"Lizzie..."

"Huh?"

Trevor sighed and pulled her body away from his. She wasn't dancing dirty, just very close, like she was practically hugging him. "This is a formal party, and while I love that you are holding me all close, I don't want to scare off the old fogies here and everything."

She looked down at his chest and pretended to pick lint off of his dress shirt. "Sorry, I just. I really don't wanna be here Trev."

His head dipped down to look into her wide eyes. "I'll make it up to you? Ok? Promise. Just try and have fun. There are a lot of cool people here, go mingle."

"I wanna stay with you." She pouted.

"Ok ok."

They danced to the slow song a little closer but not as close as before. Liz hated this. She hadn't seen any of them yet but then again she wasn't looking for them. She concentrated on Trevor and who ever he was talking to. The last thing she needed was to run in to one of their people or even worse, Justin Timberlake himself.

"You look awesome tonight, by the way."

She was startled by how he just blurted it out. Her eyes locked with his and she asked innocently. "I do?"

"Yeah, you blow every other girl outta the water with that elegant but sexy little dress." He smiled when a grin broke out on her face as well.

"You look hot too."

He looked down to himself, her still in his arms as she danced. "What?"

"I know you are wearing leather for me." She giggled, eyeing his pants.

"Well I just remembered how you couldn't keep your hands off me when we went to that party in New York when I wore these."

She gasped in mock shock. "But this is a formal party Mr. Hilton. What on Earth are you talking about?"

He just chuckled and pulled her closer than ever before. "Dance with me."

Across the large ballroom in a corner two blue eyes stared at the couple dancing. He had his arm around another girl, but his mind wasn't on her.

"Justin!"

"Justin!!!" The second time his name was screeched he turned his head startled, with wide, innocent eyes.

"What?"

"Are you listening, I'm telling Farzana about all the wedding plans."

He nodded and smiled at Britney and then at the girl that in front of him that was giving him a weird look. "Yeah, I'm listening."

"Hey Britney do you mind if I steal Justin for a sec."

"Go ahead." Britney shrugged and turned to talk to some other people as Farzana pulled on Justin's arm away from the crowd that was around them.

"What is your problem?"

"Nothing." He said in the guiltiest voice possible.

"You are ignoring your fiancee and staring at that girl over there."

He scoffed; amazed that she had picked up on that. "I am NOT!"

"Justin you haven't moved your eyes from her in the past 5 minutes."

"Farzie, don't get in my business ok?" He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.

"I'm just looking out for you."

His eyes narrowed in on her. "I already have one Brownie, thank you."

After she gave him a good hard look she sighed in defeat. "I'm going to go find JC. I better not find HIM checking out other girls like YOU are. Don't be so obvious about it, ok J? You have Britney. Dammit, DON'T check out other girls."

"Shit, now you've managed a crowd. Here comes Patty. Thanks Farzana, appreciate this." He said in a dry sarcastic voice.

She smiled a fake smile and walked away. "I do what I can."

"Sup Ju?"

"Don't look at me like that Patty." He spoke quickly. He really didn't need this type of stress.

"Like what?"

"Like THAT." He exclaimed.

"I see that you're girl is partying up a storm."

He grumbled. "Yeah, all up on that asshole Trevor too."

"I was talking about Britney."

He looked at her shocked and stuttered as his words came out. "oh, well I mean..Uh.."

Patty patted his arm. "I'm kidding Justin. I know she's here."

"Yeah."

After they stayed there, standing, watching the couple on the other side of the room talk to some people, she spoke up. "She looks amazing."

"She looks breathtaking." Justin's voice sounded like he was in a trance. He didn't blink, didn't breathe, he just stared at her.

"Trevor looks pretty nice too."

Justin rolled his eyes and gagged much like a child. "Ugh."

Patty decided to take it her duty to defend Elizabeth's boyfriend since he wasn't there to defend himself. "You've barely met the boy. He's nice. I saw him in the lobby last night. He is a very nice guy. Super sweet. And damn, look at those pants."

Despite the tense mood, Justin cracked a smile. "Where is Lance?"

"Mingling."

He chuckled and waved her off. "Go Mingle with him."

"Justin, Justin, Justin." She sighed.

HE mocked her. "Patricia, Patricia, Patricia, WHAT do you WANT?"

"You need to confront her."

"Hell no." HE chuckled and shook his head.

Patty pushed her way in front of him and forced him to look at her. "Justin Timberlake you are getting married in like 2 months. You need to confront with this little mystery Internet girl running still in your head before you go into a marriage with thoughts and feelings else where. It's clich and I'm about to shoot my self for saying this but you don't want to go into a marriage with strings attached to other people."

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes.

"No strings attached, puppet figures, 2/4 million, remember how you had to explain that every five seconds to reporters? Yeah, you know that by heart. Now if only you could live it."

Justin sighed and his tall frame seemed to slouch down to the size of a little boy. He got desperate, he got needy. And for the first time in a while he let Patricia Brown see that side of him that had been begging to be released for a while now. "Patty what the hell do you want me to do?"

"Let's Dance Timberlake." She smiled at him and pulled on his wrist until he was forced to follow her.

"Only if it will shut you up." He smirked.

They went to the middle of the dance floor and Patty rested one hand on his shoulder and then held his other hand in hers. After half of the song they had been dancing to passed she bit her lip and let her eyes travel up his face to where he was staring off into space. "Justin..."

His eyes moved to hers. "What Patty?"

"What are you going to do?"

His eyes dropped and for a moment he stopped dancing. But a moment later his hand pushed her into him a little bit more and his hand squeezed her own. Patty had always been there for him, and right now he really needed her support. "I have- I have no fucking clue Patricia."

-------

"Trevor..."

"What?" He turned to the girl that was sitting beside him. She leaned over and whispered in his ear.

"It's our song."

He listened for a moment and he smiled when he recognized the notes to Billy Joel's "Just the way you are." They both had a thing about Billy Joel. Trevor had been taught by his dad to love him, and he had taught Liz. "You wanna dance."

"Oh yeah." She smiled and pulled on his hand.

"Good the floor is rather crowded so we can get all close and romantic."

She grinned at him and let him engulf her in his arms as they danced very closely. "Exactly."

Liz rubbed her nose with his and smiled, singing the song. "...I would not leave you, in times of trouble..."

"We never could have come this far...mmmmmmm...You smell so good." He whispered against her neck. She pulled away and kissed his lips very slowly, yet seductively. She pulled back with his lower lip.

"You taste so good."

Trevor groaned when he felt her knee separate his and she pressed into him close. "Please don't to this to me here Liz, please."

She breathed in his ear. "Let's go back. The yatch is soo close. Please?"

"But I'm supposed to be sociable." He moaned feeling her lips attack to the corner of his jaw.

"WE can come back."

Trevor smiled and gave in to her wishes. "Well, ok..."

"Excuse me, can we cut in?"

Liz turned her eyes to the girl that was staring at her. Her own brown eyes widened with recognition and she pushed Trevor away from her.

Trevor turned around to look at the girl that had tapped his shoulder. "Oh hey, Patty right?"

"Yeah, you wanna switch? Justin here has two left feet."

"What?" Justin turned around, not even realizing where Patty was taking him because he was watching his fiancee talk with Farzana. When his eyes crashed into the small girl in front of him, he gasped and took a step back.

Elizabeth felt her body begin to shake. She didn't know they were there. She hadn't seen them. She had forgotten all about him just a few hours before and now, here he was.

And he took her breath away.

It had been 3 years since she had seen him in person and here is was looking fabulous. She felt all the pain and sorrow and loneliness of the past years crash into her in that one moment. Her body trembled and her eyes watered.

It was a nightmare and a dream.

"Sure! Here Elizabeth, you were just talking about Justin earlier today. Dance with him!" Trevor pushed her towards him and Elizabeth fell into Justin's chest.

He grabbed her so she wouldn't fall.

She looked up startled at his face. He just smiled and said "Sorry."

His arms were still holding on to her, her eyes were locked onto his, and she could feel him and smell him and she knew he was no longer a dream.

HE was a reality again. He was back in her life. For at least a moment.

And she didn't know if she could handle that.
