at JJ North’s Grand
Buffet, 1016 N. Riverside Ave., Medford.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. an informative/entertainment program begins
and lasts for about 30 to 45 minutes.
The business meeting follows.
The
Executive Board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the
Medford Senior Center Sept. through June.
There are no meetings in July or August.
On
the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m., Sept.-June, volunteers meet at
the Medford Senior Center to prepare the Newsletter for mailing. No activity in July or August.
