What
Is N.A.P.?
The primary purpose of the Neighborhood Action Program (N.A.P.)
is to empower and enable young adolescents to make positive personal
safety decisions by providing them with the life skills necessary
to avoid drugs, violence, abuse and other forms of negative behavior.
Why
Was N.A.P. Organized and How Will It Help Our Community?
N.A.P. was organized to:
• enhance interpersonal and decision making skills
which will help young adolescents choose alternatives to
high
risk behaviors
|
• provide
crime awareness/prevention meetings with parents and adolescents,
workshops, health fairs, and other
programs that encourage drug prevention
• educate and motivate young adolescents to purse healthy
lifestyles
• reduce the number of drug users, traffickers and violent
crime offenders in the Logan Community
Who Organized The Program?
The Neighborhood Action Program is the product or result of a local
parent, concerned citizens, public service providers and members
of the faith community, taking a stand and reaching out to help
young people develop effective prevention programs.
