6ish

"Mmmmm, quarter pounder. It always hits the spot." Liz moaned.

Justin chuckled and looked over at her. "What would Emeril say?"

"I just like watching him cook. Nothing more."

He smiled brightly at her, picking up his cup from the cup holder in-between them. "You have a crush don't you. Big E and Lil Liz."

"Shut up. I have a crush on this man right here. Listen to him." She pointed to the stereo in her car and sighed.

"I never understood this song."

"You aren't supposed to, just listen..." She began to sing. "'Everything good needs replacing.' Gosh, I wish you could have been Dave Matthews."

He scoffed a few times. "Hey, I take offense to that. I probably could pull strings to get you to meet them. But not anymore." She immediately dished out the puppy dog look. "Aww...don't do the puppy dog look on me. I invented that move so don't start."

She smiled and they ate in peace in the parking lot for a few moments before she said, "sorry today wasn't very eventful."

HE shook his head and reassured her. "No, it was perfect. I mean I usually don't get the chance to just chill, go to the mall, play some hoops, watch a little TV, cruise around, and now sit the in the parking lot of McDonalds chomping down on a Big Mac. It's like..normal stuff. Thanks."

"You're welcome I guess." She giggled.

"What song is this?" Justin asked after she flipped numbers on the CD.

"Lover lay down. One of my personal favs. Last year I listened to it almost every night before I went to bed."

After a while he turned and grinned at her. "I like it."

"You do?" She was actually rather stunned by his statement.

"Yeah, it's very relaxing." He slouched down in his seat to get the point across.

She sang quietly along with Dave Matthews causing a smile to slowly spread on Justin's face. "By my lovers side...share this smile...."

"You are so cool Elizabeth." He said out of no where.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know. Just you are."

"Thanks. You aren't too shabby yourself Timby."

"Timby...That's a hell of a lot better than CurlyGAY."

They both laughed and Elizabeth leaned over the console a bit. "I'm sorry I called you curlygay. I know you aren't gay. And I would hate for you to turn gay and then blame it all on me."

"Yah, that's ok. I'm pretty confident that I'm NOT gay." He chuckled.

"Hey, Justin?" Elizabeth asked after a few moments.

"What lizzie?"

She paused to collect her thoughts. "What's going to happen tomorrow...and the day after that..and the month's after that..."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, are we like really good friends now, or just interent buds that met once, and only once, or are will I see you again or something, and OTHER than the TV."

He smiled at her concern. "You'll see me Liz. I promise. I like you too much. I mean, I've had a lot of fun today and I like hanging out with someone who treats me normal. It's kinda cool that you don't let any of my crap fly. You cut down my ego. I NEED that."

"Cool. Well you have my number. Just call me, whenever. But not like early in the morning or late at night."

"And we will still talk on line definitely....you keep flipping songs, why?" He looked down at the stereo where her hand was changing songs yet again on the CD.

"This is my favorite."

He giggled. "You say that about every Dave song we have listened to so far."

"Just eat your fries and listen to what GOOD music is."

"Put in an Nsync CD. That's good music."

She hurled a fry at him and he looked where it landed on the floor of her car. "Ey, that was a good fry."

"Hehe...my cars clean...pick it up and eat it." She laughed.

"I'll feed it to the birds." He rolled down her window and threw the 'bad fry' out of the car.

"Justin Timberlake: popstar by day...bird feeder by night."

"Elizabeth Meyers: average girl by day...CurlyJay's bed slave by night."

She shook her head. "In your dreams, Curlygay. In your dreams."

8 at night

"Walk me in."

"Why?"

"Because, I just want you to."

"Justin I have to be getting home soon."

"So, just spend 10 more minutes walking upstairs with me, puuulllleasssee."

Elizabeth stared at him before whining. "Man, you did invent the puppy dog look."

"Come on." He began to get out of her car.

She sighed and grumbled, getting out of her Honda. "All right, all right."

He chuckled and looked back at her as they walked to the side entrance of the hotel. "This isn't open heart surgery Lizzie. This is walking me in the building to the elevator and then to my room. Geez."

"Well if we are going, lets go." She sped walked ahead of him, looking out for fans.

He just laughed, walking coolly behind her.

They got inside and she walked as fast as possible to the elevators.

"Elizabeth, damn! Slow down. It's like you are TRYING to get rid of me."

She turned a bit and looked over at him as he took his time approaching her, giving her a shocked look almost. "Sorry, I just..I'm sorry Justin. I just don't want this day to end."

"Then why are you rushing it?" He asked her and pressed the up button.

"Because the longer we wait, the more time I have to be sad."

Justin smiled as the doors opened and they both stepped in. She pressed the number 7 for him. "Aww, Lizzie's gonna miss me."

"Shut up. I am ok? This was all cool and fine and everything on the net and now you are like..I don't know, I reality. You aren't just a screen name that makes me laugh Justin. You are my friend now and...I don't know how to handle that."

"Oh..." He was astonished by her outburst that her voice actually cracked in. He didn't know what it was but something else was behind her comment. Maybe she didn't just see him as her internet buddy. Maybe she LIKED him.

He smiled, a little too big for her liking.

"WHAT?"

"Nothing, come on lil Liz."

"Yes sir." She mocked.

She followed him towards his hotel room, stopping to give a huge grin to Dre who was posted in the hallway. He just rolled his eyes in return.

Liz felt like rolling her eyes herself, but not at Dre. She couldn't believe she had let herself do this. She had had crushes before and guy friends and boyfriends and what not. But this time she felt very awkward about her feelings towards Justin. She wanted just to se him as regular ol annoying CurlyJay23. But he wasn't that anymore. He was still annoying and cocky. But there was so much more to him. He was funny and cute and kind and gentle and sweet and well, she hated to be admitting this, but the more time she spent with him, the cuter, hotter, finer, whatever you call it, he got.

She hated that she was thinking and feeling these things, 10 minutes before she said goodbye to him. Well in person at least. There would still be CurlyJay23 around.

"Wanna come in?" Justin smirked.

"Oh, so there was a plan behind this 10 minute visit, huh?"

"Just come in, Elizabeth. Man, I don't want to rape you. I would have done that at your house if I wanted to."

"Well, thanks. I guess." She mumbled and cautiously sat down on the bed.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOIN?" She screamed when he began to remove his clothing.

He gave her a crazed look. "I am hot. I am just taking off my shirt; I got an undershirt on, Liz. Chill."

"You have a problem with taking your shirt off don't you?"

He walked over to her; her eyes level with his stomach. She turned her chin up to look at him. He was staring down at her with a grin. His wifebeater clinging to him. "What is your PROBLEM? Relax Lizzie."

When he put his hands on her shoulders, every muscle in her body tensed up and then relaxed and then tensed back up. That one touch sent her body into a frenzy.

She looked away when she saw his smile and his tongue lick his lips. "So, uhh, what time are you heading out tomorrow?"

"Early. Guess what?"

"What?"

"I've been wanting to kiss you all day."

"WHAT?" She screamed.

He stepped back and his eyes widened. "I said I think I'll miss you all day, tomorrow that is."

"Oh.."

"What did you think I said?" He chuckled, backing away from her.

She stood up and ran a hand through her hair, knowing she would have to get out of there soon. "Ohh nothing. Just that you wanted to kiss me." She grumbled the last part.

He must have had keen sense of hearing because the next thing she knew his face was hovering right above her own. "What if I did want to?"

"Justin..." She whispered nervously.

"What if I still do want to?" His tenor voice seemed to lower 2 octaves in Lizzie's mind.

"What are you doing?" She barely made out as he inched closer.

"I'm going to kiss you, Elizabeth."

She could feel his breath on her lips. "If you do, I'll kick your-" But he cut her off instead with his lips. She moaned into his mouth, still talking, but suddenly his mouth had claimed hers and she fell into his arms, letting his lips do whatever the hell they wanted.

This kiss, was...wow. She couldn't even put into words what his lips and mouth and tongue were doing with hers. Elizabeth jumped slightly when his tongue slowly parted her lips and swept through her mouth, but she soon relaxed and enjoyed the sensation.

She couldn't believe he was kissing her. She couldn't believe she was letting him kiss her. She couldn't believe this was happening.

And as soon as it happened, it stopped. The bang of the door jolted them awake and for a few moments she felt his breath tickling her lips and his shocked cobalt eyes piercing in her own chocolate eyes. That one look sent him sprinting to the door.

"What?" He asked, opening the door slightly.

Liz didn't hear the conversation or really care to. Her mind was racing with thoughts of what just happened. It was so random and fast and unexpected. And now, it was just a memory.

Justin came back, hand scratching the back of his head, eyes cast to the floor. "Well, uhh. That was Chris. He said Britney had been trying to reach me. I guess I turned my cell off."

Liz's head hit the wall that she just realized she had been leaning up against, at the sound of her name, Britney. "Ohh, well you better go call your GIRLFRIEND, then."

"Liz...please, don't be like that." Justin pleaded with her, finally looking her in the face.

"Well what do you want to me to be like? Oh, see ya later. I mean, you just give me the best kiss I've ever received and tomorrow you leave. What am I supposed to DO with that?"

"It was really your best kiss?" He inquired with a smirk.

"UGH. Please don't joke around at this."

"I'm not joking with you. I'm just asking." He defended himself.

She sighed and looked at her watch. "Justin, I have to go. Now. It's getting late and my dad will kill me. So..bye." She walked up to him and slung her arms around his neck, squeezing him for a moment. She didn't want him to hold on; but he did. His arms wrapped around her waist and his nose buried itself in her hair.

"I'll miss you Lizzie. I really will. But I'll be sure to call and I'll be online just as much if not more." He whispered in her ear.

She noticed herself squeezing him back in his strong, warm embrace. "Thanks for spending today with me, minus our little incident that just happened."

"I don't think it was a little incident. And I personally think it was the highlight of the day. But we are entitled to our own opinions." He sighed and pushed her off him. "Get outta here Lizzie. If you stay I might not let you go."

She grinned. "Aww Curlygay is getting all sappy. What do you expect form a homosexual?" She giggled and walked to the door.

"You know Elizabeth, if any one else called me Curlygay I would rip their throats out."

She opened his door and smiled back at him. "I know. I'm special."

"Bye Liz." He waved slightly.

"Bye Justin."

With a click of a door their lives separated. She stood there in the hallway for minutes just thinking about what had just happened. Finally she pushed herself away from his door and walked swiftly towards the elevators. She had to get as far away from him as possible.

Justin on the other hand, just stood there, staring at the place where she had just been, against the wall, his lips on hers and her arms around his neck. He knew it shouldn't have happened, but now it did and so many doubts and feelings were in his mind that he almost didn't know what to do with himself.

This was just supposed to be someone to talk to on one lonely sleepless night. And now...now a whole lot more was going on. A whole lot more was at stake.

Justin Timberlake had to make a decision. And right now, he didn't know which way to go.

He could go with what he knew and was use to, or go with something unplanned and tangled. His life was a mess as it was at that moment.

With a quick intake of breath and a turn of his shoes he was looking the other way, turning on the TV and forgetting about his decision. He could make it later.

Much later.
