In our Fish Camp, located where the Mississippi meets the Gulf, come and discover Louisiana's wild life

Numerous species of birds have chose Louisiana for their migration in the swamps of the Gulf of Mexico: pelicans, pink aigrettes , pink flamingos, ducks. Being protected, you can approach them easily to take exceptional photos: the flight of the pelicans, the perched aigrette, etc.

Louisiana also has a large number of mamals: raccoons, nutria, armadillos, does, & and reptiles like the undeniable alligator that can achieve the size of five meters long. Don't confuse it with the crocodile: when it closes its mouth, you can't see an alligator's teeth. To fish the alligator we attach a chicken to a hook above the surface of the water: the higher the chicken the bigger is the alligator you catch.

This area is also famous for fishing: troute, carpe, tuna & and many others like the "redfish" or the "catfish" that are nothing like our redfish or catfish in France. The difference is mainly in theirsize. The smallest one you catch here would probably be your best personal record in France! Frank who loves to fish in salt on non-salty water can provide you with a room at his fishing cabin built on pilings because the water can rise by two meters during a hurricane. In his boat he can take you quickly to a good spot to collect oysters or catch a good meal of fish.
