Mostly famous for sun ...fun, guys, songs, food and unique character of its people, at a more attentive and less superficial glance it shows its nature as city of art, not embalmed into museum clothes, but really alive and kicking into daily rhythm of its special urban life.

"Italy’s beloved classics—Rome, Venice, Florence—get more attention. But it is Naples, a storehouse of artistic and archaeological treasures, where the author believes you’ll find the authentic Italian city experience" ( By Lorenzo Carcaterra - Traveler - NATIONALGEOGRAPHIC )

Perhaps no other european city has both old and new, good and evil, strong and roamntic,  history and life such as Naples way, obvious and incredible.

The old saying "See Naples, than die" means only: once you've known Naples, can say having known life !!!!

Let's try it !

The Plebiscito Piazza is one of the most important piazza in Naples. Plebiscito has become the symbol of recent Naples renovation since it recovered its representative function on the occasion of G7  attended here in autumn 1994

Till that moment, for a long and dark period, this piazza had been used as car and bus parking. Today is instead a pedestrian precinct designed for tourists and dwellers enjoyment ...its possible to meet there a lot of army guys and very very handsome boys!  Every now and then here are played public concerts for some important occasions

The first and most frequented among these landing points is the Mergellina harbour, always full of craft, standing against each other in such a way to almost hide the sea below.

All around on the rocks is full of nice semi - nude men standing to take sun and have a long swimming! Let's go to see the incredible swollen swimwear that they have!

Along the road which runs on its side many kiosks provide people with sandwiches and drinks, gladden in daytime and nightlong too this stretch of the road which comes alive and becomes meeting place for special neapolitan young people.

The sea front promenade it's called "Caracciolo Road" that starts from the Mergellina harbour and leads to Piazza Vittoria where it meets the more ancient districts of Chiaia.

Recently, thanks to a Municipal Act, each Sunday it becomes a pedestrian area so that city-dwellers can fully enjoy this part of the city, especially the younger ones who find here a wide and safe space to play in, between greenery and the sea. That's the favorite place of the athletic young guys that use it for the all outdoors sports!

Behind this part of the sea front promenade there is the Villa Comunale (Municipal Villa the best cruising area), a group of public gardens which extend for more than a kilometre. It was realizised in a first shape between 1778 and 1780 by order of King Ferdinand IV Bourbon. At the beginning it was called Royal Villa: first part was opened to people in 1781 and after then it was many times enlarged till getting the present shape
