2008

Hell.

That's what life was right now. Plain and simple: Hell.

She had been there for what seemed like days, but in reality it had just been 6 hours. She had about 2 hours left and she would be released from her prison.

Nothing seemed to work. She was bored. She use to not mind this sort of thing, paperwork. But today she hated it.

The only good thing about the situation was that the "out box" stack of papers was now higher than the "in box" stack. Hopefully she would get all her signatures and things in place so that she wouldn't have to cram to get all those papers in the "outbox" by her 10 am deadline the next morning.

And the other good thing was that she had a meeting with her boss and a client in an hour. She loved her boss and meetings were usually always relaxed. But she didn't know anything about this meeting. She was just informed that by 4 p.m. she was to be sitting in his lounge/meeting area.

Her mind circled around that when the meeting got out, she got out and that was a very pleasant thing to her. Unless of course, it was a long meeting...She PRAYED it wouldn't be a long meeting.

It wouldn't be so bad if her radio was working, but of course it had managed to blow a fuse or something that morning and so all she heard was the a/c that turned on every 10 minutes and the occasional movement of her leather chair against the hard wood floor of her office when she stretched or moved.

But the worst part about the situation was that her husband was home after being gone for the weekend. He was supposed to have gotten in about an hour ago, but she hadn't had a call from him yet. She was a little disappointed but she knew how the Orlando airport was and she knew not to worry. Lonnie was with him, and he wouldn't let anything bad happen to him.

She knew her husband well, and she knew that he would let her know as soon as possible where he was.

Her pen stopped on the paper she was confirming.

She smiled.

The thought of him could just make her smile.

It had only been 3 days but to her it felt like an eternity. She hated going to bed alone, she hated sleeping alone, and she hated waking up alone. She hated knowing he was in New York and not in Orlando. She hated that his voice was coming from a phone and not from right beside her.

But the worse was that she couldn't see him, or touch him, or kiss him and know that he was there. She couldn't roll over in the middle of the night and cling to his side and hear him mumble an "I love you." She couldn't feel his lips on her forehead and cheek. She couldn't hear him singing obnoxiously loud in the shower in the mornings...her own personal alarm clock. She couldn't touch him and watch as his eyelids lowered and his breathing got ragged as she...

"Mrs. Timberlake..."

Meredith snapped out of her practically a sleep form. Her hand that had been holding up her cheek fell to her desk with a plop. She was almost drooling and her eyes had half closed at the thought of Justin. She shook her hand to rid it of the small pain that had seared through her hand when it hit her hard wood desk. She looked down to her small intercom on her desk and pressed the Talk button. "Kris, why are you calling me Mrs. Timberlake?"

"Because you are my boss."

Meredith shook her head at the intercom like her secretary and close friend, Kristina could see her. Kristina had been her secretary for about a year now. She was still in college, her senior year. "But...you are my friend..."

"But we are at work." She said in a mock tone. Meredith and Kristina were less than professional at work. They were known to take extra long lunch breaks and often disappear for hours with the excuse that they had to go buy "office supplies". That usually meant they were at the mall.

Meredith was good at her job, but she had the flexibility to do what she wanted with it. And since Kris worked for her, she just followed her around.

Meredith chuckled. "Shut up, what do you want?"

"You're 4 o'clock is here."

"But its 3." She checked her clock.

"I know that."

Meredith raked her brain. She didn't really understand what this meeting was about. She hadn't been informed of the specifics. "But it's a meeting with Johnny. I'm just there to umm, what am I supposed to do again?"

"Take notes and go over legalization...stuff."

"Oh, well why are they at my office and not his?"

Kris sighed, obviously getting tired of all of Meredith's questions. "I don't know. They just are."

"I guess you can send them on in. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with them. Hey, what is this meeting?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well is it modeling, acting, or a musical act?" WEG had since expanded their talent from just music to other fields as well. Meredith overseed all the legalization papers and records and usually was a part of every signing process. It was an important job, but she tried to have fun with it and not take it too seriously.

"Music, but I think its all three if you ask me."

She caught the mischief in her friend's voice, and that could only mean one thing. She knew something that Meredith didn't. "You are weird."

"I know."

"Send 'em in." Meredith released the talk button and heard Kris respond to her. "Kay."

She didn't even bother looking at the door when they came in, she continued on with her paper work and readjusted her glasses on her nose and managed a "I'll be with you in a sec."

The person, she knew it was one because there wasn't a lot of movement, didn't say anything to her and she took that as two ways: They were shy or nervous. She finally took her glasses off her face, placed them on her desk and rubbed the bridge of her nose.

She looked up. "Hey, I'm Mere-" she stopped and her mouth dropped.

"I know who you are Angel."

A smile so big erupted on her face at that voice and the sight of him sitting causally in the chair in front of her desk. She pushed away from her work and practically ran over to him. "Oh my god, what are you doing here?"

He smiled when she plopped down on his lap and hugged him. "I came to see you baby." Justin tucked a piece of her hair that had fallen from her ponytail behind her ear and kissed the tip of her nose. "I got in from the airport and came straight here. I missed you too much."

She leaned her forehead on his and giggled. "We are pathetic. I missed you too."

"I know, I was only gone for 3 days and I was going craaazy without you." She smiled as he made the 'a' long in the word 'crazy'.

She placed her hands on his chest and sighed when she could feel his heartbeat against her flattened palms. "You know what I've been missing? Well, besides you."

"What?" He grinned.

"Your kisses."

He bit his lip, trying to force himself not to burst into a wide smile. "Want one?"

She nodded. "Please."

Without further ado, Justin had her mouth woven with his. His arms steadied her in his lap and one of his hands held on to the back of her head, entangled in her dark long hair and not letting her lips get away from his.

His tongue searched her mouth and she relaxed completely against him, running her hands over the vast expanse of his chest and the curve of his broad shoulders.

The kiss ended slowly, her lips not wanting to let his go. He finally managed to pull her away from him, but as soon as she was gone he wanted her back and he dipped his head again for one more peck. And then another...and another...and another.

"Justin..." She whined.

"What angel?"

"I have all this paperwork and I have this meeting to go to and its going to be boring. I just wanna go home with you. Can you tell Johnny to let me have the rest of the day off?" She pleaded, sending a pouty look his way.

He just chuckled. "You have to go to this meeting, Mere. I'm sorry."

"But I wanna be with you." She snuggled in his neck, letting her hands delve into his short curls.

"You will be. I'll be in the meeting with you."

She pulled away and looked at him with a confused look on her face. "But..why? You aren't a potential client. Is it someone you are producing?"

He smiled and sincerely said. "No baby, just come with me and you'll find out."

She snuggled deep into his body and tucked her head under his chin, mumbling. "I don't wanna move."

Justin lifted his arm from where it had been placed around her, holding her to him and he looked at his watch. "Well we got a while before the meeting starts."

"Yeah...we do..." she sighed, happy to be in his arms again.

A minute later, Justin's voice tickled her earlobe. "Wanna get kinky."

"JUSTIN!" She shouted with a laugh and pulled away from him, slightly.

He gave her an innocent look. "What?"

"Not in my office!"

He smiled secretly. "It'd be fun. We can get Kris to watch the door for us."

She shook her head, disappointed. "You've been in New York too long. All that stale air has gotten to your head."

He leaned in, trying to kiss her but she backed away. He smiled anyway and let his lips touch the bit of skin exposed in her V-neck shirt. It was no way scandalous but there was enough skin there to tease. He breathed up to her neck. "Nope. I've just been away from my sexy wife and I'm starting to feel the effects if you know what I'm saying."

She swatted at his head that was nestled in-between her shoulder and neck. "You're a perv."

"And yet you married me anyway."

She smiled feeling his lips softly trail along her jawline and chin. "You use to not be this way."

"I know. That doesn't say very much about you now does it."

"Hey!" She tried to counter attack or say something to him, but his lips covered hers softly before she got the chance. He moved his lips slowly over hers, trying to coax her and tempt her and seduce her. When she moaned into his mouth, he knew he had won.

"Sorry to interrupt this happy little reunion but Johnny said you guys are ready to start." Justin groaned an unhappy groan into his wife's mouth and pulled his lips away.

"It's only 3:15." Meredith breathed, trying to catch her breath.

Kris just shrugged in the doorway. "Well he said he was ready. And he probably knew you two were in here getting down and he didn't want anything..um, you know, going on in his workplace."

Meredith looked in-between her husband and her secretary. "Why does everyone think me and Justin are nymphos?"

Kris smiled. "Because you are."

"Because we are." Justin said at the same time as Kris.

Meredith slid off Justin's lap and pointed to the two in her office. "Why don't you two marry. It makes a whole lot more sense."

"No, see I'm not a nympho." Kris smiled and turned around to go back to her small desk outside of Meredith's office.

"That's it, I'm outta here." Meredith put her hands up like she was blocking others from her and began to walk swiftly out of the room.

But Justin grabbed one of her arms and pulled her back against his body. He pouted and said in a babyish voice. "Don't leave. Are you mad at me?"

She chuckled and kissed him for just a moment. "No, dork. Come on."

Justin's hand slid down her arm and he intertwined their fingers together before pushing himself in front of her and leading her down the hallway towards Johnny's office.

She was in her own world, not watching where she was going and not really caring either. Her eyes were cast down ward at their locked hands. She could never get over how big his hands was compared to hers, yet at the same time, hers fit perfectly against his. No extra space... nothing...just a perfect fit.

She didn't realize where she had been taken because all her focus was on Justin, and before she knew it, she was being taken away from her focal point. Two arms picked her up and swung her around.

"Mmmm, I've missed you girly."

Meredith sequealed and hugged the man in front of her tightly. "JC!! What are you doing here?"

It had been awhile since she had seen him. He had been busy with work, very busy. Nsync had parted ways almost 2 years before and ever since then JC had been swamped with producing and writing for new artists. He even produced about 4 songs for Justin's album that had been released about half a year before. It had done very well critically but hadn't reached the sales and fan base that Nsync did as a whole.

"You'll see." JC said secretively.

Her eyebrows furrowed and someone tapped on her shoulder. She spun around and gasped at the site of the 2 men standing there. "Oh my god, guys..what is this?"

"You'll see." Joey said and pulled her into a hug. "Missed you Merey."

"I know Joey. How's Kel and lil B?" Her eyes lit up and he smiled brightly. Joey had "settled down" now having a wife and daughter that was about to turn 4. His wife Kelly was expecting another in 3 months. He had appeared in 3 movies and had talked about writing a screenplay, but that was just talk for now.

"Perfect."

"Tell Kelly to call me." She poked playfully at his chest.

"Yeah, yeah..."

Meredith smiled. "Hey Hollywood."

"Hey..um..um...dammit I cant think of a good comeback." Lance chuckled and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Business man as always, Lance had been probably the busiest and most diverse in their work out of all of them. Movie rolls, TV cameos, FreeLance movies and artist and everything else under the sun, Lance was doing. He was still dating Leslie and it was only a matter of time before he popped the question. All the guys had a bet to when it would happen.

"It's ok. Did Les get the stuff that she left at our place 2 weeks ago?" Meredith asked.

"Yeah, it arrived last weekend."

"good, good. I know I would have freaked if I left my favorite pair of jeans somewhere."

Lance smiled at her. "Yeah."

Meredith looked around at all her guys. She had seen them all at different times and talked to all of them on a regular basis, but it was nice to have them all in the same room again. Well all but one. "Wait, where's-"

"And this is Mr. Wright's office."

A brightly dressed man followed a young woman dressed casually and smiled at her. "Why thank you..."

She finished for him. "Chris."

His eyebrows raised and he lifted her outstretched hand to his lips. "Wow we have the same name."

Chris' clothing line had become extremely popular in the youth of today. While the music aspect of Fuman had yet to take off like FreeLance, he was still working hard on that. Danielle and him had separated, but on a friendly note. But Chris had become...obsessed to say the least, in finding a woman. He was getting into his late 30s and it was starting to take his toll. The funny, outrageous, crazy Chris Kirkpatrick had become Rico Suave in a sense, trying desperately to pick up chicks and on a not so secret man hunt, for a Mrs. Crazy Chris Kirkpatrick.

"It's short for Christina." she gave him a weird look when he kissed her knuckles and winked.

"Hey CK what are you doing?"

Chris dropped the girls hand and spun on his heels, meeting Justin's amused eyes. "Huh? ohhh, umm...hey."

"Who's your friend?" Lance asked, trying to suppress his deep chuckled.

He looked shocked in-between the young girl and his friends. "Oh this is Christina, she's a new intern down on the first floor."

"Wow. How did you two meet?" Joey crossed his arms over his chest looking extremely interested in Chris' response.

"Oh..well.." The man stuttered.

"Mr. Kirkpatrick..." The girl started.

He turned and said coolly, "Call me Chris."

She rolled her eyes at the older man when he looked away and continued with the story. "Chris said he didn't know where Mr. Wright's office was so I offered to show him."

Johnny sat down on in a plush chair and put his reading glasses on, all the while saying, "But Chris you were just in my office yesterday."

"I was?" He gasped and widened his eyes at Johnny as if to say "shut up now."

He nodded. "Yeah, for the Fuman-WEG fashion show next month."

"Oh..yeah." He bit his lip and scrunched his face like he was silently cursing.

"Don't mind him. He's 36, he gets kinda forgetful." JC yawned, plopping down on a couch and sprawling out.

"I think I need to go." Christina smiled and waved at the people in the room before closing Johnny's glass office door and walking away.

Lance laughed and took a seat beside JC on the couch. "Lost Chris?"

"I think it's he is going through his mid life crisis." Justin chided, pointing at his older friend and sticking his tongue out before sitting down on the empty couch.

"Hey, that's not funny." He narrowed his eyes.

"Aww, poor baby."

His eyes brighten though when he heard and spotted Meredith. "Well look its the divine Miss M." He opened his arms and engulfed her in a hug.

"Whatever." she chuckled.

"How you doin Merey?"

"Fine." She patted his back. Chris smiled at Justin and let his hand rub and wander all over her back.

Justin sat up from his relaxed position and challenged him with a raised eyebrow. "Hey, paws off buddy!"

Chris sighed and pushed Meredith away before sauntering over to the couch Justin was sitting on. "All right, All right. Come on, lets get this started. I have only a little bit of time until Christina gets off and I have to go impress her some more."

All of them groaned in unison.

Meredith walked over to the only empty seat beside Justin, and smiled before she sat down. But two hands grabbed her hips and directed her movement.

"Oomph." She groaned a bit when she was forced down on the couch. Familiar arms surrounded her and brought her back against a strong chest. She realized then, she had been forced to sit between her husbands legs. But she didn't mind.

Not a bit...

"Oh great, I have to sit beside the newly weds. Just Great." Chris groaned, seeing Justin rest his temple on his wife's.

"We've been married for 4 years Chris." Meredith said, turning her eyes to the man beside of them, but not her face.

"So..." He pouted.

"Ok ok, lets get down to business." Johnny stated.

"Yeah, like WHY are you all here. You aren't doing a big reunion tour or anything are you?" Meredith turned up her nose a the idea of an Nsync tour after they had all parted ways and started their own lives. All of them lived in different places. Lance lived in LA, JC..where ever he was recording, Chris was stationed in LA, New York or Orlando and Joey had bought a house in Northern Florida when Brianna was born.

"No, close though." Justin whispered in her ear.

She couldn't help but let a smile appear on her face as his breath sent goosebumps rising on her skin.

Johnny smiled at the couple across from him. "Actually, the guys are doing a CD."

"You guys are recording together...wait..." She pulled a little out of Justin's arms at the news, to look around at everyone.

"It's going to be kinda a greatest hits album. It'll have half new stuff and half old stuff, and we are remixing and are doing some vocals on the olds stuff." JC smiled at her.

"Oh wow." She said. She bit her lip and asked, "Well, do you know where you will be recording?"

Lance's eyebrows furrowed and he thought about his answer before speaking. "LA, New York. I doubt we will go to Sweden, but you never know."

Her face fell and she slouched onto Justin. "Oh..."

He dipped his head and whispered. "Don't worry, we will be here at home mostly. And if we go anywhere I'll pack you with me."

She could do nothing but smile at his comment, and leaned back against his body, completely content in his embrace.

-------

a hour later...

Justin nudged Chris with his free elbow. His other was being held by Meredith's hand as they walked through the WEG lobby. "Uh ohh...look Chris..it's..Chris.."

"Shut up." He mumbled.

"Come on..make the move." Meredith coaxed with an encouraging smile.

"Dude, all in good time."

Josh cleared his throat loudly from behind them. "Hey, Christina...Chris here wants to ask you something."

"Josh!" Chris exclaimed.

JC ran to the doors and waved with a cheesy grin. "See ya later."

"You will pay, Chasez...hey..." He turned his angered stare to one known as "Chris Coolness" as he sauntered up to the young woman.

"Hi. What is it?" The other Chris asked with a furrowed brow.

Chris leaned against the counter the girl was standing behind and looked at her with a sly smile. "Ohh umm...hey, um..do you have any raisins?"

She looked bored with the whole scenario. "No, why?"

"Oh god..." Meredith slapped her hand to her forehead. She knew what was next.

"How about a date?" When the young girl just grinned and walked away, Chris's shoulders slumped and he shuffled out towards the door.

"Ohhh Chris...honey...you...ohhh..Pick up lines..never work." Meredith sighed and waved back to him as he exited the building.

"Yeah they do."

Meredith turned her attention to her husband and rolled her eyes at his mischievous grin. "Try me.."

"Do you believe in helping the homeless?"

"Sure" She shrugged, grinning.

"Take me home with you."

"Oh lord, lets get you home." She pushed him out the door not realizing what he said.

Justin rooted and pointed at her as she stalked off in front of him. "SEE! It works! How about...Do you have a mirror in your pocket?"

She had heard this one several times. "Oh god..."

Justin laughed and tried to wrapped his arms around her waist but she ran ahead of him slightly. "'Cause I could see myself in your pants. "

"Stop being stupid." She mumbled, walking through he large parking lot towards her car.

"Would you touch me so I can tell my friends I've been touched by an angel?"

She pushed him to the car, groaning.

"Come over to my house and lets do math, subtract the clothes, add the bed, divide the legs, and we'll multiply. "

He ran towards her and picked up the back collar of her shirt. "What are you doing?" Meredith asked, trying to get away from him.

He smiled with a giggle. "Yep! Made in heaven! And Have you heard the latest piece of medical knowledge saying that sex is a real killer? Do you want to die happy?"

Meredith looked up at him, bored outta her mind, leaning against the car door.

He stepped closer and smiled. "Did you know that there are 265 bones inside of your body?"

"Justin..." Her annoyed smile fell when Justin got closer and he pressed his body close to her.

"I could show you how to get one more?" He swiveled his hips a bit into hers and she sighed when his lips feel against her neck.

"What has 148 teeth and holds back the incredible hulk?"

"Wha?" She mumbled as he breathed up her neck to her ear.

He paused and smiled against her. "My zipper."

"Just..." But his lips were on hers before she got a change to say anything. His tongue eased its way slowly into her mouth and then pulled back suddenly, leaving her kissing the air, wanting more.

She groaned and opened her eyes gradually. "You annoy me."

He smiled and dipped in for one last small kiss. "I love you too...now get in the car."

She pushed at his chest so that she could turn around and get in her car. But he pushed her back into his front and pinned her to the car.

"Can I drive?" He whispered.

Meredith groaned and pushed herself away, leaving her keys resting on the top of her car. "You wont have it any other way."

"Exactly." He smiled and got in the drivers side.

After 5 minutes of driving and 5 minutes of silence, Justin spontaneously turned up the radio and pressed a button on the console of Meredith's BMW 3-series coupe. Suddenly he was singing as LOUD as possible with Paul McCartney.

"Some people wanna fill the worrrrllldd with silly love songs..."

When the next line came through and Meredith didn't sing along, Justin gasped and pointed to her. "That was your part."

"Sorry...you are the singer in the family." She shrugged.

He smiled inwardly and mumbled. "Family...mmm...I....lovvvee..you..." He continued singing.

After a few more lines of the song Meredith took in a deep breath and shook her head, slouching in her seat. "My husband has gone insane."

Justin pulled off the highway and said in a voice louder than what the normal smooth, soft Timberlake voice. "No baby. I was going INSANE in New York..WITH OUT you...but now I'm perfectly fine."

Her head rolled over to stare at his smiling profile. He was right. She whispered, searching for his hand. "Perfectly...fine..."

"Hey I got a plan..." He smiled and wrapped his fingers with hers and laid their hands on his lap.

She smiled when he brought her hand to his mouth and kissed her fingers sweetly. "Well lets hear it."

"Ok, when we get home you are going to go upstairs and pull back the bed and relax and get in a robe." He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye and kept on driving.

"What are you gong to be doing?" She asked.

"Making you a perfectly warm and extra bubbly bubble bath."

Meredith melted against the leather seat at his words. "Oooo..I love your baths."

"I know...and then you are going to take a nice bath, all the while I sit there and feed you and bathe you...and then..."

Her breathing quickened when she saw they were entering the neighborhood their house was in. His words were leaving her hanging, and she need to hear more. "Yes..."

Justin smiled boyishly and dropped her hand. He said in a giddy child like voice, "Then we are going to make love ALL night long. Deal?"

She shook her head and laughed. "I don't really think I have a choice in the matter."

Immediately he tensed up and turned his head towards her and gave her a sincere look. "You know if you don't want to we don't-"

Meredith leaned over the arm rest that separated them when he stopped at a stop sign and pressed her mouth to his. His eyebrows raised in shock but soon he relaxed and pressed hard on the brake and took his hands off the wheel and steadying her head with them. She pulled away and whispered on his mouth. "Shhh..you know I want to. I missed you so much. I was in hell with you gone."

"And now I'm in heaven with my angel." He leaned in to kiss her but she pulled back and plopped in her seat.

"Take me home Justin." She said, staring out the window.

Justin's foot eased off the break and in after chuckling a bit he slammed on the gas and clutched the steering wheel with both hands. "Almost there babe, almost there." Back Forward
