It was times like these, when she knew it didn't get any better. You couldn't offer her anything to trade. Immortality, a glimpse into the future, unlimited amounts of money, nothing could buy this. The cheesy romance novels that Christina had gotten her hooked on couldn't ever justly or correctly describe the scene she was in.
"Hot flesh surrounded by warm water that was soothing their cool connected souls..."
It was a good try but not good enough.
"Tender words were whispered against her skin, floating around her like a swan on a peaceful lake..."
Beautiful site but not as beautiful as the site they were creating.
It had been a while since they had been able to share this together. About a week ago she had watched in him the very act, even helped, but didn't experience it with him. And now wrapped in his arms, feeling his body behind her holding her against his chest, the hot water covering about half of their torsos, bubbles covering much of the rest, and not to forget the soft scented candles he insisted on lighting and the bluesy Miles Davis collection she had playing on repeat, currently playing her favorite, "Flamenco Sketches (Alternative take)." She couldn't remember why she hadn't joined him the time before, and now, she so wished she had.
But she was happy to be there now.
She almost didn't want to disturb the serene visual they made. But he was breathing so deeply she was moving with his chest and every breath he took. She whispered, "Asleep?"
She not only heard but also felt the groan that came from deep in his chest and throat. "Almost. It's Miles angel, he's so...."
She moved a little so that she could turn her head and look up at him. "Enchanting..."
His eyes opened, and his head nodded against the marble on the corner of the tub. "Yeah."
She smiled. "So are you." His lips parted and he grinned back at her. With a slight, barely noticeable nod of his head, and a quick swipe of his tongue over his lips, he let her know what he wanted. She smiled, turned herself a little more and leaned into him.
A few minutes later the need for air became desperate as his lips searched for more of her mouth, and the need for each other could be felt. She could feel him squirming behind her and that meant one thing: The kisses were starting to really affect him. And soon he did what he always did when their mini make out sessions were getting carried away; he broke them apart, breathing heavily against her swollen lips. He sighed and leaned his head back against the corner of the tub and pulled her tighter against him, making her have to totally change her position in his lap. "Are you nervous?"
"About?" She breathed, almost gasping for air. It was always like this for her after their kisses. Her head found a comfortable resting place in the curve of his shoulder.
Justin brought his hand up to hers that was lying against his chest. He covered it with his own and held her hand against his heart. "Going to the doctor Friday."
She wasn't expecting him to ask that, so she hesitated. She didn't want him seeing how incredibly frightened she was, so she just nodded and meekly said, "A little."
His arm secured her more to his chest and she was shocked to hear him say, "I'm terrified."
Pulling away from she sat up a little and turned so her body was tangled but more facing him. Her hands cupped his cheeks and her face stared at his. "Justin..."
"I called my mom last night. I was whining like a baby."
With a tilt of her lips she returned his half-smile. "I know, I heard."
He didn't mean for her to hear everything he said to his mother the night before. He didn't want her seeing how much he was scared. He cringed and bit his lip. "Everything?"
Her body relaxed and she passed him a sympathetic look. The grip on her hands became firmer and she said sternly. "I know you are scared, but J this is the first time for me too."
His eyes narrowed and his head tilted in thought. "You haven't called me that in a long time."
Meredith pushed herself back to the other side of the bathtub and propped her feet up on the side, near him, crossing her ankles. "I haven't?"
"No, you don't call me by many nicknames anymore. Besides baby..."
"Oh...do you want me to call you by nicknames..." She smiled when he picked up one of her feet.
"I doesn't matter."
"Yean it does. You call me Angel, and if you don't, you call me Mere."
The pads of his thumbs pressed circles into the bottom of her foot and she sighed, relaxing. "I use to call you M and G and all sorts of stuff...It doesn't matter what you call me."
She closed her eyes and smirked. "So I could call you Tom Cruise."
"Why would you do that?"
Opening her brown eyes she saw him sending her a hurt look. She picked up a handful of bubbles and blew on them sending them flowing his way. "Ya know, I could scream it during sex and stuff."
"You little rascal." He growled and before she knew it he was tickling the bottom of her foot.
She giggled and laughed and screamed, thrashing about in the tub and throwing soapy water everywhere "Stop! I'm...Justin...STOP! JUSTIN!"
He finally let her foot go and she curled up her feet and legs held on to them, staying away from his side of the tub. He smiled and rubbed his feet against her legs under the water, egotistically saying, "You screamed my name."
She tried to get away from his feet, but it was impossible. "But it we weren't having sex."
"Not yet at least."
Her eyes widened at his twinkling ones. "But we just..."
"I know. That was an hour ago, this is now."
"Ever since this baby stuff you've been wanting to go non stop." She pushed a little water his way and it slapped playfully against his chest.
He didn't move, just kept staring at her. "I cant help it I want you, no NEED you 24/7." He saw her blush a little, tuck her chin in her chest and look away, smiling. "Why you smiling."
She blushed some more and shyly whispered, "I like it when you talk like this."
"When I talk dirty?"
"You aren't talking dirty, just...sexy." She giggled and then covered her mouth, embarrassed with how giddy he was making her.
"I can talk dirty and sexy if you want me to."
She shook her head no. "No, I think I'm turned on enough right now, thank you."
"Oh really? I might have to take advantage of that Mrs. Timberlake."
"I love it when you call me that." She looked up and saw him wink at her, then wiggle his eyes.
"I know."
Before she knew it he had drove forward in the small space, almost completely covering himself with water and bubbles. He reached for her but she stood up and leaped out of the tub before he had a chance to attack her. "AHH JUSTIN."
He propped himself up and wiped the water and suds off his face and slicked his hair back. He looked her up and down. "Baby you are wet...and dripping..."
Meredith grabbed a towel and tried to cover her self. "You are so bad..."
She got the towel around her body but before she knew it he was in front of her, naked and dripping wet with soapy bathwater. "Meredith you haven't seen me bad..." He smiled and then swept her up in his arms, throwing her over his shoulder.
"PUT ME DOWN!" She yelled at him, trying not to laugh at the sight of his bare behind right before her eyes. He was getting everything imaginable ruined with water. "JUSTIN YOU ARE GETTING EVERYTHING SOAKED!"
But then she went flying and hit the bed and he pinned her to it with himself. "Get off the bed now!"
"Angel, stop pretending to be mad." He laughed and casually undid the towel, exposing all of her to him. He sighed at the sight and smiled genuinely into her eyes.
She smirked as his lips found her neck and her hand found his wet curls. "I'm still going to say Tom's name"
His wet lips traveled up to her ear and he sucked on her earlobe a bit until she moaned. He licked his lips and whispered against her ear. "And I'm still going to scream yours."
--------
It was extremely chilly in their bedroom. Usually after they had made love the room seemed to have a gentle coolness about it, but this was like Antarctica. And all because of one thing: Justin.
Their black and tan comforter was probably ruined now. Where she was laying wasn't that bad, but the fact that he was right beside her, still damp from their bath, and practically sleeping in a puddle of bathwater made her cold. Her teeth were chattering and chill bumps rose on her skin. When she looked at Justin, she saw, he too had chill bombs scattered over his body. He had just gotten over the cold a week ago and she wasn't about to let him get it again.
She rolled off the bed, hearing him groan something as the weight shifted, but not really caring she woke him up. The thick quilt that Justin's grandmother had made for them was picked up in her arms and she came back towards the bed.
"Justin, get up for a second."
His face scrunched up and he sifted on the bed, groaning. "Wha?"
She giggled and pushed on him a little. "Get up, baby."
He did as she asked and rolled off the bed, standing there with droopy eyes. "Why?"
"Because the comforter is wet and I don't want you laying on that and getting sick." She ripped the wet comforter off their bed and let it fall to the floor.
"Oh." He fell to the bed and pulled the sheet over him. Meredith giggled as he curled up in a ball and she followed his actions, getting under the sheet and then covered both of them with the thick blanket.
"Much Better." He sighed and pulled her close to him. "You are cold angel."
She "burred" and shivered. "So are you."
"Come here."
Once in Justin's warm arms, she was happier and not as cold. He held her against his chest and her feet were rubbing against his, trying to gain some warmth to them. Justin grinned, "You didn't say Tom's name by the way. You moaned some guy's name...Justin i think..."
Meredith giggled and drew a circle on his bare chest with his finger. "Ya know, we...we are going to have to start thinking about baby names...sometime."
"Justin Jr...Kidding." He chuckled.
"You want a girl or a boy."
He sighed and she felt his body go completely lax under hers. "I just want a kid. Which reminds me, I got you a present."
He rolled away from her and stood up. "You what?"
"Wait here." Justin grinned and walked over to their closet. She couldn't help but turn a little pink and smile at his appearance. She had seen him fully naked a million times. But just seeing him walk around like it was second nature, amused her, and made her shy side appear.
Justin returned with a small "gap" bag and got back under the covers, sitting up against he headboard and pillows. "When me and Joey went out yesterday afternoon, we winded up in the mall and Joey drug me into the Baby gap. Well I got a little carried away, I just...I thought it would be a nice little thing to have, to remind us what we are working for here."
He brought out two small outfits from the baby gap. One was for a girl and the other for a little boy, with cute little hats to match. Meredith shook her head and looked between the small pieces of clothing and his twinkling eyes. "Justin you...you shouldn't have done this."
HE smiled and shrugged. "Why not? I thought it was a cute little idea. See a little girl's outfit and a little boy's. Because well we don't know what were going to have yet."
Meredith just giggled and pushed herself up so she could kiss his lips. "But, baby what if we have like a giant baby or a premature. They'll never fit into this."
Justin's nose wrinkled and he swatted at her. "Oh shush. That's not going to happen. This..this is going to be perfect. My perfect wife is going to have a perfect little child, MY perfect little child. And then we will be a perfect little family."
Meredith sighed at his wistful voice and laid her head on his shoulder. "Perfect eh?"
"That's the way I see it, yeah."
She closed her eyes and relished in the feeling of him close. "I hope you are right."
"I'm always right. Have I failed you once Meredith. Have I?"
She looked up at him and shook her head no. "No, never."
His eyes bore into hers. "And I wont fail you in this. It's all going to be just...perfect. I can feel it. It has too."
Her head rested back on his chest and she sighed. "Like I said, I hope your right." Back Forward
